Wow! This series is so great. It is fun and exciting. The artwork is amazing and the imagination to set up the world is boundless. This book takes us underwater where memories are stored. The story is pretty much a cliff hanger to beat all cliff hangers. The story moves at a quick pace and covers a lot of ground.

I'm almost caught up to what is being published now which means I am going to have to wait for #9 just like everyone else. That is a bummer. It's so good and I want to know how it ends. I am enjoying this a lot.

I think what I love most about this series besides the plot in general and the characters of course is the amazing coloring that is done by Jason Caffoe. Holy crap! He is amazing, and I want to find more stuff he's contributed on if he has any. Definitely recommend this graphic novel series to everyone!

THIS WAS DEFINITELY THE BEST ONE YET.

Basically the entire backstory was revealed regarding the voices of the stones and what they really want. It was interesting to see Trellis' memories, as well as the dreams of her father that the amulet conjured

Navin and Aly were basically on their own adventure, and the book was told through both stories. In book six, it was also mentioned that the bots in the Charnon house had received the communication signal from Lucien, so I honestly can't wait to see how they all reunite.

bUT THAT ENDING. OH MY GOD.

Overall, the art was excellent, as always, and it was fascinating to see how all the plotlines are slowly being woven back together. Honestly speaking, this series has been getting better with every book.

I can confidently say that if I was able to read this installment right after the sixth one then I would've given this 4 stars. However, because it's been awhile since I read it, I found it really hard to jump into the series again. I found it quite confusing at first as I tried to remember all the characters and plotlines. That being said, once I mostly figured out what was going on, I really enjoyed it! The art was beautiful as always and I like where the story is going :)

Initial Reaction: Oh my gosh I love the colour scheme on the cover! I am so excited now that I read in an interview that there is going to be at least nine books in the Amulet series! Yay! :)

Let go to regain control.

Emily and Trellis are trying to find Trellis's missing memories in the hopes to learn something that might help them defeat Trellis's father, the Elf king. Navin and Aly are trying to get to Valcor along with general Pil.

Emily and Trellis are helped by Gabilan to find missing memories who also lets them know more about the voice and the shadows. Navin and Aly are also helped by some unexpected allies. They are all trying to complete their missions and defeat the Elf king once and for all.

I loved this after the not-so-impressive Escape from Lucien. Trellis is definitely my favorite character in the series followed closely by Navin. This book seemed more darker and dangerous and the stakes felt way too high. I still didn't get enough Navin, he is always sidelined but Trellis's story made up for that in this for me. I have loved the art throughout the series and this was no exception. That ending was so so good. I can't wait to read the next.

For a while, especially book 5 and 6, the storyline was starting to get confusing. There were so many things going on in each book in this series that i was having a hard time catching up. It was fast-paced but everything was happening all at once that i, as a reader, started losing track of all the important scenes that happened and the characters that we were introduced to throughout the series.
But anyway, this book felt less confusing and things are making a bit more sense. I enjoyed it a lot. The art, as usual, was great. I liked it as an individual graphic novel just as much as an installment in a series.

"You think we will become monsters."
"History teaches us that you will both lose this battle."

Emily, Trellis and Vigo are off in search of Algos Island, the lair of all memories.
Warned of their impending battle against the Voice, the evil force inside the Stones by their adversary Max, the three Stonekeepers must break the hold the Stones have on their memories.

But this task comes at a heavy price.
To get their memories back, Emily and Trellis will have to accompany an old foe into dark depths.
And what they find there will change both- Emily,

and Trellis-

forever.

Remember that it's easier to see where light is coming from in the dark. This is important to remember...

Well god damn it.

Yeah. So, I checked the first book of this series out, what, like six months ago? I thought it was so cute and it would be so fun to read over the summer and I would be the coolest aunt ever when I showed them to my nephew, and NOW I've been thrown into a rage by a MF-ing middle grade graphic novel series.
I knew better. I ALWAYS know better. I'm not a genius but for Christ's sake I should know myself better than this by now.
And here we are again.

Don't ask. If I knew why I was like this, I wouldn't be like this.

On to the book. I guess.

Firelight is the true beginning of the end for Amulet. The first book of the final trilogy, it takes Emily, Trellis and Navin on the first leg of their last journey.
The Hayes childrens' past, the death of their father, and their journey to Alledia are all reviewed for the reader to see where the fight against the evil force of the Voice really began.

Kibuishi has completely erased young, innocent Emily from book 1. She, along with Trellis and her little brother, have changed drastically. It's a little sad to see a child go through these kind of straits, the innocent nature of the first three books is gone completely, but Emily still feels like our original hero. She's grown, like any decent main hero, into a darker figure that has a harder time seeing the lines of right and wrong.
Real 'heroes' and 'villains' are harder to distinguish than that.

art specs

Nope. Never gonna change my tune. Ever. I freaking love Kibuishi's art. I do. This is the seventh time I've said so. Do you even read this part anymore?

Seven down, two (as of yet, unpublished) to go.

The plot thickens and we are slowly moving toward the finale.

I opet imamo knjigu koja se cita u jednom cugu, koja ne pusta od pocetka do kraja. Imamo par opustajucih momentata ali veci deo su edge of the seats dogadjaji.

Plus scenografija je stvarno predivna na momente i vole bi neke scene da vidim na platnu meta sa dva metra :)

Preporuka.

Sada cekajmo godinu dana na sledeci deo price :(

This graphic novel is a quick, fun read targeted at middle grade readers. In this installment, Emily and her sidekicks make it to Algos Island. Why are they there? Well, to access lost memories so they can understand the events of Trellis's childhood, and what happened between him and his father, of course. Things do not go smoothly, but then when do they ever in a quest?

Emily is center stage in volume, and could it really be true that the Amulet chose her for her weaknesses rather than her strengths?

The art continues to be lovely, but I do think that this series is dragging on longer than necessary. In this volume the story only moves forward a couple of inches, and I hear that there might be another two volumes still to come. I'm hoping that the next one is tighter and starts to bring this fun series to a satisfying close.

7th book of the series and it still hasn't let me down. I completely flew through this! I was sucked in the artwork. I mean, look:

I loved how just when you thought this couldn't get any better, you were slammed in the face with a plot twist.

This was such a fun read! If you haven't read this series yet, I don't know what you're waiting for. Just, go for it. It doesn't even matter you're age; you'll still love it.

Wow! Crazy things happening. This is the seventh book in the series so I can't discuss too much. I read book 6 right when it came out so I kind of forgot what happened at the end so jumping back into this one was a tad confusing.

Emily, Navin and Mom have been separated on purpose. They all have a group and a goal in mind. In this book we see what each has been up to and what the end game is. It's up to Emily. Will the world that she has been trying to fight for be destroyed by her own hands or will she conquer her demons and fight the stones control?

4.5 stars for the 7th installment in the Amulet series.

God, that twist and that ending and those emotions!
This one made my skin crawl with anticipation and intensity.

One more book to go and then I need to wait until 2024 for the last installment.
I can't believe it will end. I'll definitely re-read the series one day.

It was the best Amulet ever!!!!!!If you read them that is proof that all Amulet books are
A)The best graphic novels of all time (along with Smile and Sisters)
B)Getting better and better as you read them.
It was easy for me to figure out that Emily's weakness was that her father had died. She was so sad looking that I bet she would do anything to get him back. All she really wanted when she arrived was to get her family back together. But I think she's finally excepted that she's going to have to do something to save everyone in "the magical land" (I forgot what the name was) if she even wants a home to go back to.I also think "the magical land" has become as much her home as the other.
When Emily lost control I got 'kinda sad.I so thought that she woulden't!
I admit it's nice that she turned into a bird made out of fire. She could have been something worse, like a giant troll(they smell terrible) or a ginormous alligator.
When the eighth comes out I so hope I can get my hands on it quick!
I look at the clock just now and I've been on here waaaaay to .Long.
