DNF at 1% WTF happened here? A Japanese grandmother, 80 years of age sounding like an 18 year old airhead? Complete with the slang and all? None of my GR friends read it, all the other UNKNOWN reviews have 5 or 4 stars ratings. Seriously, I should have seen it coming. I blame myself...
Love love love love Teo!!! The chemistry between Amy and Teo was off the charts! Although I kinda dislike Amy at first she redeemed herself towards the end when she went to the Philippines to that for me is one of the sweetest thing a girl can do for someone she says she doesn't care about. =) But Teo I LOVE HIM!!! Yeah he was a douche at times, but it goes with the territory being a billionaire's son, a hot racer but he treated Amy with respect so for me all is good. =) Highly recommended.
When I started reading this book, I thought it was the typical, bad bod meets nice and sweet girl, they fall in love and after some problems they live happily ever after. I was really surprised when after some pages I could see that it was not like that at all. Don’t get me wrong, Teo Alexiou is a bad bod!! But he doesn’t care to be one, and he doesn’t care what people thinks about him. He is cool going out with as many girls as he can, and live a dangerous life though a dangerous career. But there is only one exception...his grandmother. He would do anything...absolutely anything for her. She is everything and most important person in his life, and he cares for what she wants for him, and he cares to make her feel happy and proud of him. She is his entire world.
“I’m not paying anyone to be my girlfriend.” Teo sidestepped around a group of young men licking tequila shots off a model’s body.
Knowing this, she asks, as a gift for her upcoming birthday, Teo to find a real girlfriend. This promise, he isn’t so sure he can keep, because as much as he tries, he can’t open his heart to love a woman, to find happiness with someone. Not knowing how to do that, he comes up with the idea of hire a fake girlfriend, at least till after the birthday. He asks help to his best friend, and they both look for the perfect, sweet, innocent woman for him.
Amy Suzuki is an aspiring actress and is desperate to find an acting job to keep her freedom and to be someone known in Hollywood bussiness. If she doesn’t find something, she will be forced to move back home with her parents and follow their path for her life, which is nothing alike to what she wants and hopes. When her dreams are falling apart, Teo finds her and propose her a role in a new reality tv show, not having any other offer, she quicly accepts to do it.
“She had to be feeling it too, the instant chemistry. Teo didn’t believe in love at first sight, but lust at first contact? Definitely. One more lens before kissing started. Patience.”
It was supossed to be easy, not hearts involve, pure acting. But sometimes life shows us that when you least expect it, things can be so different, and can change in the blink of an eye. Hearts get involve...the passion explodes...and fears get in the middle of what could be something wonderful, pure and deep.
“This could be real. You could fall in love.”
I really loved of this story that, even when they were trying to act tough and like they were cool with the arrangment, they were still showing how much they care for each other. Teo was so sweet and gentlemen. Always worrying for Amy, and her needs. And surprising her in so many ways. And as for Amy, she couldn’t let go so easy. For her this was just a role, and there were no feelings involve. She was analizing everything, every word, every move, and that at times was pretty annoying. Cause she wasn’t enjoying at all, and she wasn’t letting go her fears either.
“I’ve an idea. For the rest of the episodes, we’ll go with their stupid script. Don’t worry about me. I’ll know you’re acting and I’ll be acting too. But we’ll also get off-camera time together where we can be ourselves.”
I think one of the best moments of the book, was when things were really really bad, and Amy realized of her feelings, of how much she loved Teo, and she worried for him. What she did, not knowing if it would work or if people would be angry for it, she took the risk of doing it, because she wanted Teo to be okay and happy, even if they were not together again.
“It doesn’t matter for me. I’m not trying to get him back. I don’t care for his money. I just want him to be happy. If you go to him, I’ll step out of his life completely. I promise you.”
What it makes this an incredible, well writting story is that you can relate it to situations of the real life, the care of dealing with tough and sensitive topics. There are situations where pain is so strong, so deep, that can go a long way in taking control of your life if you allow it. Only thing you can do is try to break free, try to accept what happened and the person you are because of it, and allow yourself to be happy, to find happiness and love. Because no matter what, and how bad things can be, there will always be that one person that would help us to explore our deep feelings and to show us that we are worthy and that we can be loved.
“His smile spread and he glowed as if the moon reflected from his face. “I love you, Amy. I love you more than my past.”
Highly recommend it if you want a story fill with pain, emotion and true love.
Roaring Hot is an incredibly passionate and highly introspective journey that will leave you utterly breathless with astonishment and reeling from the amazing twists and turns along the way. It is a story of breaking free of the invisible chains that we wrap around our hearts in the name of love and peace. This is not for the faint of heart as the topics dealt with are very real and will evoke unwanted feelings from the depths of your soul. Be prepared to truly and honestly feel the struggles and pain of the beautiful characters that you will discover within these pages. They will latch onto your heart and throw you into one wild rollercoaster ride. I dare you to walk away from this exquisite creation and just try to ignore the impact that it will have on your outlook on life from now on.
Teo Alexiou would do anything to please his grandmother who raised him as her own from the age of three. He would go to any lengths and depths to bring a smile to her face because she is his entire world. Knowing this, his grandmother gently but firmly tells him exactly what she wants for her eightieth birthday – find a real girlfriend. This is one promise he isn’t so sure he can keep because no matter how hard he may try, he just isn’t able to open his heart to truly love a woman. In an attempt to fulfill his grandmother’s wish, he does the next best thing. He asks his friend to help him find a fake girlfriend. That way, he doesn’t have to worry about surrendering his heart because when you’re acting it isn’t real, right? Amy Suzuki is an aspiring actress who is desperate to find an acting job in order to keep her freedom and her hopes alive. If she doesn’t find something that’s legit and pays well very soon, she will be forced to move back home with her parents and follow their path for her life. Her death grip on her dreams is quickly slipping, so when she’s offered the lead role on a new reality TV show she quickly agrees to the deal. What neither Teo nor Amy realize is that sometimes life has a way of entangling the heart into things that we were so sure were iron clad and safe. Will Teo and Amy find themselves burned by what they least expect, or will the healing radiance of something so pure and true chase away their fears and show them that vulnerability is worth the risk?
I was deeply touched by the grace and gentleness that this story showed in its care of dealing with tough and sensitive topics. These are topics that will touch many lives and will impact them in a very positive way. I can attest to wrestling with them myself throughout my life. Not a day goes by when I don’t have to remind myself to be true with people and allow them to see my heart. Otherwise, I would be glad to keep it locked away and free from any more hurt. That’s not reality, and this story portrayed that thought incredibly well and with a lot of tact. The characters really pulled on my heart from the very beginning, and I felt like I was a part of the story because I could relate to them so well. My heart hurt for them as they made choice that were painful that kept leading them to the same conclusion. They just refused to see what was right in front of their face. Pain can go a long way in taking control of your life if you allow it. It will shield you from happiness, fill you with never-ending doubt, and load you down with needless worries. What would happen if we would choice instead to take control of our pain and allow ourselves the immense freedom and endless blessings of living life as it comes? What would our friends and family think? What would the world around us think?
It’s definitely official that I am a huge fan of Rachelle Ayala! Her stories are exquisitely stunning and utterly heart-wrenching, and yet throughout each of them there is a small ray of hope that shines begging to be seen and fighting to survive. She truly knows how to grab your heart and capture your attention from the very first word. I have yet to be able to put one of her books down after I start reading it. It’s almost mandatory that I have to read it in one sitting, otherwise; I would go crazy wondering what would happen next. My heart gets so invested in her characters that I just have to see them through to the end. I recommend her stories whole-heartedly to anyone who isn’t afraid to take a good look inside their heart and see who they really are. Don’t let fear stop you from becoming who you are meant to be. True happiness comes from accepting who you are and pushing ever forward with confidence and determination to living life as it was mean to be lived - with your heart wide open, your eyes looking forward, and your mind at peace.
I was slow to like Roaring Hot. In the beginning of the book I found Amy a bit dull… and Teo was your average rich ass. I couldn’t find much to like about either of them. The whole idea of hiring Amy for what started out as a fake reality show just to get her into acting as Teo’s girlfriend in front of his grandmother was just too far-fetched to me. But… by the end of the book… I was in love. It was almost like I didn’t know Amy & Teo at the beginning and made assumptions… exactly like Amy & Teo didn’t know each other. As the book went on Amy & Teo couldn’t help but share parts of their personal lives and real selves with each other… and as they opened up I found more about each of them that I liked. When each of them would internally argue over whether the other was being honest or acting… I struggled to figure out if I really liked them together or not.
I refuse to ruin an ending… but this ending… my heart broke a little bit. From the moment Teo has his accident I started reading faster wanting to know how it would end. I still almost can’t quite handle the crash to the final page. It contained a real roller coaster of emotions. I plan to go back today and reread that part of the book. I find myself wondering how I would deal if something like this ending ever happened to me. And (trying really hard to avoid spoilers) I really want to ask the author “So???? Does Teo ever get it back?????”
When I started this book I was in the midst of a crazy, stressful and exhausting time at work. I really didn't see how I would have time to read this. The next thing I knew I was reading the last page! This book was just what I needed to keep myself sane and slip out of my own mentally draining days!
The tension and chemistry between Teo and Amy is beyond hot. They try to fight the relationship (which makes for a fantastic story) but in the end.....well.....I'll let you find out how that all plays out. From beginning to end this story kept me surprised. When I first started reading it I didn't think it would be such an introspective tale. I loved watching the relationship grow....even though Amy "didn't love" Teo.
It's a new year, make one of your goals to read more. Put this book on the short list of must read books and get started!
Teo and Amy were not the only ones confused about their relationship and what was real and what was acting, but man, did I fall in love with both of them!
Teo is the hot and hunky “bad boy” and “playboy” – someone I would totally fall for in real life even though I know he would only break my heart.
Amy is the sweet, innocent one that I could relate too.
Those two coming together was magic, but neither one of them could figure it out together until, of course, things go south.
It’s kind of like that song – ‘you don’t know what you’ve got, til it’s gone’.
I really enjoyed this read and while I categorized it as “adult romance”, it isn’t raunchy. There are some romantic scenes that involve physical interaction, but nothing too racy.
Teo Alexiou is at the top of his game in the Moto racing world. When his grandmother makes him promise to have a girlfriend by her next birthday, he makes a deal with Amy, an actress that he hires under false pretense. Amy thinks that she is playing a part in a reality show. Once the acting starts though, which one will be the first to break the rules and fall in love for real?
What a unique love story! With the lure of rich bad boy, and all-inclusive worldly travels, love couldn’t help but happen. I could tell from the start that Teo was more sensitive than he alluded to. I think this has become my favorite story so far from Ms. Ayala.
Roaring Hot is a beautiful and passionate story that will leave you breathless and dreaming at times... Rachelle Ayala has become one of my favorite contemporary romance authors by now. Her writing is fun, witty, intimate and passionate..
Teo Alexiou, from his desire to please his mother, decides to find him a fake girlfriend. Amy Suzuki is an aspiring actress who is desperate to find an acting job...Amy agrees to be Teo's fake girlfriend for one summer, however, little did she know that they will find themselves in the grips of a passionate hot love...The entire story is well constructed and the chemistry between the two heroes is Roaring Hot!! It is a really good book.
Teo is a famous billionaire playboy motorcycle racer and Amy is an aspiring actress. He needs a pretend girlfriend for his Grandmother's birthday gala and she needs a job that pays. Amy accepts a part in a Reality Show and pretending to be Teo's girlfriend will test her acting ability. She is feisty and he is an absolute playboy hunk. The twist and turns of his motorcycle is nothing compared to their wild ride on the highway of love. Will Amy 's love heal the sadness in his eyes?I would highly recommend this book to everyone! This was my first book to read by Rachelle Ayala, but I wouldn't be my last.
Teo Alexiou is in desperate need of a "real girlfriend" to bring to his grandma's birthday party.
Amy Suzuki needs to find an acting job ASAP unless she wants to move back home with her parents and work for her father.
What results is Teo having a reality show based on finding love with him and Amy being the girl set out to win his heart.
But as time goes on the couple is unsure of what is real and what is pretend. When Teo is in an accident will he remember Amy or are they both to late in figuring what they both really want?
Teo is so hot and rich. He is also a motorcycle rider. This bad boy meet his match to Amy. She is a dreamer and willing to achieve her dreams from becoming a famous actress. This book will melt your heart. It is fun and sexy to read too. I love this book by Ms. Rachelle Ayala. I love that some scenes are in my native country the Philippines too. It brings a little home in me while reading this beautiful book. I highly recommend this book to everybody.
Wow! Teo is nothing but one hot amazing racer. Someone any Amy Suzuki out there would want. I also like Teo's grandma. What a cool grandmother to have! :) Amy's visit to the Philippines makes me want to hug her! That's just shows that love indeed can move a mountain.
It was one unique story with a lot of twists. I love how beautiful the ending was. ♥
Passion, chemistry, family, uncertainty, love and that devious Ronaldo Silver all are front and center in this release by Rachelle Ayala. With a desire to please his grandmother, Teo decides to find himself a fake girlfriend. With the help of his friend Ronaldo, they set up a realty show and find an actress to play his girlfriend. Amy is an aspiring actress and sees this opportunity as the big break for her career. Little do these two know what they are in for. I found it easy to fall for Teo, his character is wounded and seems to be pretty up front with who he is. Amy it took me a little while longer to warm up to, but as she warmed up, so did I. I enjoyed the supporting characters, happy to see Ronaldo from the Intercepted by Love series, always causing trouble. I also enjoyed Teo's grandmother and sister. They brought some unexpected personalities in that were fun. Ayala has once again brought a complex story and wove a beautiful love story around it. This book was a pleasure to listen to.
This is the first time I have heard Charley Ongel narrate a book by herself. Usually in a team with Tor Thom, this book is able to showcase her talents with both male and female voices. She gave a beautiful performance.
Amy is an aspiring actress with a mound of student debt; Teo is a motorcycle racer who needs a reputation makeover...besides, his grandmother is dying and wishes for him to be in a serious relationship. The solution...hire Amy to be his pretend girlfriend! That, in itself, is a challenge, because while Amy is attracted to Teo, she has many insecurities that Teo's filming crew use to their advantage. Just as Amy is beginning to recognize her feelings for Teo, he is seriously injured in a crash. Will Teo recover from his injuries or is it the end of the fledgling relationship? I loved Teo's meddling, but well meaning, grandmother...I hope I'm that spunky at 80! Great HEA.
Teo needs a girlfriend to take to his Grans birthday after he finds out she may not have long to live. He is a relationship phobe and a playboy not believing in love. Amy is an aspiring actress that also has relationship issues. She gets a chance to audition for a role in a reality show to win over a motorcycle racer. There are several little plots with the major one and as many curves and twits as on a racetrack. As always Rachelle Ayala has come out with another great story. If you like really hot, sexy stories, rich men, playboys, twists and turns, a fun romance and great characters, this is for you.
I couldn't say whether Amy had loose morals or not. It seemed like her morals were good, but she gave in when she thought she would be kicked off the show. No matter how the author tried to write this; Amy and Teo are intrinsically too different in their value systems, except when it came to family. Even then, Teo would push her away, because family is a painful subject for him. It took memory loss for these two actually to get together. I was into it until. What a letdown! Reader is engaging, but there are places where even the reader had a hard time trying to engage the reader with the drivel.
Roaring Hot was a good read by Rachelle Ayala. Teo Alexiou is a motorcycle racer who is challenged by his grandmother to come to her birthday party with a real girlfriend. He decides to hire an actress to play the part since he is afraid of being roped into marriage. Amy Suzuki doesn’t want to be a kept woman but acting gigs or her are non existent. She agrees to what Teo says for one summer. They never expected to be caught up in love. Teo wants to renegotiate their terms while Amy insist she’s only with him because she’s getting paid. Everything blows up in their faces when Two is injured on the track. I really enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more by the author.
Audiobook: I enjoyed this story a lot. Teo's grandmother wanted him to bring a girlfriend to her birthday party. Teo didn't want to get married. He decided to hire an actress to play the role of his girlfriend as a part of a reality show. This story was based on one of my favorite tropes that of a fake relationship. I liked the characters as they were personable. I enjoyed the amusing incidents as the story unfolded. I thought Charley Ongel's narration was pleasing and easy to follow. I was gifted a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered to post this review without financial gain. It was my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
The ego has landed and it's about to be brought down to size. Roaring Hot is a scorcher. Ms. Ayala let's her inner comedian shine through with Amy "hot tamale" Suzuki and Tao the lovable but frustrating egomaniac. She wants to follow her dream. He wants his family off his back. The aspiring actress and the monied up racer are about to broker a deal with unexpected results. Charley Ongel was a great choice to bring this fire inducing duo to life. She stayed true to the sassy spirit of the characters, but brought out more of the heart as well.
Audio book review This story is just as hot as all of Rachelle stories. This one is of a biker that thinks he is the end all to every women . Hero is Teo. Heroine is Amy. Teo gets roped into hiring Amy has his fake girlfriend when Teo grandmother invites him to see her . The grandmothers purpose is to get him married. After a while Teo starts to get feeling for Amy . Teo is a biker, who has money , he’s also a reckless biker . The ending will break your heart about Teo, yes it ends on a cliffhanger. Charley performance was great . She did all the characters great
Roaring Hot, my first read from author Rachel Ayala an author I’d wanted to read for some time. I got this book back in March of 2017 & never got around to reading it until I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing. Charly Ongel’s narration added to the book's enjoyment and since I own both the Kindle & Audible editions I was able to follow along while being read to. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
I loved the meddling grandmother in this story! The premise of having a fake fiancé to get one's relatives to stop meddling is not original, but so enjoyable. The narrator, Charley Ongel did a great performance. Typically I hear her in duets, so this was refreshing to hear her wide range of character voices. I thought she nailed it. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review
This book has many elements. The romance was second fiddle to the characters trying to find their true selves. I liked that neither really embraced there Asian culture, and learned alot about who they want to be because of there families interference and protective nature. Everything about the story came together beautifully and unexpected.
Once Rachelle Ayala was introduced to me as an author, I was immediately hooked. She has a writing style that makes everything just flow so smoothly and it makes you not want to put the book down. Roaring Hot is a passionate read that will leave you speechless and wanting more because of all the different plot twists that Rachelle has you going through with the characters along the way. This is a story of becoming your own person and breaking out of the mold for the sake of love. The topics in this novel are ones that are not to be taken lightly, so I just want to prepare you as a reader for some tough stuff that have depth and will tug at all of your emotions as you read. Another reason why I love Rachelle’s writings is that she always makes me feel something whether it be good or bad.
Now to talk about the characters in Roaring Hot! Teo Alexiou is one of those people that would do anything to make his grandmother happy because since the age of three she was the one that raised him. He wants her to smile and be happy always. His grandmother made me smile when she told Teo that for her 80th birthday that she wanted him to find a real girlfriend. She wants him to find a girl that he is able to hold on to because no matter how much he has tried to find the girl for him he just can’t seem to open his heart up enough to let her in. Okay, so what do you think Teo does? He wants to make his grandmother happy and so he asks his friend to help him find a great fake girlfriend. This just sounded like it was going to be a recipe for disaster.
Enter Amy Suzuki. She is a girl that wants to be an actress and she needs a job BADLY. If she can’t find something soon, her dreams may be shattered and she will have to move back home. She is offered a role on a reality TV show and she takes it. Why wouldn’t she? This just may be her chance to get her foot in the door. Teo and Amy’s relationship was one that I enjoyed reading about and learning about each of them. Caring for another person can be difficult and the trying part of opening your heart to another person can be super hard. This is a test of opening your heart so that the right person may be able to get to know you and all your faults and love you just the same. I think everyone has had to do this at one point in their lives and so the story was very easy to relate to as I read it. Trusting yourself and just letting what is going to happen in life happen is one of the toughest life journeys to go through. This book was everything I expected from Rachelle Ayala and then some more.
Like I have stated, I am a huge fan of hers and have read everything that she has ever written. I have Kindle copies and paperback copies of a lot of her books. Not all, but one day I will!I am now and always will be a fan of Rachelle and her works. If you have never read anything by her before or even if you have, this is a must read!
I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.
I just simply love this story. This is not the typical romance or love story and that is one thing I like. first you have Teo the billionare biker who dont fall in love and on the other hand you have Ami who is a new actress who wants to get a good movie part. Their first meeting is far from sweet and after that is is a mix between sweet and not sweet becaue both of them is playing a role and refuses to let their guard down.
The story is complex and at first its hard to know if you like a person or not, I liked Ami because she refused to do thing that was wrong for her even if I sometimes feels she was selling herself out. She is somewhat a strong woman who wants to make it right for herself.
Teo on the other hand is hard to warm up to but after a while, when his story unfoldes it is a lot more easier and he is a really good character that I really really like and feel sorry for.
I like that the author has done a lot of research about Japan and how people from their act and there are scense from Japan and they are very well written, even if their is one of two things that isnt 100 correct, but that is things you only know if you have been there. But otherwise very nice and I love the ending of this book. It is so super and sweet.
So I need to say something about Oba-chan, Teos grandmother, she is turning 80 and use a computer and internet very well. Maybe not so believable but I can see it happens, specially in her situation who son and grandchildren all over the world. I also loved her and how she treated Teo and wanted the best for him. I have a grandmother, who isnt 80 but old, and she knows how to use a computer and internet and such so I dont find it as wierd as some people might do. I think it is what you are used to and how the person acts in general. I can say that oba-chan dont act like 80!
I can recommend this book, it has a very nice storyline, that is complex and gives you laughter from time to time. It is a love story but not a typical love story and that is something I love with Rachelle Ayalas books, they are lovestories but with a very good story and very well written. and the story is almost always different from what other people write and that is something I enjoy a lot.
Roaring Hot was an addicting read! I couldn't get enough. I didn't want to put it down, even when I had to. The setting was very well described and the characters were well done.
Teo, in my opinion, overcame the biggest changes character wise within the story. Teo Alexiou was always the playboy with women hanging on him. His grandmother isn't happy about it and demands for him to bring a girlfriend to her birthday party. Teo agrees because his grandmother is very important to him, since she was the one who raised him. Teo went from having many women to pretending and being with only one. Part of the reason I felt he avoiding being in relationships was because he had abandonment issues. He's willing to do whatever it takes to please the one person who has always stand by him, his grandmother.
Amy was the typical, want-to-be Hollywood actress. Her roommate, who I felt was more using her than being a friend or supportive, helped get her a part where she would try to romance a motorcycle racer. Amy always seemed to over-analyze and be hyper aware of her own behavior. At times, I felt she acted robotic and didn't really know how to be herself or who she really was.
Teo's friend and fellow racer, Ronaldo, drove me nuts. He tried too hard to get drama involved in what was supposed to be a fake show. He seemed like he had his own plans and didn't care who he double-crossed.
Working and living in a world surrounded by acting, it's hard to see what's real and what's pretend. The pretend ending between Teo and Amy frustrated me. I had thought they felt more for each other than that, but Ronaldo played a part in how that went down. I adored the real ending, or more so beginning, for Teo and Amy.
I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours. All opinions above are 100% my own.
I enjoyed this romance very much. I loved the development of the characters and that Rachelle used some conflict that I had never seen used before in romance novels. Overall their love story is great and enjoyable to read. There's a particular scene in which Amy is done, quitting, wants nothing more to do with Teo. It's a little sad because we, the reader, know what Teo's thinking as well. Anyway, the next thing you know, he's essentially kidnapped her and they're ripping each other's clothes off.
This is problematic for two reasons, the first being that he ignored her wishes and did what he wanted regardless of her feelings. The second being that she had JUST resolved to have nothing more to do with him. They hadn't even talked since she was ready to storm away. This makes her look wishy washy and like she doesn't even know what she wants. Sure, she's conflicted, but she just went from roaring mad to getting naked in the matter of a few pages. It reinforces the stereotype that women don't know what they want. The worst part is, in every other part of the book consent is a huge thing. Like, I seriously contemplated standing up on my sofa and applauding how well she included the importance of consent, and not just the first "yes" but all the way through the entire act. That was really well done, and in comparison with this scene it really stuck out and made that particular scene look even worse.
Overall, I enjoyed the story line and the development of the characters and their relationship. We get to see both characters doing a lot of growing up and changing throughout the course of the book and that's refreshing to see.
There hasn’t really been a book that I have read by Mrs. Ayala that I have’t enjoyed and this is no exception! I was kind of skeptical at first, I thought it was going to be one of those books where Mr. Hottie falls in love with a beautiful girl & they fall in love, then have some problems & before the end of the book they work those problems out & live happily ever after. So imagine my surprise, when after getting through a few pages, I noticed I might have actually been wrong! Teo Alexiou is, for lack of better word, a man whore. He’s a multi-billionaire and has women flocking all over him. Amy Suzuki is a young aspiring actress who needs to find an acting job, and needs to find one NOW! They meet at a Pool Party, bump into each other, she spills her drink on her & then can’t get her contacts out because she has a nail biting problem and dipped her fingers in tobasco sauce. She tried getting them out & her eyes become inflamed. Teo is the kind of man I could totally see myself falling for in real life, if I weren’t very happily married. He would break my heart but I really think he’s the kind of guy I’d fall for. He’s the bad boy type, out for adventure. I like that. Amy is the one that I can relate to more. I enjoyed that even though the book is an adult book & has those adult moments in it, it’s not raunchy! It’s very steamy/racy, I’ll give it that, but far from Raunchy!
