A secret that tore them apart… Chloe Jamison has spent three years away from the love of her life for reasons she can’t reveal. When a scandal causes her to lose her job prospects as an interior designer, she has no one else to turn to except for the family that was once like her own. Architect Ryan Griffin waited five years for the girl he loved to be ready and then she dumped him for someone else after giving him her virginity. When she comes back into his life, needing his family’s help and wanting him back, he vows to protect his heart at all costs. An arrangement that has to be broken… Agreeing to give him her body whenever he wants it, Chloe soon realizes that having only a piece of Ryan will never be enough. When he comes to the same conclusion, they reignite their relationship while mixing business with endless nights of pleasure. Combining their talents in and out of the bedroom, it seems nothing can come between them this time. But, lingering issues with trust may end their relationship for good. Chloe and Ryan’s love for each other, along with the revelation of the secret from three years ago, may not be enough to get them past the hurt they have inflicted on each other a second time. Is love really worth it if you have to fight so hard to keep it?

Crystal Perkins has always been a big reader, but she never thought she would write her own book, until she sat down in 2014 and did it. She's now published over 40 books, and has been featured in several anthologies as well.
She lived in Las Vegas for over a decade, where you could find her running author events and winning bookseller awards. She's was recently living in North Dakota to be closer to her family, but she is back in Vegas. When she's not reading a few hundred books a year or chasing after her grandson, you can find her watching hockey (Go Knights Go!) and trying to find the perfect shade of lipstick.
She loves Star Wars AND Star Trek, but if pushed to choose, it will always be Leia and her crew who come out on top. Her love of all things nerdy comes through in her book characters, no matter the genre. A mac and cheese connoisseur, she travels the world looking for the perfect version, while attending book conventions and signings as a cover for her research. Poutine research is also conducted regularly on her trips.
Her first series, The Griffin Brothers, followed four billionaire brothers, and the third book, Creating a Love, was a finalist for a multicultural award in 2014. Her second series, Corrigan & Co. featured a secret society of female spies in Las Vegas. She followed this with Society Girls, which offered a glimpse into the training of the women who are recruited into the Corrigan & Co. Foundation, and the Society. The Company Men series featured the relatives of her secret society of spies. Activate is a Young Adult Sci-Fi standalone novel, and A Kiss Is Just a Kiss is a Romantic Comedy standalone book. If you like something darker, you can find her Horror short stories in the Never Fear anthologies!
She’s currently writing about modern day witches in her Burn series, and bridesmaids for hire who solve mysteries in The Maids! In 2020, she will also be starting a hockey novella series.

I enjoyed the first book in this series but this one didn't work for me. I really couldn't stand Ryan. I get that he was hurt but he didn't know what really went on. The way he treated Chloe was unacceptable and it was worse because she let him. They got a happy ending but I still wasn't a fan of Ryan.
I m really luvin this series its so good this is the second book in the series an it's about Ryan and Chloe an it's brilliant Chloe as put a lot on the line for the Griffin family but none of them have a clue what she did they just think she us evil an torn out Ryan's heart but if they only knew but know she's back an needs the Griffins help but even with them not very happy with her they still want to help she needs a job an Ryan gives her a job as his assistant he will find it hard bein close to her again but he will just carry on sleepin around an make pay for what she did but when she tells him she still luvs him he is shocked but he doesn't think he can give his heart to her again so he comes up with a sexual relationship only an she is ok with till she can give closer to him but things don't really go as planned cause Ryan ends up pushing her an she doesn't think she can take what he is doin she knows it was her fault but she had to protect the ones she luvd
There is a lot of history between Chloe an the Griffin family she as known them since she was 11 an her dad started workin for them so she is close to everyone of them she even protected them when she was younger she would let anyone away with talking bad or bein horrible to any of the family that's why she did what she had to even though it killed her an Ryan an after share there best yrs together
These were just so made for each other even with the few yrs difference they were never apart when younger an he was so romantic an cute an even now that they have had 3 yrs apart it's hard for them not to just go back to the way that things were they were so hot together even though Ryan was Chloe's first an only lover she felt she was experienced enough there is not hidin that Ryan as been about sexual an this is hard for Chloe but they were hot together like really hot an she was al Ryan wanted
I really enjoyed this book I felt so sorry for Chloe al the way through the book she part herself through hell an put up with Ryan bein a total ass him say an doin stupid there's I did want to slap him at times an I wish she would but when he was good he was great I really enjoyed getting more of the other characters they r just great I luvd the first book an can't wait to carry on with the rest of the series I know it's just goin to b great xxx
I was given a free copy of this book from the author (thank you) in exchange for a honest review.
Building Our Love by Crystal Perkins is a book that is also building a series and a great author. This is the second book in the Griffin Brothers Series. Like the first book, (Gaming for Love) this book follows a Griffin brother as he falls in love, and all the ups and downs that naturally comes when your in a relationship. Building Our Love is a little different, this is more of a book of second chances, secrets and scandals. If all of that doesn't get your motor revving right there, I think I may need to call the EMT's for the defribulator, seriously.
Chloe and Ryan has been friends forever, and in love since she was 14 and he was 17. Then after that one sweet, but awkward night, that they both gave each other the ultimate gift as loves, she just dumps him the next day. That's it, no explanation, not in person, not a heartfelt note... she did it over the phone. Oops, that is a little spoiler. Now she need his help, well some of us (me), would have told her where to go and gave her directions on how to get there faster. The Griffin family is one of a kind. They are sweet and caring. They help people in need (we need more people like this in the world). So, Chloe and Ryan enter into an unique arrangement, I can't give you too much more without giving too much away. I do want to say that I absolutely loved the last tree house scene, it made tears roll down my cheeks.
Perkins again, did a great job on her character development. She not only gives us all the goods on her two main characters, but she is continuously giving us peeks in the lives and minds of the other people that will be in up coming books as well. Most of the book is set in Vegas, with her living there, you know she gets everything right. I can't wait to dive right into the next book! If these books aren't on your TBR list they need to be! I recommend you put them on there today or go ahead and one click them, they are only $0.99 each. That's a bargain for a great romance. Of course, I'm the self proclaimed One Click Queen. I have to ground myself from time to time from one clicking, that's a sad day.
On a side note, her dedication at the end, to her dad, was so touching and heartfelt. I lost my Papa to Alzheimer as well in 2011. To me, he walked on water.
I give Building Our Love 5 Platypires Bama Love! Roll Tide, and Keep Reading Y'all
For some reason, it took me forever to finish this book. I finished the first in like a day, and then I don't know what happened. It's not even because I didn't like it. Anyway, once I finally settled down and just ready, I finished it in s couple hours and it was anazing. I definitely liked Chloe WAY more than I liked Yasmin. Although I liked Yasmin way more in this book than in hey book. maybe because she's all settled into her relationship and wasn't crying as much lol. Back to Clue and Ryan. Loved them. in the beginning ryan wasa complete ass but he fixed it. Chloe was awesome such a sweet carrying woman, Ruan is definitely lucky to have her. Love love loved owen and can't wait for his book. Since I know the author personally (name drop, Crystal Perkins, what what), I usually get advanced copies, but I think I ruined that since I took to long to read this one lol.
Since book 1 (Gaming for Love), Ryan has been my favorite among the Griffin brothers. He is sweet, thoughtful, and discreet. His behavior in the first few chapters of this book is very ungentlemanly. His ex-girlfriend, Chloe, has dumped him for another man due to a valid reason in order to protect her loved ones. But none of the Griffins knows the truth, and so, she has been treated awfully by them, most especially Ryan. Now that his ex is working for him as his Executive Assistant, he tries to make her life a living hell. His misbehavior will not last for long though, because he will once fall for her. Then he is back to the man I admire in the first book…respectable young tycoon and irresistible. ~Swoons~ Another lovely read!
absolutely ONE of the weakest most pitiful females I've ever read. from getting on her knees for him for two weeks (that's NOT love, that's pathetic desperation. then the whole blackmail scheme scenario, again....utterly ridiculous. you know why I gave it two stars.....really I don't know either, so let's go for one and half, after all I read it. but this is the end of the line in this series for me. I'm sorry if we are supposed to fall in love with the Griffin brothers, but they are just too OTT crazy train riders for me. their actions so far leave A LOT to be desired. to me the only character in this series who seems to have any modicum of decency is Alex the Griffin brother's niece. so I'm done. sorry
Chloe and Ryan continue the story of the Griffin brothers. Chloe and Ryan dated when they were teenagers and then were forced apart. Ryan does not know the secret of why Chloe had to break up with him so he goes on to become a man whore. Chloe returns to him after 3 years and tries her best to make him realize that he is in love with her. Chloe and Ryan faces some obstacles and then the truth finally comes out about what happened. It was pretty well told and an easy read. It was nice to see the rest of the cast and the continuation of their stories.
Well, this just goes to show that so many misunderstandings can be cleared up immediately by talking about it. So many times things are not what they seem. These are well written characters with their pain so fully exposed to the reader. Amazing what Chloe felt she had to do to protect the man she loved, his family and her dad. Ryan just didn't know any of her secrets. This was a beautifully crafted love story with lots of ups and downs, but love won out in the end!
I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.
I LOVE the Griffin family. When the going gets tough in this family, the tough do what is needed in order to fix things. Ryan definitely doesn't think before he reacts to things however, Chloe doesn't make it easy for him because of the secrets she has to keep.
Ryan and Chloe's story is amazing. Oh, and really hot.
I received this through Good Reads - First Reads. It was an enjoyable read. I was excited to read and learn more about the Griffin family.
I did not initially take to Chloe and Ryan. It took me a while to warm up to the idea of them. Once, I did, it made the read more enjoyable. Like Gaming for Love there was some steamy scenes to look forward to.
This was by far my favorite of the Griffin Brothers series. I found Ryan to be thoughtful and compassionate, although I abhorred the way he behaved towards Chloe in the beginning. Chloe is strong and determined to have Ryan.
I absolutely loved their story; and they make an awesome team working together.
O herói trata a heroína muito mal... parece um herói dos livros da Diana Palmer. Mas a história foi boa e vou continuar acompanhando a série. Gostei desta autora! ---------- The hero has a horrible behavior and mistreats our heroine ... it seems those ogres heroes of the books by author Diana Palmer. But the story was good and I'll keep reading the series. I like this author!
I've had this book for months and guilt gnaws at my mind. Why? Because I don't know why I put this off for so long! It was so cute and steamy! Love, love, loved this! Another great addition in the series! I cannot wait for the next installment!
This is a page-turner! Being the second book in the series (although the books can stand alone), I was already in love with the Griffin family, so learning more about Ryan was interesting. If you're looking for a quick, spicy read- this book and the whole series are for you! Definitely recommend!!
This was not the Ryan Griffin I was expecting. He was a complete jackass and I wanted to slap him so many times! I Understand where his feelings were and I get that he had every right to be upset but he was just plain mean. I would never have been able to give him another chance. I think Chole was brave for all she did. The writing was ok. There were a couple points where the time line didn't match up and I was not happy with the way the author would answer all the questions in dialog the way she did. I also didn't like how we read a scene and then had to read it two more times as each character described the scene. I would have liked more summary. She spent to much time on little scenes but not the bigger scenes.

Well, I won't be reading any more books from this series. They are okay, but not really worth the time or money. Way to frustrating and not enough meat for my liking. The plot takes far too long too develop, the climax...which is extremely predictable...also takes too long. Everything is too rainbows and unicorns for me. I will say that I can appreciate the hard work that went in to writing it. It is well written, and I can totally see this being a big hit for a lot of people. Just because it isn't my particular taste doesn't mean that it was a bad book.
As much as I want to say I loved it I can only say I kinda liked it. There was no build up to their romance, no back story. It really needed to have something to show just how in love they were before and how devastated they both were when they split. It may have made his treatment of her more believable. I also found it VERY hard to believe that after keeping the secret for 3 years that she would just spit it out to a group of women she only just met. Unfortunately the whole story just seemed to lack any real oomph.
