Another fantastic read in this ongoing series. OMG! This story had us laughing our butts off from the very first chapter. Fox and his meddlesome ways have gotten Edu into a predicament with a stunning woman and he can't seem to walk away so easily this time.

We laughed so hard throughout this story as Harper was a character full of piss and vinegar and had a wicked sense of humor, all about the word vomit at times and we envied her for the beautiful relationship she had with her brother.

Edu is a very frustrating character you love him for the fact that he considers his coworkers his family and brothers and always has their backs but, on a personal level the guy may be sexy as sin but, he has douche canoe written all over him. Although he has always been upfront with women it is all about the sex and no attachments he still comes off as a douche and we had a few other choice words we could use to describe the man.

This was one sexy hot read Harper and Edu had off-the-charts chemistry! This was a scorching hot read! Both characters have in common that they carry emotional baggage that neither has moved on yet.

We loved seeing Edu all out of sorts and flustered it was hilarious most of the time he is a character that you want to smack upside the head and say wake the heck up or get your sh-- together before it is too late and Love him at the same time because deep down he is a caring gentleman with a heart even though his actions and word vomit make him look like he has a heart made of stone.

From the moment we started turning the pages, we were crying as our hearts broke for what Cash was going through Libby too and we hoped this was not the last time we see her.

The men and their witty banter are hilarious. We are always looking to see what Fox is up to in each story and he doesn't disappoint us in this latest adventure. Duke surprised us in this one and had us laughing so hard.

On the Double is book 23 in the Owens Protective Series, and I still love the hijinx and shwarma that permeate every book like an open bag of Funyums. Edu (a hater of all things from the 80s) has met his match in Harper—a seemingly flighty, daydreaming cashier at the IGA. But don't let appearances deceive you. She's got depth and a desire to be more--she doesn't know what. Due to his past, Edu has an aversion to any commitment or entanglement. Well, doesn't this make for an interesting combination? We can add ongoing aftershocks in the wake of books 21 and 22.

This was one of the most spicy books in the series. Seriously, it was pretty steamy, but it fits in with the narrative of these two characters. Building on their personalities was where the seeds of growth started and led to the HEA. But it was the relationship that went beyond the physical that genuinely broke through Edu's walls that he had built up. As with the majority of Giulia's uber alphas, the adage of "the bigger they are, the harder they fall" holds.

Keep writing them, Ms. Lagomarsino, and I will keep laughing and loving every one of them. However, I don't know how you can ever top Fox.

Thank you, Enticing Journey and Giulia Lagomarsino, for the eArc. These opinions are mine.

"On The Double" is a captivating continuation of Harper and Edu's journey that pleasantly surprised me. Unlike traditional narratives where an antagonist drives the plot, this story centers around the characters’ internal struggles. While the Syndicate looms in the background, it’s not the primary focus, allowing for a deeper exploration of personal challenges.

One of the standout elements is Edu's character development. Guilia provides a backstory that makes him more relatable and I got to understand Edu's character more.

Initially, I found Harper a weird especially her random daydreaming, until I realised that I also do the same thing..lol. However, as the story progressed, I grew to appreciate her depth and the way she confronts her issues head-on.

The dynamic between Harper and Edu is engaging; she challenges him while also striving to understand his perspective. Their interactions are both heartfelt and humorous, striking a balance that kept me invested

Overall, "On The Double" is a rollercoaster of emotions—it made me laugh, cry, and even crave Shawarma (thank you Fox).

I'm a HUGE fan girl of this brilliant author so if you've ever read any of my reviews of any of her books, you already know how much I love her. First of all, I'm so heartbroken for Cash, and I hope things turn around soon. Now, On the Double is Edu's turn at bat, and man, he's seriously out of control about not wanting a relationship that's for sure. Little did he know going to the grocery store would change his life so much. Harper is the perfect girl for an OPS guy because let me tell you, she's every bit as hilarious as the rest of them, and she definitely got the right partner in crime in Fox LOL! She's a daydreamer that had me laughing so much, but she's a great girl that is very much drawn to Edu, and honestly, he's drawn to her no matter how much he tries not to be. They are super sexy together once those sparks ignited, but his push & pull started to really become heartbreaking as he was falling for her every bit as much as she was for him. Will he ever get his head out of his behind? This story had all the fun, heat, emotion, and heart as the rest of the series so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Edu is in for the ride of his life in this book. When him and Fox head to the grocery store, they meet Harper. Harper is a daydreamer, a cashier and lives with her brother Oliver.
Every time Edu comes into the store he always has Fox with him and let me tell you the stuff that Fox gets Edu into is so funny.
Edu tries his hardest to stay away from Harper, but it seems like everytime that Edu and Fox comes into the store, they end up in Harper's lane.
Harper's Grandmother comes into store with Edu and Fox in Harper's lane and when grandma starts in on Harper, Fox steps in and that is where all of the fun in the story starts.
There will be times that you will REALLY hate Edu (I know i did) and his whole attitude.
There is so much about this book, that if I type anymore I will give it away.
Cash is in this book and he will break your heart when you read about him.

You will really want to purchase this book and i think you will love it

You would think by book 23 in a series that things would begin to taper off. But that is so not the case with Ms. Lagomsrsino’s Owen’s Protective Service Series. From book 1 the series has given us laughs, romance and thrilling action. On the Double is no exception and the gang is all here for Edu’s story.

Edu is a confirmed bachelor. His past has guided him to believe relationships are something he doesn’t want nor need. Especially with a dingy, spaced out dreamer like Harper, a cashier at the local grocery store. But when Fox somehow ropes him into a fake engagement with Harper so that she can save face with her grandmother, his life gets turned completely upside down and not in a good way. Their banter is hilarious, their timing is awful and their lives couldn’t be any further from one another. But it sure makes for one outstanding storyline,

This is my least favorite of all of Giulia Lagomarsino’s books so far. I’m not saying it’s terrible; it features some of my favorite people. It’s just not on par with her other stories. I couldn’t warm up to the characters the way I’ve done previously. I did not like Edu. He is a first class jerk although he did redeem himself somewhat towards the end of the story. But it was not enough. He is just not likeable. I hate how he views women as objects. Yes, he finally warms up to Harper, but it doesn't change his basic personality. Harper, on the other hand, has no depth or character; she wanders around in her head, in an imaginary world. The one steady component to the books in this series is the camaraderie that holds the OPS team together. The way they care for each other, protect and shield each other, is always inspirational.

This is the 23rd book in this phenomenal series, and this is Edu and Harper’s story.
Edu is a player and has no intention of having a relationship, while Harper is a day dreamer, who from the moment she sees Edu, he stars on all off her day dreams. Bring Fox and his hilarious antics into the mix, and Edu has no chance off avoiding Harper. Plus all off the guys scheming to get Cash out of his office, with disastrous results, and this is another must read.
This is a well written action packed, emotional roller coaster, with loss, grief, drama, secrets, loyalty, humor, witty banter, fake fiancé, redemption, hilarious antics, engaging and realistic characters, and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, and fun addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Once again Giulia gives us a great read. This book centers around Edu who has remained signal for years and based on his past decides that is the way it will be.

That's until he meets Harper. Fox and Edu head to the local grocery store where Harper is one of the cashiers. Unfortunately, Harper has a bad habit of daydreaming and once she sets her eyes on Edu, she imagines a whole lot of passion, etc. with him.

Edu thinks she is a little crazy and tries to ignore her. Their paths keep crossing and soon he ends up as a "fake" fiancé to Harper.

This book has lots of secrets and a backstory that you don't see coming. It will make you laugh, cry and want a HEA for them.

Edu may be close to the other members of the team but when it comes to women, he keeps his relationships casual. When he meets Harper, he believes the same will apply however even as he tries to distance himself, she is different from any other woman he has ever met.

She may have met Edu by chance but when she meets him, she is all in. Her personality is quirky which only makes her more fun as she is about to turn Edu’s life upside down.

The banter between her and Edu and within the team is humorous, the chemistry between them was never in doubt which combined with the emotional content of the story make this a story you won’t be able to put down.

This is the twenty third book in the Owens Protective Services series, and this is probably the spiciest of the series. Sometimes the most innocuous encounter can lead to some monumental life shifts as is the case with Edu when he meets a somewhat quirky cashier named Harper. Add in the presence of Fox and you have pure magic. (If you do not know Fox, then read Alpha Mike Foxtrot.) The world building in this storyline is truly fantastic and will have one enchanted from beginning to end. If you are looking for a steamy read full of laughter to the point of tears, then this is one you need. I cannot wait for more. (This is one of those books that must be read!)

This is not a standalone. The team is realing from the last mission and trying to find their footing.
This is Harper and EDU's road to HEA or is it? Harper is a fun, day dreaming girl who works at IGA and hasn't quite figured out what she wants to do. EDU is a man not looking for forever just right now. But they meet over avacodos ( enter Fox) and now they are on a ride. They are bumps on the way as EDU and Harper learn things about each other and themselves with a little help from the OPS team. Get ready to enjoy another great book by Giula!

After the heartbreak of the previous book I couldn’t wait to dive in to this one.

This was more of a lighter read with plenty of humour. This story focused more on Edu and Harper and the relationship they had. Harper was a bit OTT but she kind of grew on me!

Cash was in the book and your heart felt for him and what he is going through. The story will continue and I hope he gets the redemption he badly needs.

Ike is growing more intriguing, I’m enjoying him he is very entertaining!

Overall a good book and one I enjoyed and I look forward to the next book in the series.

This one conflicted me, but at the same time held the levity needed while still being broken by the previous book (and I never take this long to bounce back from a book).
For me personally I found both characters irked me at different times, but I think I would feel that way no matter who the characters were because of still being in my feelings.
It was still a good read, made better by group situations and when the couple got their act together (both together and apart).
I look forward to seeing what the author comes up with next.

You really need to read this series in order to get full impact as there is a series arc goes through all.
This is Edu's book and quite different from the others.
It's extra spicy, a bit humorous and comes right after the most serious and devastating book in the series. So it had a hard road to follow.
I'll admit to Edu not being my favorite OPS man but hey we can't love them all and he was well redeemed in the end. There's lots of heat.
So if extra spicy is your thing this one is for you. I'm geared up for the next trio though!

What do you get when you pair a daydreamer with a straight and narrow man who has sworn off relationships? You get a whole lot of meddling drama and a man trying to overcome his past and fear of relationships with a woman who wants nothing more than to help him with her imaginative bravado..along with a "fake" relationship that they think is going to benefit the both of them. Little does Edu know, this push from family and coworkers might be just what he needs!

I was still broken by the last book going into this story. You do get to know snippets of what’s going on after the what happened at the end of the previous book. But this is mostly Edu’s story.

Edu is known as player of the OPS. His aversion to all things involving relationships is known by the guys in the OPS. Though I don’t think they understand why.

You get to see a whole new side to Edu when he meets Harper. Can she change his mind about relationships?

This story had lots of drama and laugh out loud moments. Can’t wait to read more of this series.

Harper is a grocery store cashier.
Edu works for OPS.

Harper and Edu meet at the grocery and their is an attraction and chemistry ( their are struggles to overcome).
It seems like fate keeps putting them together.
Edu struggles to avoid attachment due to past issues, but it seems life keeps everyone on their toes.
Can Edu and Harper solve things and have a Happily Ever After?

This book has suspense, some twists and turns.

Great Job. Giulia Lagomarsino !!!!

"What a fantastic rollercoaster ride!!! Harper and Edu's love story was of the charts! Sexy with tension and lots of passion. It was hilarious how hard Edu tried to resist the pull to commitment, yes, he wasn't a saint but at least somehow honest. Harper was perfecto for him so as he for her. Can we all please agree that everytime Fox came to scene we surely are gonna laugh hard?! Lol Fox is insane, love him too! Fantastic story, strongly recommended"

I swear the conversations these men have are freaking hilarious!! I don't know where Giulia comes up with them. Edu is adamant that he doesn't do relationships, girlfriends, marriage, or kids, but he hasn't met Harper yet. Yes, she's a daydreamer, but who wouldn't over a gorgeous man. Loved it!!!!

Wow what a book. Giulia Lagomarsino did an amazing job. I couldn't put book down once I started.

I loved Edu and Harper together, they may not suit each other. But they make it work. Harper is a daydreamer but also just wants to find love. Edu is hard-working, but also likes to have fun. They get thrown together when Edu helps Harper and find love.

I can't wait for more.

Keep writing these stories, Ms. Lagomarsino, and I will keep laughing and loving every last one of them.
This is Edu and Harper's story and is a little lighter than the last 2 stories, however the repercussions of these is still reverberating through the gang.
Spicy, intense and a great story .. keep them coming.
