I loved this book so much I loved Conner and Russell. I also loved that we got to see the characters in the other books for example Harrison,Violet,Damon, Emma, We also see how the Chase brothers fix their relationship to be with Sam.
Samantha is dating a guy called Connor, but she also has a stalker who happens to be her boyfriend's brother.
It's a slow burn, stalker/obsessed, mmf love triangle. Can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading the series as we see characters from the previous book.
This is an ARC review and this is my honest review. I have to say VR Tennent has done it again. Chase is an excellent book it just has it all suspense, heat, love story, action, great characters, a good story line. Read your triggers before reading, it is a MFM romance.VR Tennent will have you on the edge of your seat wanting more. I love all these books in this series. I can’t wait to read more from this amazing author.
Chase follows the storyline for Samantha, Russell and Connor. Connor and Russell are brothers that have competed for a girls affection before, but this time it is different. They meet when Samatha helps their sister. Russell becomes obsessed with her and follows her to keep her safe. Connor starts dating her and falling for her too. Samatha is just trying to figure out how to get the life she wants, she is dancing to make money to become a nurse. Russell wants to help so he gets his doctor find to call her with a job offer. This story is just so good what will happen and who will Samatha choose, will she choose or will something else happen to help her get everything she wants.
How wonderful it was to be able to go back to the world of Harrison, Davis, Hunter, Connor and Russell. I’ve missed them! It was so much fun to continue reading about their lives.
Connor and Russell's story was so unexpected and so eventful. I devoured the book from cover to cover. The brothers are determined to win Sam over; how it eventually turns out is really wonderful. But this story is not just about love. Samantha gets her own heroic story, which makes the book even better!
This book has everything you need to make a book great: good characters, a strong story, a good plot, family, suspense, action, spice and love.
VR Tennent has succeeded in fleshing out the characters even more and making different storylines seamlessly match the timeline. I can't wait to read what she has come up with for Grayson and Hunter. I love all of her books, no doubt she will not disappoint!
Wow, what a ride!!! We have met the Chase brothers and Samantha in previous books. We saw the tension in Harrison and wow we watched that explode. Victoria takes you on a ride of emotions, we have our possessive stalker who knows he can't touch him brothers girlfriend, the girlfriend who enjoys his watchful eyes as well as a golden retriever type of guy who is dominant when needed. This isn't a dark romance, it's an angsty finding love story. It's about knowing you don't have to conform to relationships that are typical. Our lead female is determined, she knows her mind and body. She won't let anyone take advantage and most certainly rules over her men.
Victoria, you are truly awesome and I'm so glad I get to call you a friend.
What in the what! Russell, Connor and Samantha, we know these 3 from the previous books and know how volatile they are combined. Chase took me on a different tangent and direction altogether than what I expected. And it was a thing of beauty. Our hot headed man Russell , Conner the always in control chase brother and Samantha who is picking herself up from having bad luck , who is introduced by the Chase brother's sister Violet. And what this story weaves will leave you gasping for what crazy and sinful moments this book brings. I was immersed into this story from page 1 . We see so many facets of each of the brothers and the triangle that they have enmeshed with Samantha is pure joy to read. Don't wait to read this book. You won't be disappointed. Victoria you rock!!
Wow.... these boys and Samantha! Russell never really came across in the previous 2 books in this series, hard, brash and a bit of a dick. But to see a different side had me melting. Randomly though a few laugh out loud moments with his dryness. Samantha was all kinds of brave and ballsy. I've enjoyed her character since book 1. Conor is just the sweetest too. There's also some highly spicy moments too. VR done well with their chemistry and banter. Did they learn to play nicely in the end though?
Chase: another hottie in The Level Series. There is nothing this book doesn’t have. Love,Hate,Family,Friends,Mystery,Surprises and quite a few WTF moments. Chase and Samantha gave a steamy story. I always enjoy all the other books being continued and talked about as the series continues. If you loved Harrison and Violet, Damon and Emma strap in for the ride of Chase and Samantha. Just when you think VR Tennent can’t top the last story…SURPRISE and can and does.
Holy smokes another amazing Level Series story! The FMC is a total baddie who fights hard and lives even harder. The MMC’s are two deliciously dark brothers who stop at nothing to win the FMC’s heart. But first they have to learn to share. When these characters come together it is off the charts HOT! This book will have you in a chokehold… the twists and turns you don’t see coming. You won’t be able to put this book down!
After seeing Samantha, Conner and Russell in the previous books it’s as TIME!!! their story was great and held a different rollercoaster of emotions that V.R. Tennent always brings!
Not going to lie, I always rooted for Conner the hardest but I love how this relationship had to evolve not only their relationship but how Samantha fighting for what she wanted while knowing what she wants even if it’s not a conventional relationship.
Absolutely loved and cannot wait to see the stories coming up next!
Chaseis book 3 in TheLevelseries by V.R. Tennent. In this interconnected Standalone that is a Slow Burn, MFM, Love Triangle Romance, we follow the story of Chase brothers Russell Chase and Connor Chase and the FMCSamantha Cole best friend to Chase brothers younger sister Violet Chase through their multiple POVs.
Whose a girl to choose when two guys are calling to her? On the one hand there’s Connor, sweet, caring, honest yet dominant and deadly in his own way. But on the other there’s Russell, an unhinged, morally gray alpha with stalker vibes, yet more to than meets the eye.
Regardless of Samantha’s choice, the results of this narrative led to quite the whirlwind of a rollercoaster ride. Reeling me in from the get go, but then again it wasn’t surprising given how much of a well packed narrative author V.R. Tennent delivered. Having me devouring each and every page turn, only to fall deeper into the storyline as the main plot with the accompaniment of subplots continued to thicken, develop and grow.
Whilst the main plot has us following Russell, Samantha and Connor’s storyline given the love triangle aspect, which not only allowed us to see the building of the relationships. But also how it played into their relationships that Samantha shared with Russell and Connor, given the ups, downs and highs and lows all three found themselves navigating through. Only to result in some explosions from the major drama to be had, seeing as no brother wanted to share the girl. Leading to some slight hesitation on Samantha’s part throughout with not wanting to be the reason of causing a tiff between both brothers.
As well as getting to them know individually through their POV chapters, since there was much to tell and learn, particularly when it came to Samantha and her past that definitely didn't stay that way. Eventually coming out of the shadows and confronting her unexpectedly. Simultaneously there were subplots at play, bringing more drama, whilst building on the mysteries to be had from the strangeness going on, of which included happening at Samantha’s workplace. Ultimately leading to action packed thrills. Through the subplots, it had author V.R. Tennent linking back to the inclusion of secondary characters in the form of Russell and Connor’s friends, family and co-workers, most of who had been previously introduced throughout the inception of TheLevelseries, given the found family aspect with their relationship to some.
“Letting you go isn’t giving up on you. It’s giving you freedom. It’s protecting my heart and yours. It is protecting you from making a choice.”
It can’t be denied, at one point the story caught me off guard due to a certain scene which had me on the brink of tears. Causing me having to stop for a moment to try and hold in all the emotions it unleashed from within me in the moment shared between Russell and Samantha. It was truly sweet, loving, and heartfelt that how could you not? The emotions author V.R. Tennent expressed through Russell and Samantha made it an unforgettable scene, at least to me.
Even though it was a why choose, that didn’t stop me from having a clear favourite Chase brother from the very beginning. That favourite being was Russell of course. All throughout that choice did not waiver, let alone change in anyway shape or form, even despite his actions from his certain behaviour. Plus there was definitely more to him than meets the eye, which caused me to fall hard for him. And that’s not to say that it had me disliking Connor because that wasn’t the case at all. It was just that Russell Chase was it for me.
My only critique would be considering the perspective of who the blurb is written from and that it was MFM, it had me expecting more from Russell’s perspective. IMO there should've been more chapters in his POVs to allow further exploration of the relationship between him and Samantha, since there wasn't enough to showcase the growth and development between the two. Instead it felt more like the story was between Samantha and Connor equating to MF, with Russell being sprinkled in every now and again. Which just didn’t sit well with me in the end.
Hands downChaseis definitely my favourite book by V.R. Tennent from TheLevelseries. With a filling narrative and great characters, it’s ultimately what made Russell, Samantha and Connor’s story a great and enjoyable read. And with the glimpse into the next bookHunterauthor V.R. Tennent has me looking forward to Hunter Devane's story next.
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Chase, a dark, contemporary romance, is the third book in The Level series and features Samantha Coleman, Russell and Connor Chase. While it can be appreciated on its own, I would recommend starting from the beginning to fully appreciate these complex, morally grey characters. Harrison is book one, Damon is book two, and Hunter will be the fourth and final book in this delectable series.
The Chase brothers met the fierce, sassy, independent Samantha through their sister Violet. Both were immediately captivated by her. While Connor asked her out, Russell kept his infatuation to himself. Russell wants her for himself, but he doesn't want to break his brother's heart. He therefore keeps an eye on her from the shadows, only he wasn't as well hidden as he might have thought.
Samantha knows Russell is following her. At first it was an annoyance, but as he continues his pursuit, she grows to enjoy it and even feels comforted by his presence. She recognizes that she should probably tell Connor, even though they aren't exclusive, and yet she keeps Russell's secret. He watches out for her, and tries to help her out while keeping his distance.
"What started as infatuation has become a senseless obsession, a need to know where she is and what she's doing. And even though I've hidden in the darkness these past months, I know it will soon be time to step into the light. I need her to know I'm here. She needs to know that although she told me no, I continue to ensure she's safe."
With time, Russell no longer wants to remain in the shadows. He feels an undeniable pull to Samantha and eventually steps into the light. Samantha is definitely curious as she too feels the attraction however she's with Connor and doesn't want to adversely affect what they have.
In addition to sorting out an unexpected love triangle, this book also includes the aftermath of an abusive relationship as well as an exciting case surrounding organ harvesting. The pages are packed with action, mystery and intrigue, not to mention a whole lot of spice! Suffice it to say, Samantha is one lucky lady.
"How two men can be so alike but dissimilar takes my breath away. They offer comparable but completely different things. Connor is strong and stable; he treats me with kindness and respect while ravishing my body in the bedroom. Russell has an intense persona that makes my hair stand on end within a few feet of him. He's so in control but unhinged; life with him would never be boring. Both men leave me no doubt of being wanted, but they show it in very different ways."
I definitely enjoyed this one. It is an interesting situation when love abounds but folks don't want to share. Regardless of the right or wrong behaviour (definitely morally grey!) that brought this trio to their current predicament, it seems someone is going to get hurt. I appreciated what a strong character Samantha has, allowing her to go toe to toe with these imposing men. She is assertive and self-assured and easily stands her ground. I always appreciate strong female characters. I also love how these two strong, powerful men, who we've come to know over the previous books in the series, are so entranced by her that they are all too willing to bend.
All that remains now is Hunter's story, and I'm quite eager to get my hands on his book. I love his character and I'm sure his story is going to be very entertaining. One of my favourite sections of this book includes Hunter...
"I believe we're all two decisions away from jail," Hunter tells the room. "Decision one is choosing to do wrong. Decision two is doing it." "So tell me why you aren't in the slammer then?" Damon asks, and Hunter smirks. "Because I'm really good at decision three." "What's that?" Connor asks. "Covering what I did wrong up."
If you have not yet checked out this series, I would encourage you to do so. I'd love to know your thoughts.
OMG!!! What have I just finished?? I have been waiting for this book since I finished Harrison when I found out this would be an MFM book, and I've been so excited to read it since. Well, @vrtennentauthor, it didn't disappoint!!!
From book 1... I've had this massive issue with Russell being a grump, a miserable man, a man with serious issues, and the lack of the capability to even smile!!
Then I got Chase.... fron Chapter 1, my opinion of Russell had changed, and I will admit, it was still early days and was ready for my original opinion to come back, but nope.... that man, although he is slightly unhinged lol, is amazing.
It's clear, as the oldest Chase sibling, he took beating after beating fron the horrible father that is Edward Chase to protect Connor and Violet. His relationship with Connor is tight, and until recently, his relationship with Violet has been strained. Having reaturned back to London after leaving her 'boyfriend'. Samantha comes along and instantly catches the attention of the brothers.
Connor makes it clear he liked her from the start. But Russell has a thing for wanting women he can't have... Knowing Samantha is 'seeing' Connor, he starts stalking her, but Samantha realises and likes the attention. Is she playing the brothers off against each other?
What happens when Connor finds out what Russell has been doing?
There are so many avenues this story takes, and there soo many WTF moments, I was left on the edge of my seat!! I was laughing, raging with anger, all up in my feels.... I told @vrtennentauthor there would be no way I was finishing it before i went to bed, but I got so engrossed in it that one more chapter resulted in my finishing the book.
I'm not even going to apologise for blowing up your dm either as you knew to expect this from me.... I even have the message to prove it, haha.
Thank you again for allowing me to be a member of your arc team, I'm genuinely grateful to be here, gutted to have finished Chase, but I'm so ready for the next book.
If you haven't read this series, I highly recommend you do.
Chase by @vrtennentauthor is a scorchin’ hot novel filled with tension and plenty of sexy moments! 😍🔥
Blurb: Obnoxious. Unwanted. Unhinged.
And obsessed with my brother’s girlfriend.
Love was something I never trusted myself to have... until I met her, trouble waiting to happen.
Samantha Coleman rocketed into my life and knocked me sideways. I watched her from the shadows as my obsession grew.
I used my influence to aid her career. I wanted her to have the life she desired, as long as I had control of it.
When danger reared its head, my instinct was to protect her. Step in and maim any villain who posed a threat.
She knew I was always there, and she loved my hidden attention. No longer able to only watch from the sidelines, I finally stepped out into the light.
I wanted her, and she knew it.
Only time will tell if my brother and I can learn to share.
🌟🌟🌟🌟
Chase is a great addition to the Level series, and also the first MFM romance I have read!!! Again, VR Tennent has crafted a intriguing story involving a woman who is torn between two gorgeous brothers. Who will she choose or will she choose both? I loved the sexual tension between both brothers and Samantha, and their constant competition to see who gets her. The compelling plot line kept me on the edge of my seat at all times while reading. Let me tell you, the steamy scenes made me feel hot and bothered!!! I cannot wait to read the planned final book and novella in The Level series. All in all, please read Chase…especially if you love the “why choose” trope!!! You will not regret it. 🤩❤️💥✨
Thank you to VR Tennent for the opportunity to read/review this ARC! 🤩📚
All in all, a book that felt lacking when compared to the previous ones. Out of the three books published in these series, the weakest if not the worst. Promoted from Russell's POV, he talks about sharing... What sharing?
Book three of this interconnected standalone series - and while it wasn’t my favorite of the three, it was still very good!
The chase brothers - Russell and Connor are apparently infatuated with the same woman. However, unaware of this fact, Samantha and Connor begin seeing each other. Russell does the next best thing - begins following her 😂
Russell is a total grump and is one of those characters you think can or won’t ever be happy. Yes, he may come off as obsessed as in the he wants what he can’t have, but that isn’t going to stop him from making sure Samantha is okay, and safe. Whether it be for his own sake or that of his brothers.
Samantha is put into the situation of expecting to choose between the brothers when it comes to light of what has been going on with Russell and Samantha and that she may have enjoyed the stalkerish attention a bit too much. During, we see the other side of Russell and how he is when he is happy. Regardless of the situation.
The brothers already have a love/hate kind of relationship. They’re best friends but definitely know how to get to the other. Add in a little bit of suspense in their world and you have a love triangle while trying to solve a dangerous mystery.
I loved the brothers and loved Samantha as a character. She is a strong FMC and doesn’t bow down to anyone. She loves both and doesn’t want to come between them, as she knows they’re the most important person to each other. In the end, someone is going to have their heart broken.. right? Or will they?
Okay okay OKAY. I friggen loved this, Chase was everything I didn't expect and loved it more. The Chase brothers, Connor and Russell, we have met in the previous books, as this is a continuation of The Level series. Samantha we met thru their little sister Violet, and with the first time the brothers encountered the force that is Sam, it was always a case of which brother would "tame her". Connor, being the seemingly nicer of the two, took his opportunity, but Samantha was also under the gaze of Russell, the seemingly dark unhinged older brother, and he wanted a taste as well. Having seen both of the brothers personalities, I loved how this uncovered more of the both of them, and more the horrific past at the hands of their violent father.
Samantha herself, as had unspeakable violence in her life, so is such a strong FMC, that her attraction to the brothers, and they to her, is palpable throughout this book. I do not want to share too much, or give any potential spoilers away, but if you have read the previous two books and think you know what is going to happen......brace yourself for your mind to be blown. I love VR's writing and this was everything. If I could give more stars I would, would I recommend it, you better believe I would, and do I have a favourite bother, no, Connor and Russell are as similar as they are different, and it is those differences which make this book delicious.
Chase is the third book in The Level series, a dark mafia romance. It is about Samantha Coleman, Russell and Connor Chase’s over top scorching hot romance. It can be read on its own, if you start from the beginning you’ll have a much better understanding of all of the characters histories and often twisted behavior. Tennant’s The Level world is hands down pretty dark, but it’s also full of men who have their own sense of twisted honor.
Connor and Samantha start seeing each other, while Russell is secretly stalking her. Sam knows he’s watching her, it secretly thrills her and she doesn’t tell Connor. In the previous books Russell just comes off as a total alpha hole, where Connor comes off as a perfect gentleman. In Chase we get to see the other side of both brothers, and learn the history of not only their relationship but the forces that shaped them. It really changes how I thought about both of them. (sorry folks no spoilers from me)
What I will tell you is that Connor might be a cinnamon roll in streets, but he is all dom in the sheets. Russell is absolutely OTT touch her and die, he’ll do anything for Sam, actually, they’ll both do anything for Sam. Eventually though all ugly secrets and family betrayals must come out in the light before there can be any kind of a resolution. The ending is crazy suspenseful, and scorching hot. I can’t to see what Tennant brings in Hunter!
Chase is the latest (book 3) in ‘The Level’ series and oh boy what a story! It is full of twists and turns and surprises and it’s SPICEY!
I love a strong woman as the FMC and Samanatha was certainly that. She had most of the control all the way through. It was intriguing to read the way her relationships develop with Connor & Russell, who are both so competitive with each other anyway and now they are both obsessed with the same woman! The unhinged moments, the stalker moments, the sweetness, how on earth can all that come together and how will she choose just one?
The interwoven storyline of organs for sale was a strong thread and at times I wondered how that would play out, but it did tie in nicely and brought the other characters, Emma and Damon, Harrison and Violet, Hunter and even Aiden, from previous books in the series together again in a believable plot which added depth.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, it kept me gripped and eager to read what happened next, and I would definitely recommend you go get your copy.
….and if you haven’t already what are you waiting for? Get started on the series!! This series has strong, morally grey and complex the characters, Harrison is book 1, Damon book 2 and Chase is book 3.
Russel has a new obsession... his brothers girlfriend! Since the moment she barged into his life, he has been infatuated! Watching from the shadows as his obsession grew. He wants Samantha, and she knows it, and so does Connor! Can they learn to share? Or will someone get hurt?
I love this series, and this book was no different. The storyline is fabulous, two brothers wanting the same girl and giving her the chance to try out both before making a choice, there is also the plot of the vigilante group, both brothers are apart of, and the crimes they try to figure out throughout the romance. The plot twists are incredible, I was changing my mind all the way through at how I thought it was going to play out.
The characters are perfect. Throughout the last 2 books, I never really took to Russel, but I really liked him by the end of this one. I have always loved Samantha since we met her in violet and Harrison's story. And Connor as tough as he is, he has always been the little golden retriever out of the bunch, and I couldn't help but feel sorry for him and fall in love with him.
Overall, I loved this book. The series is a little dark with the violence within the pages, but I love the mafia billionaire trope. I highly recommend this book.
ARC Review: The Chase brothers… need I say more!? I have had the incredible privilege of ARC reading all the books in The Level Series so far and it has been an incredible ride. I absolutely loved Sam from previous books and was so excited when I found her as the FMC in Chase and I just adore her. Russell and Connor were also a pleasant surprise as the MMCs. They were always so mysterious in previous books and I loved learning more about them. Who doesn’t love brothers fighting over the same woman? It is the ultimate love triangle. Samantha definitely has what it takes to put up with these morally grey men. Russell and Connor are complete opposites, despite being brothers. I can easily see why Sam is stuck in the middle and totally obsessed with both men. I also loved how the story line fit in perfectly and gave us lots of twists, turns, and the completely unexpected. The plots in VR Tennent books never disappoint. I was shocked to see how the plot unfolded and how it tied into the previous books and characters. You don’t HAVE to read the previous books before reading this one, but I HIGHLY recommend it so that you have the full understanding of all the other characters and stories that tie in together. I cannot wait to read the next book!
ARC Review of Chase by V.R. Tenant * * * * * When love shows its complexity. One strong sexy one, two powerful brothers, tones of sexual tension and other drama just spicing it all up!
Sam loves Connor. Connor loves Sam. Russell is obsessed with Sam. Sam loves Russell's attention. Russell and Connor are brothers...and are ones for competition. Samantha does not know how to handle the situation, refusing to be the woman who came between two brothers. She wants her happily ever after with Connor, but can't deny that she is attracted to his a-hole brother with looming eyes that watches from the shadows. When things go over the edge, she is left with a choice to make. Not to forget, she's got her own drama at her new workplace. Something strange is going on. She never thought she would be the one to begin to uncover it, but she will be damned to ignore it.
Drama! Dark underworld happenings in th hospital. Russell and Connor at each other's throats, as well as a monster from their past coming back. One sleazy doctor who needs a tight slap. Great read. Love the dom play. Sam is a strong woman with a bright future. Connor is super understanding and open to Sam exploring herself instead of exploding. Russell, my dude, you need therapy.
Chase by VR Tennent is book three in the level series. I was a fan of the first two books so I was super eager to get my hands on this one. I flew through this book I couldn’t get enough as I was hooked from the get go. This series for me really does angst so well… this book really took my emotions for a ride especially with the twists and turns. I really enjoyed getting to see a different side of Russell in this book. Samantha was great, I loved how she was brave and pretty much knew what she wanted. Then there was a Conor who I just thought was so sweet. But my favorite thing hands down was the chemistry and tension between the characters. But oh my the banter was just top tier! Don’t even get me started on the spicy scenes… so well done. I thought the writing was great with the ability to continue to pull me into this world. Each book just brings something to the table and hooks me each and every time. The descriptions make it easy to imagine everything that you are reading. I’m already looking forward to book four! Overall I had a great time reading and I would highly recommend checking out this series.
Russel and Connor meet Samantha when she goes to warn them about their sister Violet’s situation. Russel becomes obsessed with Her. But to complicate things further. Samantha is actually dating Connor. So, Russ waits and watches in the shadows. When Connor learns, Samantha is actually attracted to Russ. He comes up with a plan that she dates both of them and then decide which brother she wants to be with. But Samantha is falling in love with both of them. Will she be able to choose? This was such a great book! It’s my new favorite from this series! I love the different chemistry she has with both of the brothers and sees both of them for who they are. She sees Russ where as his own family doesn’t truly see him. Connor doesn’t want to share. Russ is definitely open to sharing her with his brother. Even though he does occasionally get jealous. When they are all put in a situation where she almost loses one of them. She realizes she loves both of them! And isn’t sure how she will be able to let one of them go! If you like suspenseful romance or love triangles. You will love this book!
This is V.R Tennent’s hottest, dirtiest book to date. This book has darker elements to it and I am here for it, I absolutely loved it. The author has again weaved her magic & given us a story jam packed with a web of secrets, lies and deceit that captivated me from the very first page.
We also get to reunite with other characters from the 2 previous books, which I also loved !!
Connor & Russel have always been close as brothers ~ Best friends as well as mortal enemies, both have fought over women before but Samantha is different. As soon as both brothers meet her, they know they’d lay down their lives for her !!
This is, without a doubt, a dark romance, but beneath the dirty talk and hot scenes there's a vulnerability that draws you in.
The chemistry, angst & spice was perfection~ I devoured it. A definite page turner and made me feel so many things. There was suspense, banter, love & a twist I never saw coming. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ladies If you're looking for a woman that can hold all the cards in a why choose romance here it is
This book was not as intense as the other two in the series it is the third book but I can say that Russell's stalker Vibe and immaturity was amazing Connor and the way that he loved and showed Samantha that he loved her was perfect but I did not like how he acted with Samantha's lies that were found out I also feel that if both Connor and Russell could put their pride aside this could have been so much better it's a really good book overall really good they're great banter between Samantha and Russell there is a strong connection for Connor and Samantha I feel like the emotional connection was lacking in this book like it was stronger in Harrison and Damon's book but all in all I feel like the book is really good and it's worth reading because in this book you get more backstory and you get more inside of other characters also you get inside into the work they do so I feel like it'll help with Hunter's book that's coming out because you also get insight into his story as well so I'd say it's a really good read
Chase is the third book in The Level Series, which is a series of interconnected standalones. It is a contemporary, ménage, steamy, stalker, mafia romance.
I love a great why choose romance, and this one definitely hit the spot. Samantha, Russell and Connor are all terrific characters. I especially loved Samantha, she is so vivacious and I simply loved it.
The brothers couldn’t be more different. Connor is the sweet and romantic brother and Russel is the dark and stalkerish one, but the one thing they do have in common is that they both want Samantha.
These three had quite a bumpy road throughout the book. Can they make it all work out, crush those barriers, and get their HEA? I guess you’ll just have to read it to find out.
The writing, flow, and pace of the story are amazing, as are the characters, character development, relationship development, storyline, plot, storytelling, and world building.
I fell in love with this series from the very first book and continue to fall deeper with each new book. I’d highly recommend this book and series.
The series continues and this one is of Russell and Connor. It is more of a love triangle than why choose. I also blame myself for being a bit disappointed as Russell was my favourite from the start. Probably because from the other books, I felt for him. With the guy pining for the woman he loved, that was married to his best friend. So I felt like this should have been his moment, he seems content with the outcome of this story but I think he deserved more. The chemistry between Russell and Sam was perfect, I got all the feels. I feel bad that I couldn't connect with Connor in that sense. Most of the story it was more Sam and Connor and Russell didn't get enough intimate times with Sam. Yeah I told I have a favourite 🤷🏽♀️. There was a dangerous story plot in the background, which was really good and kept things interesting and suspenseful. I love how the whole band of brothers get together and always have each others back. This was full of drama, witty banter, stalking, obsession, action, emotions and Spice.
This book was fantastic! This author never disappoints. I was definitely not expecting the suspense and the twists in this book, it was a pleasant surprise and I didn’t know where it was going to go.
This is a MFM, slow burn, love triangle. I honestly am scared to read love triangle books but this was so well done. I found the angst rather low, the spice was so hot, and i absolutely loved all the characters.
I am OBSESSED with Russell, I love an unhinged man. He had me laughing and swooning. Sam is an amazing fmc, she’s so sweet and strong. Connor was amazing too. I appreciate how the author made the men pretty different personalities. But one thing for sure…they were obsessed with Sam.
Returning to the world of Harrison, Davis, Hunter, Connor, and Russell was a delight—I’ve truly missed them! It was a joy to dive back into their lives and see where their stories led.
Connor and Russell’s journey was both surprising and thrilling, and I couldn’t put the book down. Their quest to win over Sam is engaging, and the resolution is beautifully satisfying. However, the story is more than just a romance. Samantha’s own heroic journey adds depth and excitement, making the book even richer.
This novel has all the elements that make a story exceptional: well-developed characters, a compelling plot, family dynamics, suspense, action, romance, and intrigue. VR Tennent has done an excellent job of expanding on the characters and weaving their storylines together seamlessly. I’m eagerly anticipating what she has in store for Grayson and Hunter next. As always, I’m confident her future works will be just as captivating.
