“Mason moved back and whispered as his lips teased my skin, "You're going to ride me long and hard tonight." I grinned against his neck. It was what every girl wanted to hear.”
“As he yawned again and tried to cover it with his hand, I thought he looked adorable. His eyes were softer from the fatigue and his eyelids drooped a bit.”
“She's conquered and proved her loyalty runs deep." He flinched.
"Real deep if I'm guessing at how far Mason goes in her—"
“I looked over and held his gaze. The butterflies were long gone now. A storm had started to roll in.”
Mason moved again so she couldn't see me. I heard a smacking sound and my mom cried out, "Ouch!"
Logan snapped. "Stop choking like a little bitch. I thought you had bigger balls than that."
"You guys can't talk to me like this..."
Mason taunted her softly. "What he doesn't know, you're not going to tell. You're going to sleep off this drunk stupor."
All three of them spoke as one unit. They moved as one and they had their sights on my mother. I pressed even closer to Mason, not sure what to do, if I could at all. Did I even want to? It'd been so long since someone protected me...
"I'm not that drunk."
"You are." He said it so smooth, so soft, and so chilling. Now he left me. I fell forward a step, lost from his warmth.
A second later, my mom whimpered out in pain. Logan started laughing again, the sound was so delightful and dark, I couldn't hide anymore. He'd taken hold of the back of my mother's head and tilted her head back.
"No!" My mother screamed out.
"Come on," Logan chided her and then forcibly pulled her jaw down. Her mouth snapped open and Nate poured something down her throat. She convulsed forward, choking as liquid spewed from between her lips. Her back spasmed backwards then, but Logan didn't let her go. He clamped her mouth shut again and ran a thumb down her throat. I watched as my mom fought, but in the end she swallowed.
They did it again.
And again.

“In that moment, I realized that he always had that affect on me. The ice façade I reined over myself was plucked away whenever his attention was on me. He reached over and took it away like I was a baby with candy.”

Cheaters are weak. They’re selfish and they’re cowards. No, I’m not a cheater and I never intend to be.
He was sculpted as a statue. The added comfort he had with his body, which he didn’t give a damn if he were naked or wore clothes, took my breath away.

This review is purely for me and might contain spoilers and facts from the book to keep myself in the known at all time. It's also long and somewhat detailed.
I didn’t care. As I drove away, I sat back. I really didn’t care, about any of it. And I knew in the back of my mind, far far in the back of my mind, that this wasn’t the healthiest feeling. But then again, I didn’t care.
I hadn’t seen the Kade brothers up close, not in a long time, but I’d heard plenty about them. Logan was a junior, like me. Mason was a year older. Both were good looking and Mason was rumored to be six foot one with a muscular build. He played defensive lineman for a reason on his football team. Logan had the leaner build, but he was an inch shorter.
I snorted to myself. I couldn’t believe I even knew these details. As I cursed my friends inside for their gossiping ways, I glanced back at the Escalade and froze once more. Two green eyes stared back at me.
Mason had been filling up his vehicle and watching me the whole time.
“I don’t care. I can’t handle this. My game is talk. You tried to take that away.” He shot an arm towards Mason. “He fights. I talk. That’s the magic of our twosome fearsome. Sam’s one of us, man. She’s got the guts to do the dirty deeds if we don’t. She watches out for us too. Ya’ll are stupid if you didn’t see this coming.” He thrust his arms out wide. “The three of us are a magical team. No way are you screwing this up.”
