Like all true romantics, Tiffany had always been fascinated by the great love stories of the past. The only child of two historians, she had always felt a pull towards British History and the epics that it spawned. But, instead of following in her parent’s footsteps, Tiffany chose to express her love of history in her own way: by writing about her favorite era. After obtaining a degree in English Literature, Tiffany decided to write her first book and never looked back. When she isn’t writing, she enjoys spending time with her own Prince Charming, and their two beautiful children, enjoying Massachusetts’ natural wonders. Hop on for a unique journey in Regency England, filled with intensity and heartwarming romance. Let Tiffany’s words bring the enchanting heroes of an era long gone back to life and charm their way into your heart!
This was a cute story that actually caused me to laugh at the heroine's antics as she tries to get the hero to pay attention to her. I have enjoyed all of the books in this series I have read so far and plan to look for the ones I haven't read. I'd definitely recommend this book to friends who enjoy a little humor in their reading.
This is one story where you need to pay attention are the characters will be like who did what to who and who married who? Seriously Caroline has never wanted to married unless it was for love. But after being caught alone with her best friend who just happens to be a man, Lady Caroline is told she must marry to avoid a scandal. Caroline likes her best friend, Dickie Dennis. He is the new Earl of Greenfield, but she does not love him. However upon arriving at the church, it appears Dickie is not going to show. However Dickie's older brother, Max Dennis, the Duke of Harewood, steps up and says he will marry her to save Caroline and both families' reputations. Caroline wants to refuse, but how can see. How will Caroline manage in a marriage that is only for convivence? Will Dickie show back up? The book is a little long, but I think you will enjoy the story.
I really like Maximilian, how much honor he had always trying to do the right thing & being a true gentleman, unlike his brother & how he show patience with them both & had a great sense of humor, I loved read his chapters
I liked how they both came to to get to know one each other & have their love developed & had great banter & moments together
Though I really didn't like any Caroline behavior for about the first third of the book & wish she would have acted like a adult & just talk to him, but when they did start to get closer I did appreciate how she seemed to regret it & how nice she was to him & how they did start to talk. I absolutely loved the last chapter! I thought they were really cute couple
I enjoyed this well-written story. It describes the way a brother tries to protect his family and in some ways he is over-protective. Lady Caroline was seen talking to her friend, Max's brother Dickie, without a chaperone. They were forced to plan their wedding quickly. However, Dickie did not turn up for the wedding and his brother, Duke Max, married Caroline in his stead. He was trying to protect Caroline's reputation. At first, Caroline and Max found it hard to settle into their marriage. Gradually things changed and they found a way to become friends. However, they agreed to separate when two months had passed. Will they be happy apart? Will they be able to overcome the gossip and find a new life together? Read on and enjoy.
This book is about an honorable man named Max who married a woman he didn’t know for her honor. His brother Dickie found alone w Caroline, and they had to marry. When Dickie didn't show up at the church, Max married her. Caroline was furious bec she did not want to be forced to marry. Max also did not want to marry, but he married her for her honor. Caroline was not grateful. There were lots of disagreements, but as they got to know each other, their feelings grew. It has a great ending.
Caroline is the last of her friends to wed, not really in a hurry. But when she and good friend Dickie are caught sitting alone and talking are forced into a wedding. But on the day of the wedding Dickie is a no show, and his older brother,Maximillian steps up and marries her. Not what either wants. This is a an interesting story of growth, but have a difficult habit of thinking but not acting on their feelings!
It was difficult for me to get into the story at first... I wished that I had reread Anna's story before reading this one. However, once things got going and I remembered all the characters and the previous storyline, I couldn't put it down! I even exclaimed out loud a few times, lol It is a sweet wrap up to a beautiful series. Don't miss out!
Tiffany Baton you've done it again! This is a wonderful love story filled with emotion and definitely touches the heart. The characters are very real and engaging and the plot fulfilling and exciting. The banter between Lady Caroline and Max is precious. You won't be disappointed with this book.
Sweet and clean read about how Max steps up to marry Caro, the girl his brother was to wed. Why and how that happen is revealed along with their eventual hea. Realistically though Caro would never have had the freedoms she appeared to have as a debutante in this story if she really had lived during that era so to a degree it was very off mark
The hero’s brother is supposed to marry the heroine as they had been caught in a conversation without a chaperone. The day of the wedding only the hero is present so he decides to take his brother’s place to save the heroine’s reputation. In this marriage of convenience they will be together for two months and then lead separate lives only that might not work. The banter is very entertaining.
An impossible situation with the groom; then interesting results that are undeniable. As love begins to grow each side thinks differently & therefore lengthens what is truly in their hearts. And then they realize somehow, somewhere they belong to each other.
Absolutely loved Max and Caro's love story. Although the silent strength of Max got on my nerves when I wanted him to be more verbal and open with Caro. I was pleased with the little character of Powder Puff and it's interactions with Max. Even the Extended Epilogue was very romantic and swoon worthy. This has been a really enjoyable series and I'm sad to see it end.
A scandal, a rushed marriage but a no-show or was it? This is only a bit of what you will be treated with. An enjoyable read with a few surprises but entertaining! With characters you will relate too and non ending turns.
Max and Caroline were certainly unpredictable! One moment they were becoming close and the next one was withdrawing! Their romantic journey had many ups and downs, but all worked out in the end!
