Hi there!! I bring you yet another thriller book review. In this book we walk with Dr.Kadma when he awakes in the middle of a park, bloody and with a dagger in his hand. When he returns to the mansion something happens and the police are there to greet him. What happened? Only reading can you know.
Dr. Sohil Makwana writes such an interesting tale, very depicted, I read as if I was in a movie with eerie scenes and mentally challenging ones, that makes you wonder what is happening. It’s a very easy read for those who feel that English books can be difficult. But beware because mental health is depicted and the whirlwind that comes with it. I do love the psychological part of this book, all the knowledge within it is super interesting and it hooked me. Some of the dialogue could be worked on, the more casual ones at the beginning of the book, however the technical dialogue is very well done. Also beware that there is some Hindi dialogue and idioms, which is normal and I love it, like I said in a previous review I made. I like these types of dialogue because it makes you immerse in the narrative and culture, and nothing that the translator can’t help with.
A maze until the end, you think you know what’s happening and then Puff! You are completely wrong and are led into a whirlpool of very well constructed details and plot that makes you surprised. The characters are well developed and intriguing. If you like thrillers, with medical themes and plot twists then I say for you to pick this one up and give it a try.

The Sleepwalker’s Lullaby by Dr. Sohil Makwana is one of the finest books in the psychological thriller genre that embeds medical thriller with the suspense. It is about Dr. Kadam who is a sleep disorder expert whose job is to try to find out the cause of a series of deaths that appear to be as a result of sleepwalking. The plot of Makwana’s novel is a brilliant example of how a potential victim is being hunted for, and the major plus is that the author is a doctor, so the stuff about sleep disorders is quite realistic and involving.
Its main strengths can be noted in the effective portrayal of the topics of post-tragedma psychological and emotional states together with providing the character of Dr. Kadam with the background of personal suffers and regrets. Owing to the creepy set up, excellent narration and good characters’ portrayal, the book places readers in a world where there is little difference between waking life and nightmare. The content of it is quite mysterious and there is a number of twist which makes the end astonishing.

I read this novel in two days and savoured every luscious word, every grim encounter, every flabbergasting twist. (It's the author's favourite word - I believe). The climax comes as hard and fast as a slap across the face.

The Sleepwalker’s Lullaby is a medical psychological thriller written by Dr. Sohil Makwana. It is engaging from the first page to the end. After the Murdrum series, this is another amazing thriller by the author.
Lullaby is palpable, with the author’s use of descriptive language that evokes the sense of something sinister lurking beneath the surface. By setting the story in an old, creaky Victorian house, Makwana adds to its eerie atmosphere. The dark and dense forests that surround the house magnify this sense of uncertainty and fear.
The Sleepwalker's Lullaby- a psychological thriller by Dr. Sohil Makwana is a breathtaking journey into an abysmal edge of human mind. Besides being deeply unsettling, it is unbelievably thought-provoking because it intertwines medical insights with a terrifying narrative.
The novel revolves around Dr Kadam who is a very smart psychiatrist but is mentally ill in his own right when it comes to his specialty area; sleep disorders. Dr Kadam gets involved in a bone chilling investigation that merges supernatural occurrences with science as he seeks to solve mysterious deaths related to extreme cases of somnambulism among patients. In order for him to unearth what really happened, he persists in unearthing new information on each case. He subsequently discovers an ominous pattern that implies far more than just somnambulism might be going on.
There are several aspects showing that Makwana once worked as a doctor when describing various aspects of sleep disorders down to the most minute details of these conditions thereby making them appear real which can be termed as ‘deep diving’ into psychological chaos within characters who struggle against their own selves. As much as there exists external threats they face, author perfectly creates an environment where inner demons prey on his characters’ heads.
Sleepwalker’s Lullaby has got one such atmosphere which can be felt by reading through some lines where the writer has used vivid description words suggesting some evil occurrence hidden somewhere out there waiting for its turn thus making one feel like having goose bumps all over their body while still seated comfortably at home. This strange feeling emanates from the story being based on an old, rickety mansion that Makwana has managed to add to induce a sense of creepiness. The surrounding dark forest is thick and makes it even more terrifying.
Imagine you were nicely sleeping in your comfy bed at your home, but when you got up, you were on a bench in a garden with bloodied clothes and a dagger in your hand. You have no clue as to what happened and how you reached there. What would be your reaction?? You have no memory of the scene and now you are clueless as to what exactly happened. And when you reach home you find a dead body covered in blood. Scary isn't it??
The drama thriller 'The Sleepwalker's Lullaby' by Dr.Sohil Makwana is a new addition to the list of best murder mystery thrillers. This story has all the elements of an intriguing murder mystery with huge twists, a great explanation of medical terms, profound research of the topic, no drawbacks, no leak of suspense, unpredictable and shocking end. Being a doctor, Dr.Sohil has used his medical experience to a very good extent to bring out a fabulous real story to you. The goosebumps, the scary feeling, the curiosity to know the suspense, and with all that, you learn so many new things that will give you a complete package of entertainment and thrill.
The humorous quotient is also a perfect blend here, and showing a psychiatrist (protagonist) with such a witty personality was a good decision. Netra's character is the most required boost of the story. Also, Dr.Mane, the Inspector, and a few more characters (I can't give spoilers) will keep you engaged throughout. It was so interesting and intriguing that I couldn't put it down till I finished it. The pace, the flow the plotting everything is commendable. It's a perfect story for a great movie or a thriller series. You will be shocked, flabbergasted, blown, and whatnot.
If you are a fan of thrillers or if you're not a fan of thrillers, this will work for you as it will make you love thrillers for sure.

The book’s ability to merge psychological depth with thrilling suspense is one of its greatest strengths. The unexpected plot twists keep you engaged and the detailed character development shines. Specific passages, like Dr. Kadam’s intense therapy sessions, showcase Dr. Makwana’s ability to blend psychological insight with dramatic tension.
If I had to point out a minor weakness, it would be that the intricate details of the psychological elements might feel overwhelming to readers unfamiliar with the subject. Additionally, some scenes occasionally feel stretched a bit too much, which can slightly slow down the pace. However, these are small trade-offs for the depth and authenticity that Dr. Makwana brings to the story.

Dr. Kadam is a complex protagonist, whose own struggles with sleep and a tragic past make him a deeply flawed yet relatable character.
