Tearlach is on a mission to find the reason behind the beta sickness and how the plight relates to the elven fertility crisis. The last thing he expected to find is the man who feels like a part of his soul.
Or how determined he’d be to keep Axel. No matter what.
A shifter with an impossible dream.
Axel's recovery from the beta sickness is slow and only bearable because of the elf that breathes new life into his world. Just when everything finally feels perfect, he is rocked by revelations.
The choice between his secret dream or a love that makes him feel whole seems impossible.
When truths are uncovered along with what is at stake, they have to decide if their love is worth everything they may have to give up to be together.
His Impossible Elf Mate is the fourth book in the Sweetwater Pack series and should be read after His Bonded Omega Mate
This has been a really great series. It includes all my favorite things, plus something different when it comes to the shifters while pregnant. They can still shift safely unlike all the others I have read. Ok, anyway, alot of wonderful things happen in this story. And most made me tear up with their excitement and what it means for them. It's a great read and I'm really looking forward to the next book!
There is a special place and its called Sweetwater! It holds many characters that are amazing, loving, and so much fun to read. A lot of those are in this story of Axel and Tearloch! Their story will fill you with love and understanding, laughter and tears. It is truly one of my favorites and I have loved all of this series so far.
Finishing it on Mothers day, with my mom having passed away two years ago, was extra special. When you read the story you will know why!
I love how our author just makes you go through all the feels!
I highly recommend you read all the stories by this author.
**4.5** Another fantastic paranormal romance from Jax Stuart. This time, it brings together the wolves of the Sweetwater pack and the elves. Tearlach is visiting the pack to help solve the beta sickness but meeting Axel becomes the most important thing to them both. There may be derision from some of the elven community towards shifters but Tearlach knows better, having had a vision from their Goddess, that this pack is the key to the elves infertility problems. Axel meets the man who comes so much to him when coming out of a coma, the beta sickness that has swept through his pack. You can feel the pain he feels for others suffering but also the frustration that he's not able to do what he did. Tearlach is the perfect remedy for that as they take the time to get to know each other. Though time is taken, it's actually quite a fast paced story, moving from problem to escalating problem as the pack deals with good things for them but outsiders deem to be wrong or unfair. There are also secrets between the two that will affect their future depending on how much they want to be together. I love this pack and the sense of love and community among them. There is a tinge of jealousy when revelations are made but only from the sense of wishing for themselves. The elves coming to help the pack creates huge changes for both species going forward and it will be very interesting to see how they come together in the future. I also loved the impact from the Goddess and The Luna, everyone listens to the words she speaks, especially when spoken in anger. Highly recommended read from this author. It's not necessary to have read the books previous in the series but I think it would help as there is an overall plot arc along with developing relationships. I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
Paranormal romances are some of my favorite reads and The Sweetwater Pack series is one of my favorites that I’ve come across over the last two years and I look forward to each new release. I have been excited for Axel’s story as pieces of his storyline have been hinted at in prior books. And this is a series I recommend reading what’s come before.
Axel is newly awakened from his illness and is slowly regaining his health back accompanied by the ever watchful and concerned Teàrlach. Teàrlach is one of the elves that’s come over from the fae world to help the pack battle the beta sickness that’s threatened them. The elves hope that solving this matter will help solve their own issues. I loved the little ways he’s slowly trying to learn Axel’s world from how to court Axel and their dates along the way. And I love how steadfast he is about his feelings for Axel. It’s beyond swoon worthy. I enjoyed seeing these two develop their relationship over the course of the book and how things change and develop for the pack and fae world.
Since the book covers some events from prior books, I appreciated there being helpful/brief run downs of some of the important parts without being repetitive. Seeing how Axel and Teàrlach’s were affected by some of the events was interesting and different perspective.
I’m looking forward to what comes ahead for this series-I won’t spoil but how do all the characters manage with some of the changes that have occurred in this book is something I can’t wait to read. Hoping Dalton gets his HEA and I am so curious as to who this omega will find as his alpha. I guess I’ll have to wait and see!
This is book 4 of the Sweetwater Pack series and it is definitely not a standalone. You really must read these books in order to have a hope of understanding everything that goes on. If it has been a while since reading book 3, not to worry. The author kindly provides a friendly glossary that lists all the important characters for this book and their relationship to each other. A great review to keep everyone straight in your mind. This is the story of Alex and Tearlach. Alex is a wolf shifter and second in command for the Sweetwater Pack. He is a twin and his brother Chase is a beta as well. Their alpha younger brother Blake is the pack alpha. Both Chase and Axel came down with Beta Sickness. Axel was the last to come out of it. The first thing he sees are the most startling turquoise eyes he has ever seen. That is how Axel and Tearlach meet. Tearlach is at Sweetwater to try and find a cure as he believes it will help with the elven fertility crisis. Though he has shown up as a guard, Tearlach is actually a Prince and only son to the Elven Queen. This is their story. The book is very well written and easy to read. Axel and Tearlach are like fated mates from the very beginning. Treating each other with respect and kindness. Axel has had a secret dream that only the goddess knows and when the opportunity arises to grab that dream, Tearlach is 100% behind him and trying to help. You will get swept up in all the action and unexpected twists. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one in the series.
I received a complementary advanced review copy from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Every time a Sweetwater Pack book comes out, I'm ready to read it immediately. I'm just that into shifter stories right now. This entire pack has just caught my attention and heart. I adore this series! Jax Stuart has made her characters so lovable, so intriguing that I'm impatiently waiting for each new one to come out just to see what she has written for us. The fact that she combines the storylines and has them happening concurrently keeps me on my toes. Do I remember that? Do I need to refresh my memory before the next book comes out? And then she added in the Northarbor Coven series to run side by side to Sweetwater. SHE BLEW MY MIND!! I am so entranced with this series, with the sister series, with these characters!
When I heard that Axel was getting a book, I was ready for it. I didn't expect it to be so sweet, so romantic. Axel and Tearlach are so good together, so comforting, and supportive to each other. Having Chase feature so much in Axel's story is perfect. When he moved in with them? My heart melted! I felt like this story had such a good pace. I felt like we moved from bit to bit of their story so smoothly. Yes, there are places where we're kept on tenterhooks waiting for the truth to come out, waiting to see the other's reactions. To me, that is what makes this book so good. I really want everyone to fall as much in love with this series as I am.
When there is magic, there are miracles. Is there, in fact, anything impossible about this author who has built such a fascinating, intriguing paranormal world with such loving attention to every detail? This was my first encounter with the Sweetwater pack, their friends and foes, and I'm already longing to return for more. While Insta love and fated mates are tropes that are a true challenge to be developed and presented in a way that draws a reader in, the author has done fantastic job with the plot and the story was an interesting page turner, full of bittersweet moments, hard decisions, life changing twists and emotional depth. I really love the strong found family vibe of the series and the big cast of amazing characters in these interconnected books. And if you are wondering why I am saying that this is my first dip in this world if I make such an observation, I already have all the others lined up for reading and started from the beginning. A shifter and an elf? Looks impossible? Will the 2 worlds connect after all and how many hurdles will there be on their way, I can’t wait to see. There is something for Axel I want to share but alas no spoilers - so read it for yourself and decide if you like this sweet, selfless man.
Axel is one of the beta shifters that was hit the hardest. When he finally awakens he feels a close affinity to the elf Tearlach. They are slowly getting to know each other when it's announced that the betas may be able to change designation to an omega or alpha. There's more research to figure out how it can happen as each couple are different. Axel really hopes his designation is omega because he's always wanted to have a family. Tearlach and Axel are together no matter what happens and are making plans. This is okay with Axel's immediate family; although, some of the pack members are reluctant to change. Tearlach has more of a challenge with the elf council and there's some that are determined to make trouble. This book is intertwined with parts of the previous books as certain things are happening simultaneously. Lots of drama going on with the romance.
The world and character building continue to build in the sweetwater pack and the elf world. The chemistry is really good. The story was really good. I like how things came to a satisfying conclusion. This is a good series and I highly recommend it and the author.
This is book 4 in the series and must be read in order to understand the overlaying arc. Tearlach is an Elven prince who received a vision from his goddess to go to the Sweetwater pack to help with the beta sickness. Axel is a beta wolf and was one who fell to the sickness. When he finally woke up, he saw Tearlach and knew there was something special about him. Tearlach, or T, felt the same way about Axel. The story starts from there as their romance slowly blossomed. There were great revelations about the sickness and how some factions of the Elven court tried to separate the two. I loved their interactions; they were so sweet together. Great world building, high heat and chemistry their happy ever after. I cannot wait till the next book in the series,
Axel & Tearlach are just so beautiful together you cannot help but smile at them. Axel has always been the second to the Sweetwater Pack, but when the beta sickness strikes, he will forever be changed with it in the best possible way. Tearlach & his fellow wolves got to Sweetwater to help find a cure for the beta sickness where all find connections they never thought possible. Usually, I'm not one for secret secrets, but with this book, it was a must to meet the ends. Once these two connect, it's a beautiful force that makes all the lives around them change for the better. What a beautiful story of two men connecting.
His Impossible Elf Mate is the 4th book in the Sweetwater Pack series. This book is best if you read the series in order in my opinion, so why not enjoy the whole series. This is the story of Tearlach an elf on ah mission and Axel a wolf shifter recovering from the beta sickness. This book gives us lots of information we didn't have before. I loved the way these two are together. This book was even more romance based then the others in the series. I love how Jax brings the characters to life. I would definitely recommend this book and series. This is a sweet 5 star read.
In this book of the Sweetwater pack series, Axel awakens from being in a coma for a month to fall for the elf Tearlach that is caring for him. But Tearlach as secrets. There is SOOO much happening in this book, changes for the pack, for the Elves and Tearlach and Axel are the catalysts, so much in love. The Goddess Luna shows her powers. I love it when Tearlach calls Axel "Dear One". This book made me cry more than once as some dreams do come true. I received a copy of this book and this is my voluntary opinion.
A wonderful continuation of this series! You do really need to read the whole series beforehand, otherwise there will be a whole lot of names and information that you just won't understand. These characters are warm, endearing, and so sweet together. The plot is well-written, and easily followed if you've read the previous books. It's always great to see characters from previous stories, or interconnected series revisited. I hope the series continues for many more books, and I certainly plan to read them all!
What a lovely Beautiful Story. SWEETWATER PACK Book #4 has wishes coming true. JAX STUART has taken this Pack to another level. Tearlach the secret Prince of the elven delegation has been struck by the sight of Axel. Recovering from the coma has left Axel confused. This Book sees so many dreams and heartfelt wishes coming true. This is just a well thought out world of imagination and beings we wish were real. BRAVO!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS SWEETWATER PACK SERIES!!!!!!!!!!
Axel has been suffering from the beta sickness and has finally awakened. He has an immediate connection with an intriguing elf named Tearlach. While there is lots going on with the sickness, royal court drama and danger the main focus is on Axel and Tearlach's relationship. As they slowly get to know one another their care and devotion to each other truly shines through. Axel finally realizing his most fervent and secret desire was beautiful to see and of course the babies were adorable.
This book is fantastic! The story weaves and twists and pulls you in so deep. I’ve completely loved the Sweetwater pack series from the beginning, but this book gives so much background and depth to the series that you never knew you missed but now makes the story so much richer. Axel & T’s relationship is epic and their love is portrayed so fantastically. It makes me want to reread the series from the beginning now!
This story was absolutely perfect in every way. Sweet sweet Axel. He is the pack’s Second, brother to the alpha, and twin to fellow beta Chase, but he has a secret desire that he has held close to his heart. Tearlach has come from the Fae realm to gather information and help the shifters of the Sweetwater Pack, all while hoping to solve the problem of the fae’s infertility. These two have a connection from the start.
This is a paranormal queer romance with mpreg, the fourth book of a secondary series which is best read in order. I don’t know why, but this book hit me especially in the emotions. From the very first time you meet the Sweeteater pack, you might feel that it’s unfortunate that the betas can’t have kids and Axel would be a wonderful father! I thought for sure in the previous books that Axel was intended for death or loneliness but Tearlech came along… what a great read!!
I am absolutely loving this series. This story was so good. The characters are so interesting and the ongoing backstory is so fascinating that I can’t wait for more. This was Axel’s story and I completely fell in love with it. I highly recommend this entire series and I can’t wait for the next story.
I am so happy for Axel's story! Axel is a protector and even more so a caretaker, but he has the beta sickness now. Tearlach is the Elf who has arrived to heal him. Axel gets more than just physical nurturing though. He finds a sweet and very special mate in his Elf. These two are both just genuinely lovable guys. I think this was a the most comforting read so far in the series.
Not sure how I feel about this book. It just seemed all too easy. Drama built up and then by the next page it had been resolved.
But then Axel didn’t try to challenge the omega discrimination that he had, despite all the other changes that were happening, surely what better time?
I don’t know, I did enjoy the story and I’m looking forward to Daltons
I really enjoyed Axel and T's story. They had to go through so much to be together. I hated that they were having to fight against others but their struggle really gave the elves the ability to have their lives fully back and have children. It has given even more people for the stories To continue to expand with.
DNF 37%. I enjoyed books 1&2. Realized after a bit of 4 that I must've missed book 3. There is so much referencing of other characters and recapping past books that I was confused most of this 37%. The writing felt weird and hard to follow, and I just got zero chemistry from the two main characters. Not sure if I'll ever come back to try again. 🤷🏼♀️
I’m so glad to see the transition of the pack. These two characters were my favorite. Axel is adorable and so is T. I hope we get to see Chase’s story if he has one. Since he doesn’t want a mate or kids it may not happen. I’m glad the series is not ending yet!
Each new story makes this series more and more interesting. Axel and Tearlach's story brings changes along with new beginnings and I can't wait to see what else is to come.
