I never looked back the day I left Sunset Drive. If I did, I knew that I would never leave the hellhole I had grown to despise, a place I began plotting my escape from as a child. The only difference was that I always thought she’d be by my side on the day I was finally free.

The day I left it all behind was the day my hatred for the entire Wilson family was born. Poppy included. After all, she had lied to the police just to protect her monstrous father after he got my parents killed. From that day forward, I decided she needed to be dead to me. They all did. The only thing that mattered from then on was the one thing that had never let me down. Hockey.

She may haunt me in my dreams during those three years we were apart, but that was nothing compared to now when I’m forced to see her at Brooks University. Slowly, my grip on everything else in my life begins to slip away as she becomes the only thing that matters. And when I find her in an alleyway, battered and bruised from two attackers who vow to return for her…I decide right then that I am going to protect her at all costs.

But protecting her means making a deal with the devil, also known as my rich uncle. A deal that will mean I will never get the chance to spend forever with the only girl I’ve ever loved. Poppy Wilson.

It’s a high price to pay, but when it comes to her safety, I have no limits.

I’m gonna be 100% and say I wasn’t exactly excited about Poppy & Walker’s story, simply for the fact that I couldn’t stand Poppy in the previous books we’ve seen her in. She was always just super b*tchy & cold. HOWEVER, their story ended up being one of my favorites. The storyline was so different from what I was expecting & it was absolutely perfect. The connection and chemistry between these two was so strong. & Walker?! Excuse me that man is perfection and should be protected at all costs. To me, he was a perfect mixture of Cam Hardy & Hunter Thompson 👏🏼 I’m so sad this series has finally come to an end, but it will always hold such a special place in my heart. Hannah wrapped this series up beautifully!

As always, thank you Hannah for the ARC. I’m super excited for what’s to come 😏🤭

I don’t think I have words to adequately describe how much I loved this book and this entire series. This is my Roman Empire. Brooks University and the Puck Boys are my holy grail, and Last Boy was an amazing send off to the universe that has my whole heart.

Poppy and Walker were the perfect couple to end our journey on, the ones that have been there in the background and now get to let us fall in love with them while closing this chapter of the Puck Boys.

I loved them. I loved them with my whole heart!

Poppy and Walker were everything to each other when they were growing up as best friends from the wrong side of the tracks. But when tragedy made them turn on each other, nothing but hurt and hate was left behind. Now at Brooks, they can’t help but being thrown in each others orbit, and there is a thin line between love and hate.

I know we all go seeing for the MMC, and let’s face it protective, confident Walker is as swoony as they come, but for me. This was Poppy’s story and I was here for every bit of her redemption.

I didn’t know how Hannah took a character I hated a couple books again and made her my favorite female of the entire series, but here we are. The push and pull between her and Walker was top tier, and if soulmates are real, then that’s what these two are.

And man, those soulmates are dirty. The spice in this was immaculate as always and there is one scene I literally was screaming and sweating I loved so much!

But what I think made me love this story so much was that it was theirs, but it was also the whole team’s. The characters we have loved through the last 6 books, all had some part in this story, and it wrapped up into what had to be one of my favorite endings to a series in a long time. I’m teary writing this because I’m still so emotional over it. (Yes, Link I’m talking to you.)

And can we please take a minute to tip our hats to Coach LaConte who might be my very favorite hockey coach to ever exist.

Just read this book, he’ll read this whole series. Hannah writes flawed characters with a ton of heart and weaves hockey into their stories in a way that drives the plot, the love story and everything around it. You will never hear me shut up about this series and there is a very good reason for that.

4.5⭐️ This was the perfect ending to the series. This book ruined me in the best possible way. I was a sobbing mess one minute and laughing the next - I was in all my feels for this one.

This is the last in the series and follows Poppy and Walker. They were childhood best friends until something traumatic happens to Walker and he blamed Poppy. Fast forward to years later at Brooks University, they now have to face one other for the first time after everything.

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about Poppy since she was always known as the “mean girl” but wow was I pleasantly surprised. Getting to see her side of why she is the way she is made me want to give her a big hug. No matter how much Walker wanted to hate Poppy it was clear he couldn’t - all he had for her was love. They brought out the best in one another and were each other’s better half 💓.

Poppy and Walker deserved their happy ended it and I am so happy with how the previous characters were intertwined to create the perfect ending. This entire series has my entire heart and is absolute perfection - I can’t wait to see what Hannah has next for us💕.

I absolutely have become an emotional wreck with Hannah's books, and this story was no exception. She took a character I absolutely could not stand and elevated her to one of my favorites.

Poppy & Walker both come from a very rough upbringing, and grew up next to each other. When something life changing happens which separates them they blame each other and have a lot of hate towards one another.

3 years later we see them at the same university, and in the same social crowd. These two definitely ride the line between love and hate. The tipping point is seeing another man all over Poppy which unleashes the possessive side of Walker.

I absolutely love how much Walker adored Poppy and how he would go to the ends of the earth to protect her. I loved seeing her go from a character we all probably disliked, and really understanding why, to seeing how strong & fierce she actually is.

This was such a great ending to such an amazing series. Poppy & Walker have definitely become one of my favorite couples.

I can’t believe this series is over! Hannah really went out with a bang with this one. I was an emotional mess after finishing this.

This one follows Walker and Poppy. And not gonna lie I wasn’t all that excited for Poppy. I mean let’s face it she was bitch in the previous books and it really made me wonder how Hannah was going to redeem her. Let me say that Hannah totally did and I frickin’ love her. Poppy and Walker were childhood besties until tragedy came and Walker blamed Poppy for it. Flash forward 3 years and they are both at Brooks University. They are thrown into the social space and there is a thin line here between hate and love.

Holy hell. Walker!!! 🫠🫠 that man is swoony! He is so protective of Poppy even when he is hating her. These two were literally everything and soulmates!! They have been through some trauma!! I really felt for Poppy, how dare you Hannah! Her past was so emotional and I’m so glad Walker was there for her when it decides to come back. 😭
This was such a perfect ending to the series. I mean the speech in the locker room…talk about a tear jerker!! I will miss this boys but I am so excited for what is to come next!

Thank you Hannah and Wordsmith for an eARC.

Absolute Perfection!!!
God damn Hannah, you know how to close out a series. 🥹

Last Boy was a book I didn’t know I needed but I’m so happy she gave it to us. I feel like we all weren’t fans of Poppy throughout the series but this book was her redemption and made me fall in love with her as an FMC. I really enjoyed the different direction Hannah took with Last Boy by making it a FMC focused book. We got to learn so much about her and why she acts the way she does in the previous books.

Walker might think he hates her… but when he sees her with his teammate the possessiveness takes over and shows just how much chemistry these two have 🥵

I’m so sad this is the last Puckboys new release but I’m so excited for what’s to come. Hannah never disappoints.

Poppy and Walker ruined me in the best way honestly!

Poppy Wilson and Walker James were best friends since they were kids, until tragedy struck and Walker blamed Poppy for it all. Now they are at Brooks University together and have to face each other since she watched him leave her 3 years ago.

Poppy has always been seen as the b*tch at school but no one knows what she has gone through in her past. The only one who knows is the one person that hates her… or does he? Once these two reconnect on campus, Walker finds himself being drawn to the girl he has always loved once again.

After Poppy finds herself in a dangerous situation, Walker takes it upon himself to be the one to protect her. To be there for her because at one point he wasn’t.

The plot twists in this book had my jaw on the floor and questioning everything LOL AND WALKER?!?! Absolutely filthy and I loved every moment of it.

This book comes out on 6/13 and you absolutely need this one on your TBR

This is pretty angsty. And as someone who loves angst, of course, I ate it right up.

Poppy and Walker knew each other as kids. They were so close. But when Walker needed Poppy to tell the truth, she decided to lie for her family. Years later, they're put into the same orbit in college. Poppy hasn't forgiven Walker for leaving, and Walker hasn't forgiven Poppy for not telling the truth.

Poppy isn't a total sweetheart, which I understood. She'd had a rough life, and it's shown with how she interacts with her fellow dancers.

When Poppy and Walker are running into each other, whew it gets snippy. They are NOT jumping headlong back into friendship. But when Poppy suffers a loss, things really change between them. And Walkers viewpoint shifts. And when she's threatened, Walker realizes that he'll do anything for her. And I loved that Poppy doesn't let his past actions slide either. She calls him on them.

Loved it. I've only read two in this series, but I think it could be a stand-alone. But I'm thinking that some of the characters' plot lines from previous books are overlapping. And it makes me want to go back and read theirs!

I was so nervous for Poppy’s story! As I’m sure anyone who’s read the Brooks Boys knows Poppy was not the most loveable character throughout the series, but man did Hannah do this girl justice!! This book was absolutely brilliant!! You got kind of a glimpse into her life in Lost Boy, but you got to see everything unfold from her perspective in this book and it honestly couldn’t have been better!

Walkers has loved Poppy since they were kids who grew up on the wrong side of the track. When something tragic happens Poppy has to choose between her brother and the only man she’s ever loved, watching Walker walk away was hard let alone that he now hates her on top of it. 3 years later they are back at the same school and being enemies is harder when you have to see the person everyday. Will Walker and Poppy be able to overcome all the obstacles in their lives together or was it always meant to end? Read Last Boy by Hannah Gray to find out!

Once again, Hannah Gray made me cry with these puck boys. Walker and Poppy are absolutely end game and always have been. I was so happy to get their book. I cried multiple times, I just felt so much for these characters, and I am not ready for this series to be over. The cameos at the end made me so happy. I love these puck boys!

This was such a solid hockey series.
It had banter.
But it had some very serious topics throughout.

This one was no exception.
Both kids from wrong side of tracks.
Drug issues.
Down syndrome rep.
Childhood friends to strangers/enemies to lovers.
Hockey/ballerina
This was definitely Poppy’s redemption book.
Walker James was pretty alright

The Dr Boobies storyline was a little off/weird to me.
I also kept forgetting these were 18/19 year olds.

This book did me in. I have loved reading the Puck Boys of Brooks University so much and I am so sad it's over. I was hooked on Poppy and Walker's story from the beginning- but then Chapter 14 packed one of those moments that had me grasping at my (non-existent) pearls.

By 71% in this story, I made myself put my kindle down and message Hannah because I was so overwhelmed with emotions. I love when a book pulls me out of reality and takes over my life the way that Last Boy did, and honestly the way this whole series did. I was enamored with these characters and their stories and loved them all immensely!

Last Boy will always hold a special place in my heart, probably because it's the end of an era. I loved it so much. SOSOSO MUCH! Bringing some favorites back for a visit in the end had me in tears. The ending was so heartwarming and just perfect. I loved Jake, he stole my heart. And the moment when he was talking to Walker about Bonnie- I was heaving with tears of joy.

I loved how the timeline fit over Cade and Weston’s stories seamlessly. This book was so well written and the length was perfect and I’ve loved these characters so much!! A favorite hockey series of all time, 100% no question. Thank you so much, Hannah, for bringing up pure perfection in hockey boy form!!!

Today is the end of an era. The last puck boy is out in the world for everyone to read! 😭 I started this series last February, and was immediately hooked from Cam. Now, we’re here full circle with Walker & Poppy 🫶🏼.

This is book 7 in the series and is definitely one of the heaviest. There’s so many layers to be unpacked here. It’s part of why I love childhood friends > enemies > lovers SO much.

Poppy. Oh, sweet Poppy girl. I just wanted to hug her so many times! We met her in other books leading up to hers, and she’s one of those characters you could just feel there was more to her story. There was a reason she acted out how she did, and boy, was I right 🥺. We didn’t know a whole lot about Walker going into this, but they share a deep rooted history of loss/addıction/grief that not many others can comprehend.

The spice is HITTING!!! My god. Buckle up. As usual, HG brought the heat because I was involuntarily thigh clenching over here OKAY 🤣🫠.

I’m sad to say goodbye to this world (I only cried like 3x, be proud) but I’m also so excited because she gave us 2 new story lines to be excited for!!! What are they? Read and find out for yourself. 😏🩷

Tropes: hockey player x ballerina • childhood friends > enemies > lovers • “it’s always been you” • virgin MFC • hurt/comfort • “who did this to you” • Down syndrome rep • grief/loss/addıction • found family

Thank you a million times to my girl, Hannah for letting me be on your team and in your corner to read this early!!! Ily forever and ever!! 🩷

“I’m not an easy person to love.” “I’m not a fan favorite. I’m not warm and soft. Sometimes, I swear I don’t belong in any room I enter.” - Poppy Wilson

The fact that this book is the last of The Puck Boys series.. the last book of a series that made me fall in love with hockey romance.. the end of their “era”… I’m honestly emotionally unstable. Hannah Gray made me fall in love with the hockey genre and these books… I’m better for reading the words she writes.

THIS BOOK…Poppy&Walker… their story was a complete surprise at the end of Perfect Boy.. and although I don’t think this book had to be written to end The Puck Boys… I loved it. I loved reading it from the eyes of two kids who had parents that were addicts.

I feel like when addiction is talked about in a lot of story’s -authors focus on the actual addict him or herself… from their POV, and the ones it’s effecting kind of get trampled on. I appreciated this book from that perspective more than I could EVER truly express. From the adult children’s POV.. how the aftermath hits hard and home… the grief, self worth doubt, always wondering if talking a medication to help something will trigger a genetic makeup inside of you… it’s so good to read something like this.

Poppy Wilson is an FMC I will carry around inside my soul for the rest of my years. I loved reading her redemption story… I was a little skeptical about how Hannah would redeem her for me.. but, seeing how she comes from a childhood that isn’t all sunshine- I understand the guard she placed around herself… the emotional abuse I experienced while reading this book.. I could feel off the pages why she felt alone, why she pushed everyone away, WHY SHE TRUSTED NO ONE. She worked her butt off and time after time she was knocked back down.. and she always got back up.

Although I loved Walker in this book.. I genuinely love the story of him and her…i do think this was Poppy’s book and she deserved to feel what she needed to feel. She was the story.. did I feel bad for him, and love him all the same?? Yes, but Poppy deserved this… she had to do what she did.. and Walker had to also do what he did.. because at the time THE WERE CHILDREN IN THE AFTERMATH OF CRAP ADULT CHOICES.

as always, I’m hyping Hannah up forever. I can no WAIT for Logan’s book, or Hudson’s. I have been waiting for a Single Dad trope from you sis- and I’m ready!!! ILYSM & I mean it!!

um wow. I quite literally have no words. I just finished this book 5 minutes ago while working so yeah. I do not even know how much I highlighted, but I know it was a lot.

So once I found out that Hannah was going to write Poppy and Walker's story to conclude the Puck Boys series I knew it was going to be good, I just did not know it was going to tug at my heartstrings and make me sob uncontrollably.

The cards that these two characters were dealt was something so heartbreaking to read, but also so beautiful in a masochistic kind of way. I always thought when I first learned about Poppy in Sutton's book that she was an interesting character because someone who has all that anger definitely came from a rough background and this story explained the life that Poppy had to live and what she endured. And then to know that Walker was a part of her past and he also lived that same life until he moved with his uncle years ago?

I do not want to spoil this but be prepared to cry your eyes out because the obstacles that these two characters have to face truly broke my heart while reading it. Poppy and Walker are the definition of soulmates. They are a great example that no matter how much time passes or the distance, two hearts and two souls will always make their way back to one another.

Hannah, congratulations on another fantastic release. You made me cry, you made me laugh, you made me put down the kindle because I had to stop for some moments to just really take a breath. It was so bittersweet seeing the characters from the other books and where they are now. I am so excited for everyone to read this book. It has heavy topics but it is definitely something people should read. Amazing!! I cannot wait to see what you write next. I saw that little sneak peek.

Highlights:

She's so much better than she leads on. She's just afraid to show it because that'll leave her open to getting hurt.

"Make her smile more, man. Be the reason why she smiles."

"What hurts, baby? Tell me what hurts."
"Everything, everything fcking hurts."

"For kids like us? It's a miracle to even make it to the point he's at. We didn't have support or love. Or anyone to cheer us on. Besides each other."

"You've loved me since far before I ever loved myself. You saw me when I didn't want to be seen. And, Walker James, I promise that for the rest of our lives, I will make sure that you are seen. We were already family, but I am honored to have your last name."

“There will always be you, and there will be me. But without this street, there would be no you and me. So, as much as I’d like to … I can’t hate this place,” I mutter softly. “I can’t hate anything that led me to you.”

“I love you. I have loved you since we were kids, and I will love you until the day I die.”

First, let me say, I NEVER do book reviews this long. I’m not a fan of long reviews. BUT, it was needed.

I swear each book in the series gets better and better. Walker and Poppy were EVERYTHING and gave ALL THE FEELS!!!! The trauma these two have been thru!!! 😭😭 I was about 40% in and bawling my eyes out and honestly, cried on and off the rest of the book. I don’t know how these two went three years without each other because they are absolutely soul mates! Walker and Poppy have history on top of history and even after being apart for three years and hating each other, there was nothing that could stop them from finding their way back to each other. Walker was always there for Poppy even when she didn’t want him to and it had me melting into a puddle, just like when Poppy was there to save him from his uncle. And the way Poppy always made sure her brother Jake was taken care of was the most heart warming thing ever. Then at the end when Poppy did her performance and dedicated it… 😭

There are so many more things I could say about this book but for the sake of not spoiling it, all I can say is just read it yourself and you will know. I highlighted the heck out of this book because there were so many parts that had me in a choke hold. I cannot stop thinking about this book and as much as I did not want this series to end, I’m glad it was with Walker & Poppy! 🩷

I am CRYING!! I’m not ready to say goodbye to my puck boys. This series will forever live in my heart and soul rent free. What an end to an era! I loved all my babies! When I heard Poppy was getting a story, I wasn’t excited because I wasn’t a huge fan of her in the other books in this series.. HOWEVER, after reading her story. I understand why. She definitely grew on me. I enjoyed watching her grow.

Last Boy is the 7th book in the Puck Boys of Brooks University Series following Poppy Wilson & Walker James. Poppy fell in love with Walker when she was 10 years old, they lived on the same street and both had a rough childhood. But when one day ends in a tragedy, he leaves her behind without even looking back. 3 years later, they are both attending Brooks University. Once they see each other again. The push and pull happens. Walker wants to never leave her again and Poppy is scared to show her feelings again which can end up hurting her.

I loved how Walker would do anything to keep Poppy safe! He never backed down. He never gave up on showing her, he is the one for her. Poppy is cold hearted and is a b*tch but she never let anything hurt her and I love that about her. Walker is able to warm up her heart a bit and she starts showing her true self.

BUT HANNAH GRAY!!! I am so excited for what you have in store for us!! Logan’s book and a new series!! IM SO EXCITED!

Hannah really came for the heart with this one. Poppy and Walker pulled me in and made me feel all the things!

Poppy and Walker were best friends in their childhood, but after a tragic incident, hearts broke and blame was placed. 3 years later, they are back in each others life, now that they are both attending Brooks University. Walker cant stay away from her once he finds her again, and when she gets into danger, he risks everything for her.

The tension from the moment these two see one another again is intense! Poppy has always been the mean girl in the other books of the series, and now seeing her POV is a testament to you never know what someone is going through. I loved the banter, the chemistry & spice (BOTH of their mouths 🥵), and how protective they were of each other. I was shocked by the twists and connections in this one and really found myself hanging onto each chapter.

Poppy and Walkers journey was an emotional one, and I found myself getting choked up a few times. Hannahs ability to write raw and emotional characters is so special, and I was so happy to see these two get their happy ever after.

Rating: 5/5 🌟
Spice: 2.5/5 🌶️
Characters: Walker and Poppy

It's not a Hannah Gray book if you don't fall in love with and swoon over the hero, want nothing but happiness for the heroine, and cry your eyes out...several times.
Also, can we just take a moment to appreciate how much Cade we got in this book?! My heart hurt so much but was also so happy.
These two were truly soulmates. They just needed some time apart to grow and really realize that. It's heartbreaking, the way they both grew up and what they both had to go through. If you have read the other books in the series, then some of it you already know about before it happens. That doesn't lessen the impact though. I cried so many times throughout this book, for both of the characters. I am such a sucker for a man truly allowing himself to feel and show his emotions and Walker gave me that. I loved him so much. And I seriously despised his uncle.
I didn't like Poppy in the other books, but I wasn't worried about that going in. I knew Hannah would make me love her and she definitely did that.

And can we just take a moment to bow down to the “good boy” scene?! It will forever live rent free in my brain. It hit so good!!

Obviously, I'm going to go back and re-read the entire series again now.

I am not ready to say goodbye to this series...but I'm extremely excited for what's to come.

Hannah! You truly outdid yourself with Walker & Poppy’s story. I didn’t know what to expect for this book but you exceeded my expectations.

When I first met Poppy in Sutton’s book I could not stand her and thought she was the biggest b*tch. Little did we know we would feel for her when we found out why she has that tough b*tchy exterior. Poppy and Walker met when they were kids and were best friends growing up going through hard times together that were very similar. They were inseparable until something tragic tore them apart.

Several years later they are brought back together both attending Brook’s University. Until something terribly happened to Poppy, Walker swore he would stay away from her and then did whatever it took in order to protect her.

I felt for Poppy so much in this book. Finding out what she went through broke my heart. I now have a soft spot for Poppy, she came back stronger and she is one of the most resilient FMCs I’ve ever met.

Walker. SIR. The mouth on you. 🥵 You filthy, filthy man. He was so protective of Poppy and loved her so hard. They deserved this happy ending after everything they went through together. I’m always a fan of the banter and they had plenty of it.

I’m so sad to see this series come to an end but cannot wait to see what Hannah has in store next for us!

Another amazing story from Hannah Grace.
It was heartbreakingly beautiful and Walker and Poppy were perfect for each other.

It was great to understand Poppy’s past and what made her so standoffish in the other books and Walker shines throughout.

These two have a past full of heartbreak but they had each other to make things that little bit better. That is until tragedy strikes and Walker leaves town, leaving behind a heart broken Poppy.

3 years later Walker is back in town to play for the Brooks University hockey team, the same University Poppy attends.

The chemistry these two have even when they are hating on each other was just fire, you will be routing for them throughout.

It’s a bit of a slow burn but that spice be spicing when it gets going. Walker James has a filthy mouth on him and I’m here for it!

I’m sad to be saying goodbye to the Brooks boys, but it was the perfect ending this will always be one of my go to recommendations.

I’m excited for what’s next! We get a little sneak peak at the end of this book and I CANNOT wait!!

This first half of this book was so emotional; I was sobbing. The things that Poppy went through, sacrificed and endured was so much more than one person could handle and it killed me. But man was she tough as nails. And the way that Walker wanted to be there for her; the way he regretted his choices and hated himself for them and vowed to atone and always be there for Poppy . . . swoon. I just fell hard for him. The second half was . . . huh? I don't want to give too many details 'cause spoilers but that story line felt weird to me. And the conflict was resolved with no details and that was super disappointing. Would have loved to see what the dirt was. Oh well. I still adored Walker and Poppy's story. I loved that we got to see tiny peeks into the other puck boys. I think that is one of my favorite things about this series - all these relationships developed during the same time so we got to see how other characters saw the stories developing. Which also meant we didn't really have to say goodbye to the characters. A very good ending to this series. Can't wait for the two spin offs hinted at in the end.

Hannah, you saved the best for last and really outdid yourself. I was utterly broken and a crying mess reading this. It was so sad, emotional, heartbreaking, while also uplifting. I was weary about Poppy because she was always the mean girl, but she has a reason for her actions. And Walker…. he really did a 180. It gutted me and it was so hard to read what these two have been through. I loved that they were childhood friends and have loved each other their whole lives. Even though they came apart, and fell apart, they proved that true love and soulmates do exist and they can get through anything. Whatever you write, I devour and I couldn’t put this book down. I absolutely loved it and especially that you brought back a lot of characters to say goodbye. I can’t wait for the next series. I felt like this was the beginning of the end and it was bittersweet. Thank you for the Puck Boys and Brooks U. They will forever hold a piece of my heart 🫶.
You ended this beautifully; congrats!

Last Boy (ARC review)

This was definitely a beautiful yet difficult book. So many hard topics were mentioned, and each character had his demons and an awful past. Poppy was such a strong and independent woman. She went through hell and survived. Her attitude might not have been the best, but seeing her have the development she did made me so proud of her. I loved her a lot and especially the love she had for her brother. Their bond was so beautiful, and they deserved the world. Walker was such an angry man. He showed his feelings even if he tried to hide them. To watch him find his Poppy again and try to win her over was so stunning. I can say that both of them were complex characters with so much depth and so much pain inside them. Them trying to fight for a brighter future was something that they deserved after everything they've been through. Their moments were so special, and their chemistry was out of this world. I adored them so much! Some parts of the books were hard for me but I appreciated them being mentioned. The epilogue made me so excited for what's coming!!

This was such a perfect way to end the series!! I’m so sad the Puck Boys are complete, but Walker & Poppy ended it with a bang.

I was unsure how I would feel about Poppy as she has been known as the mean girl, but oh my gosh I fell in love with her and Walker and this book has my heart!!!!

Poppy Wilson fell in love with Walker James when she was just 10 years old. But when tragedy strikes, he leaves 5 years later without looking back. Now- they’re both at Brooks University and see each other for the first time in 3 years. They both can’t seem to stay away from each other even though they know it can only end in heartbreak.

I loved how Walker would do anything to protect Poppy. And honestly, Poppy shocked the hell out of me with how protective she was of Walker.

I will say I was not prepared for the MOUTH ON WALKER JAMES🥵 Even Poppy had me sweating at points. The spice in this is TOP TIER

Love love love. I’m so sad to see the end of this series but I CANNOT wait for Logan’s book and this new series😍🥹

This is the last book in the Puck Boys of Brooks University series and I’m so sad. I’ve been so curious about both Poppy and Walker throughout the series and I’m so glad we finally got their story. Their story was super emotional and definitely not a read for work since I basically cried through a good 25% of the book. I now understand Poppy so much more and her story is so heartbreaking. You could tell from the start that they both loved each other, but needed to work through their past. They were able to do that and grow together and it was such an amazing story. Some of their quotes about Walker’s uncle were so funny to me. I was holding in my laughter while working. I absolutely loved when called him “Uncle F****** Titty Man” 🤣 and my favorite quote from Poppy was “And you got me showing up here, looking like the Pillsbury Doughboy” 😂

I’m super excited for Hannah’s next 2 books and absolutely can’t wait for Hudson’s book!

Last Boy… muah, utter perfection! This series captured my heart from the first book I read and will forever remain there. Hannah outdid herself with this beautifully written story. I felt so many emotions reading this book. It was a bittersweet ending to one of my favorite series.

Poppy & Walker had a tough childhood, which is what brought them together as kids. He was her friend and her protector. They secretly loved each other until tragedy struck and Walker blamed Poppy. He left resenting her and never looked back. Fast forward three years later and now they are both attending Brooks U, where they can’t deny the chemistry between them. Now, Poppy finds herself in a dangerous situation and Walker will do anything to protect and keep her safe…Even if he has to sell his soul to the devil.

The moment I met Poppy I knew I wanted to know her backstory. She is so strong, resilient and selfless, which was a total contradiction to what any outsider would see. Walker was the exact same way, which is what made them soulmates. This story was heartbreaking, emotional, spicy, and had top notch banter. The plot twist with a touch of mafia vibes was exciting. The ending tied in perfectly with a reunion and a set up for what’s to come next. I absolutely loved this beautifully written redemption story Hannah gave to these two kids from the wrong side of the tracks.

Thank you Hannah & Wordsmith for the ARC
