Gifted to the Beast was completely addicting and sinfully sexy. I loved the story, the steam and the unexpected twists. THE BEST. Klawz and Holly find themselves connected through dreams but when those dreams become reality, things aren't what they seem. Klawz is determined to seek revenge for the wrongs of his past and Holly has no knowledge of who and what she really is. Holly is enraptured by the beast that demands her submission and Klawz is surprised at the reaction he has to the beauty who pulled him into her world.
Holly and Klawz will have to work together to fight the danger that surrounds them as well as discover they're meant for so much more...together. I loved these two. Holly was sweet and sugary but also salty and spicy when she needed to be. Klawz was the big baddie but also a cinnamon roll. Alison wrote these two characters perfectly and I loved their beastly natures that were made just for each other.
If you love paranormal romance with plenty of heat, Omegaverse vibes and an entertaining plot to go along then definitely snatch this one up. I love Alison's spicy reads!

A fast-paced & thrilling, STEAMY Monster romance with a Christmas setting! A being kept captive, & the beauty who unknowingly freed him 😉.
Devoured my #ARC in around 3hrs, Loved Holly & Klawz! I think Demon x Angel is my kryptonite 😍.
Holly is an orphan from Kansas, all alone in world now. Searching for her dreams, she goes to bigger town, but there are bastards... wanting attack a innocent (& virgin) girl (I must say the bus scene was triggering as I've gotten harass there too, it's sad it all happens *sigh*). Summoning her dream monster was an accident, but wanting him...?
Klawz has become the monsters he judged, being captured, tormented for centuries. Do goodness even exist anymore? Especially from HER kind? Is her acceptance & gentleness truths or trickery...can it be real?
The novella is packed with action, grumpy/sunshine (before K melts heh), A race against time for freedom, fascinating lore, a fun plot twist, (technically Insta) love (definitely fated mates magic!). I liked seeing H come into her power 😳😍. The revenge! I did want a more drawn out climax but it is good 🤷. I mean it is bounded to it's length lol.
The epilogue's cute, I'm very excited to see it's a series & where it goes with their kids! RTC. It was my 1st time reading a Alison book with 1st person 🤗.

This story takes turns and twists some might not be ready for, so be advised of the trigger warnings.
Klawz is a naughty, naughty male and Holly wouldn't want him any other way! He's her hero and when lewd men come for her with evil intent, her dark nightmare rolled into one.
She's a farm girl new to the wonders of the big city and innocent as a newborn fawn and the wolves are on to her scent. But do her innermost thoughts of her dream lover make her a bad girl?
Klaws may be kept in a temple but they treat him like a monster. Tortured, starved and in need of blood, his jailers wait until he's at his weakest to bring the "sacrifices" so he's at the whim of his hunger. They want his power but he will be free one day.
But it's her who torments him the most. She slips in like none of the others but still out of his reach. It's her he wants to end the most of all. The one he can hear but never see.
When he finally sees her, it's only to see others touching what is his! His to punish. His to judge and sentence. They. Will. Die!
Then she does the one thing that for centuries he himself hasn't been able to do. She summons him to her, setting him free of his prison. But that won't save her from his wrath.

Let me tell you, this novella is something special! The cover is an eye-catcher, but what sets Gifted to the Beast by Alison Aimes apart is the fantastical story it tells. It packs a punch with a surprising twist that left me asking... "Did I really just read that?"

But I had a moment of relatability to Holly, she realizes Klawz has used her and says "I'm so stupid… I-I thought you saw something in me and it didn't matter that we looked so different or that this felt so unreal." Insert all the tears 😫 man oh man. Hugs to the ones that have been used.

First thought: i loved it.

It was a dream which started in a horrible and terrifying way but the more time we spent with our couple the better it became.
This was a story about sweet and innocent Holly who decided to change her life so she is traveling during Christmas season, unfortunately evil and sick men decided to prey upon her. Fortunately the beast appeared before the harm was done to her. But who is he? What he wants? Why he is thinking that she summoned him to trap and enslave? Why he reminded the monster from her strange, explicit and hot dreams?
And as i said, this book started with scenes which make me sick, so please read trigger warnings so you can get an idea what awaits you on the pages. This was a dark romance story with sweet and steamy cherry on the top, and what a tasty cherry we’ve got.
Because this book is only 170 pages, i had this thought that i would have preferred this story to be longer so everything would have been more balanced and not so rushed (some scenes). Some parts of “awakening” were nice, but confusing because of the speed things changed.
However, the big plot twist of in the second parts was so clever and unexpected and i loved this enormously.
Will definitely wait for the new stories in this world or even with our lovely couple.

Klawz has been imprisoned and used for his powers for decades, but sees Holly in his dreams. One day, when she's in danger, she summons Klawz through their bond to protect her, only the beast believes her to be working with those who have imprisoned him for so long that he doesn't see her innocence at first.
The two go on a journey together to try and escape Klawz fate of being drug back and reimprisoned while exploring their connection as Holly learns exactly what and who she is along the way.
I liked it, the pacing was a little odd at some places but it was a novella so it happens when the book is shorter. I felt like it was either action/conflict or smut and that there wasn't much in between. I didn't really feel like the profound connection between the characters could be described as love, rather lust. I just didn't feel there was enough building of something to justify calling it love.
Either way it was a quick, short read with spice and monsters, but I did find myself skimming some parts.

♡ Though this was a novella and very spicy, the world building and descriptions of the settings really brought everything together and made the story fleshed out very well

♡ Didn't realize this was a dark romance lol so it did take me by surprise at first, I'm not the biggest fan of this genre and there were some things that I just didn't gel with but I still had a decent time reading the book
♡ Felt that it took a long time for Holly's character development and that a lot of the writing of the character's thinking and her dialogue were repetitive
♡ The criminals in the beginning of the story had dialogue that was cringey

This interesting Book 1 in The Protective Monsters in Love Book Series has a well-written Monster Sci-fi Romance with well-crafted characters with intriguing histories, unique personalities and believable and sometimes dark interactions. I liked this Novella. It will keep you engaged throughout the story. A slightly dark holiday themed story.

An angel/demon love story that I wasn’t expecting. I thought it was going to be a human/monster romance but I’ll take it!
The spice was good and the story line OK. It could use a little more history and vetting but the foundation is definitely there. I might take a peek at the other stories in this series.

Oh my gosh what an unexpected bewildering turn of events. At first I was thinking eh....but wow I was totally addicted to it by the end. There are so many twists and turns that it kept me on my toes. Situations that would put fear into any human.
The characters and intensity they projected from start to finish was alluring, even through the darkest parts there was light.
The overwhelming love that flowed throughout this story would melt the most coldest of hearts. 💜

I'm going to try to be more consistent with my reviews this year.
This was good, but it had the potential to be better, but given the fact that it was a novella, I could not expect too much. This book actually had the chance to do well as a full-length novel, and the author missed their chance.
I wasn't too pleased to read about all the events that took place span over only around 12 hours. Like, huh??? We get introduced to the fact that there are many realms out there, and only one is explored by accident?
I think I was also put off by the fact that the FMC gains her powers out of nowhere with no proper background information given about her origins. It's just all thrown in there, and we're expected to make sense of it.
Because this was a novella, it could've left out some information or circumstances because it only feels very unsatifying to be left with so many plotholes.
I'm also shocked to see how many high ratings there are for this book, so I'm definitely in the minority.

This was good, but it had the potential to be better, but given the fact that it was a novella, I could not expect too much. This book actually had the chance to do well as a full-length novel, and the author missed their chance.
I wasn't too pleased to read about all the events that took place span over only around 12 hours. Like, huh??? We get introduced to the fact that there are many realms out there, and only one is explored by accident?
I think I was also put off by the fact that the FMC gains her powers out of nowhere with no proper background information given about her origins. It's just all thrown in there, and we're expected to make sense of it.
Because this was a novella, it could've left out some information or circumstances because it only feels very unsatifying to be left with so many plotholes.
I'm also shocked to see how many high ratings there are for this book, so I'm definitely in the minority.

i think I should’ve really read this around Christmas time due to the mentions that were made and that at the time of this review it’s February 2024.
I also just couldn’t really grasp to the story or characters, but this had a pretty cover and it was smutty…but idk? wasn’t really for me in the end. I might give it another shot sometime in the future and see if my opinion changes, as I did want to like this one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Dark & Spicy Beast Times To Be Had Here
Gleeful Goblin Review: The plot setup of this book was pretty unique imo. The MCs are in different worlds and have been dreaming spicy dreams of each other for about 3 years but both assume vastly different reasons for the dreams. MMC is an...experienced male of indeterminate age (reference to being long lived though) who's simultaneously a captive and the object of worship in a fantasy-esque setting. FMC is very much sheltered 19 year old v¡rgin living in what seems like standard Kansas in the USA and is newly on her own. The two are drawn together when FMC is in danger and MMC hears her "summoning" in his world while awake, goes through a portal, and wreaks bl00dy havoc on the group of men attacking her, but thinks she's summoned him on purpose and needs to be....punished.
"The concept of her kind and mine bringing each other anything but misery is an unholy secret I plan to take to my grave—and hers. Which is why I don’t wait, her breathing still heavy, her muscles not yet fully slack, before I lean over and remind her of exactly her current predicament—and what it means for her kind to be the plaything of a beast. Pressing her into the mattress with my weight, I whisper in her petal-like ear. “I am all those things you conceded, little foe. But, above all, I am your judge, your deliverance, and your destiny.”
I expect her to flinch. Perhaps shudder. Instead, her head lolls to the side and her gaze finds mine. “I think you’re right.” “What?” My question emerges as a puff of dumbstruck exhalation. “I won’t deny you scared me when you first arrived, but… not anymore. That was incredible. You really can hear my wishes.” Her breathy words and easy acceptance shock me. Not an illusion. Not an empty wish. But a genuine reaction. It’s too much. Too wrong. And not at all what I expected.

She’s never been treated with love but she’s been dreaming of a monster who gives her exactly what she needs for the last three years. With her foster parents dead, she takes a bus to the “city”, only to find a gang attempting to abduct her for nefarious purposes…
Klawz, the male lead, looks like humans imagine demons and has been trapped by another species for long forgotten years. His people are supposed to reward the good and punish the bad but his captors torment him so that he punishes all they bring before him and steal his power to do the bad things they want to do. Now he finds himself summoned by a beautiful female that he’s sure intends further harm. To prevent harm to him, he binds her to himself, only realising later how naive she is. Determined to protect her whilst helping her understand herself, he’ll do whatever it takes to keep her safe from his captors. But Holly is growing and learning and she’ll whatever it takes to keep Klawz safe too…
This story is dual POV, well written, and a spicy, Christmas, Beauty and Beast style fantasy romance. I enjoyed Holly’s blossoming awareness of herself and the world around her. I enjoyed Klawz’s awakening from dulled monster to caring protective partner. I appreciated that he apologised for his initial treatment of Holly and never returned to it. I enjoyed the erotic intimate scenes. I enjoyed the banter. This story felt like the set up of a new series and I think it could be very interesting.

A spicy monster romance with some unexpected and original twists that had me rethinking my idea of angels and demons. As a true innocent, Holly was a tasty little morsel calling to every depraved degenerate in the city, so it was no surprise she was targeted before she even got off the bus. Facing a dire situation with seemingly no way out, she accidentally summons Klawz through a portal to another world. But has she just gone from the frying pan into the fire? Half man and half beast, he was certainly no one’s idea of a hero. Yet, he was no stranger to Holly in her dreams.
After being held captive and forced to do the bidding of his captors for so long, Klawz was teetering on the brink of insanity and trusted no one, certainly not the woman who he was convinced just wanted to use him and his powers. This novella is a freaking drug trip throughout every page... but in a good way???? if you're into that
It follows Klawz, who has been trapped for a while by these magic dudes slowly tortured and forced to use his powers to enact "judgment" on the innocent instead of the evil people he's meant to judge, and Holly, a farm girl who is running away or trying to start a new life for herself and runs into a bunch of trouble. A lot of twists, turns, and developments later, and it's actually an enjoyable short novella.
There were several things that were going to be confusing/strange solely because of the plot and length, such as the unexplained magic/supernatural element, as well as the whole Christmas aspect. I saw the blurb mention it has Christmas references but no, there's a strange fascination with Christmas themes? I'm not sure if that was to market it as a Christmas book or just because everything somehow revolves aroundSanta Claus Klawz and whatnot, but I was not expecting it.
But it's Alison Aimes and the writing is both strangely good for its length/contents and also weirder than I've ever encountered before.

A truly captivating monsters and maiden sacrifice, very different spin on the story
This is a simply wonderful read that I guarantee will hold you captivated and I guarantee that you will thoroughly enjoy the characters along with a actual story plan as well which I guarantee will hold you completely riveted to the scenario within this simply amazing read.
It has been said that that usually the monsters are paid their prize being an unfortunate maiden, however sometimes the monster has been known to take the maiden as his own prize and keep her for himself to enjoy at his own time and means of pleasure.
A lonely female who is unaware of the monster’s true heritage and his need for maidens he is surprised when he si summoned and discovers that the female is an innocent and is in danger, she is not aware that that unleashing him onto the world could prove to be very dangerous.
I guarantee that you will thoroughly enjoy this marvellous book and that you ill be captivated by the story and will have to read the boo in one sitting and discover the final outcome.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

4 terrific🌟's for Gifted to the Beast
This was a different ale from Allison Aimes. I was introduced to her when I read the condemned series and I really enjoyed then so I took a chance on this book. Overall I really enjoyed it, I do feel there could have been more world building it kind of felt like I was dropped into the middle of a story and I'm missing a few pieces. I love the characters of Klawz and Holly. Klawz is being held against his will and his power Corrupted by what looks like some cult. His rage and anger are slowly taking over his reason and good judgment. He hears a female voice over and over and thinks that this person too wants to use and destroy him. Holly abandoned at birth never fitting in and never cared for she doesn't know anything about her past. When she sets off on her own bad individuals try to take advantage of her and the beast from her dreams show up to rage and save her. But is she saved? from the beginning Klawz seems more devil monster than then what he actually is and Holly seems more innocent and angelic than her character actually is. This story takes on a perfect twist that makes both of them A perfect fit for one another. Its a solid read that just needs a bit more world building. So let me start out by saying, I absolutely love everything by this author. The creativity, awesome characters and plots are some of the best I’ve ever read. This book was no different and man there was a major plot twist I never saw coming towards the end. It literally made me have to rethink every assumption I’d made throughout the book. The characters draw you in and keep you interested in their struggles throughout the book. The torture the beast suffers, his anger and abilities were so original. I can’t say I loved his “appearance” but loved his heart. Holly has problems of her own, abandoned and alone, she falls prey to the darker side of men. When these two meet, it’s explosive! Sometimes you’re not the only monster in the room and like Klawz says, “ if you find someone whose demons play well with yours, do whatever it takes to make her your own” this is a book where he does exactly that. Sacrifices will be made, discoveries come to light and we’ll see if they can survive the evil that stalks them. Buy this amazing book!

Holly grew up with a couple who never coddled or cuddled her after being found abandoned at a church as an infant...all her life she was plagued with a feeling of she should be more and had dreams of someone who could protect and love her...having imaginary conversations with the being...Klaws was a beast with broken wings who was used as a punisher by people who captured him eons before, the last of his kind, whose magic wasn't strong enough to escape his imprisonment...but one day he was summoned by a magic even stronger than his bonds and went onto another plane of existence, where he found Holly, being attacked after a freak storm killed her caretakers and she went to city, now having to fend off several attackers...but whose magic is stronger?? How did Holly summon him when she didn't know her gift or where she came from??? Who is the demon and who is the angel??? You will need to read this tale to see what happens...

Holly has had a rough life. Being abandon and then having to make her way in the world that is cold and cruel. She is just a little girl, woman, from Kansas. The big city isn’t the place for her. But dark dreams with a fantasy alien is always in her thought. When things go horrible wrong, she wishes for someone to save her. Klawz has been tormented by his jailers as well as this one human woman that he keeps dreaming about. When a chance opening draws him in, he finds himself saving her. But what does she want? And who is she? I wasn’t too sure who Holly was or what these to mean for each other but BOY THAT was not what I expected. I am loving the story. There was a surprising twist which I didn’t expect. I liked it. I always enjoy a good alien beast romance but this one is fun and within the Christmas spirit. We have some naughty and some oh so nice.
