Littles & Lace #6

Josh’s Jackpot

Rate this book
A Daddy, a dom, and a Little walk into The Grove. What could go wrong…or right?

Detective Josh Walker has been walking a tightrope, suspended between his deepest desires and what he feels people expect from him. Add an embarrassing condition and a punishing job, and it’s a recipe for disaster. After all, he’s convinced he will only ever be accepted for bratty scene play, and no Daddy will ever want him as a forever Little.

Emmett Reid has been secretly crushing on his boss’s younger brother. With twenty odd years between himself and Josh, he knows it’s a pipe dream. At least, that’s what he thinks until a night at The Grove, the city’s premier BDSM club, brings him up close and personal with Josh…and throws in a wild card in the form of one smoking hot -if kind of short- blonde dom. Then, suddenly, he can’t get either man out of his head.

Meanwhile, Max Dalton’s been telling himself that he messed up with Josh six years ago and he isn’t going to repeat those mistakes. Besides, he’s a dom, not a Daddy. How could that even work? But when he finds himself playing co-Daddy with Emmett -smoking hot counsellor extraordinaire- Reid for a night, a whole world of possibilities open up before his eyes.

Will Josh believe that he deserves not only one Daddy, but two? How on earth are they going to manage a three-way friends-to-lovers relationship anyway? And, worse, what is Charlie -Josh’s brother, Max’s former partner, and Emmett’s boss- going to say??

CW – Buckle for a ridiculously sweet MMM romance, this one has a few trigger warnings. While this is a low-angst, sweet & cute, instant-attraction romance, this book contains brief mentions of gun violence, kidnapping/abduction, guilt complexes, middle-child inadequacy, insecurity, anxiety, nightmares, bed wetting, and panic attacks. This book is an MMM Age Play/Age Regression romance between consenting adults and does include ABDL and wetting. This book contains elements that are suitable for ages 18 and over.

Their love for each other comes fast and easy, you can say it’s insta, but it’s all convincing and sweet. The three of them fit so well especially with them being Daddy, Dom and Little. I love that they can compromise easily with each other to satisfy their own needs while enjoying their relationship. I didn’t find the sex hot but that’s just a personal thing, I don’t like sex so much hahahah but I appreciate their balanced dynamic between sexual and romance relationships. I believe a lot of characters in the BDSM community can appreciate romance > sex despite the lifestyle being sex-oriented. I looooooove it sm.

AND THEY USED SAFEWORDS! I LOOOOVE BDSM BOOKS THAT DONT SHY AWAY FROM THAT GIVE ME MOREEEEEEEE

I’d give this a 4 if the drama didn’t bore me so much. I don’t enjoy the family drama in this book. I already have so much going on IRL I don’t need to read another crowded one. It’s not my cuppa so I don’t really feel anything reading it. The climax also felt off and forced. I woulda like this better if it’s focus entirely on the relationship rather than this forced plotline drama climax at the end. The climax was quite repetitive as if the author ran out of idea near the end. And it focused too much on the side characters I was actually fed up hahahahah

Low angst,sweet and cute, instant-attraction age-play romance.

The title fits to perfection, because I definitely feel like I hit the jackpot after reading this lovely story.

Josh’s Jackpot has all my favorite qualities of a good age-play — the hurt/comfort, the caretaking and sweet moments, and, of course, filthy & scrumptious smut.

Josh, Emmett and Max really do complete each other and seeing them together was so adorable, I couldn’t stop smiling while reading. I could’ve read 20 more chapters of their love story and not get tired for how much I loved them.

This one has to be my favorite of the series, so without a doubt a win for me.

CW and NSFW info (spoilers):
- Age-play and ABDL
- Age gap
- MMM (2 daddies + 1 little)
- Anxiety and panic attacks
- Size difference
- Orgasm denial
- Frotting
- 2 switches and 1 bottom
- Cock-warming
- Chastity cage
- Plush toy play 🥵❤️‍🔥

Book safety, content warnings, and tropes & tags down below.

He’s not the firstborn child. He’s not the only daughter. He’s not even the baby. He has probably been fighting for attention his whole life.

Josh’s Jackpot might be my favorite in the series. I’ve loved every book so much, and this one was no different. I am still very new to reading MM+, but the MMM worked so well with these characters. Considering none of the MCs were in an existing relationship with each other, I’m really impressed by how the author made it work. They all knew each other at least a little bit, and kinky relationships definitely help build trust and a connection faster than a ‘vanilla’ relationship might.

I’m also one hundred percent certain that Josh realizes the effect he has on Emmett, because he bats his lashes and brings the ear of his bear up to partially cover his face, enacting a full-on cuteness assault.

At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about the suspenseful subplot, but it actually worked really well in showing how the dynamics between all three MCs worked, and it helped highlight why they all needed each other. They were really good at communicating their needs and wants, which also helped a lot. I enjoyed seeing two of the men pairing off and having some good ‘ol fun together when the third wasn’t available, which surprised me a little. I thought I wouldn’t enjoy that at all, but their communication made it a non-issue. I do wish we got more scenes on-page with Josh and only one of his Daddies, but there’s a limit to how many sex scenes you can have during a book, lol. It’s actually been a lot of fun to see how the author’s explicit scenes have improved from book to book. This one was really hot.

I’m also impressed by how well handled/written Josh’s issues with bed-wetting and nightmares was, both by the author herself and by the characters around Josh. His character overall made me tear up multiple times. He made me incredibly emotional sometimes.

I’m looking forward to see what she writes next.

Not that being a dom is about the control or power. If that’s how a dom looks at it, they need to take a step back and re-evaluate.

And I suppose the other Littles in our circle are trying to get me to talk, too, but… well, have you ever tried having a deep and meaningful conversation with a bunch of people who are mentally aged five and under?

Our usual roles in kink and in the bedroom don’t negate human responses to trauma, or loss, or grief. A good dom can show weakness. Can cry.

A double Age-gap (~20yrs) MMM Daddies/Boy Age-play romance with crushes, mature characters, all the feels, emotions & sweetness, great friends (+ fam), & a tinge of action! Happy to have gotten the #ARC, devoured (more like savored) this in 8hrs! Love Josh, Emmett, Max; this is now part of my favs!

Josh is a 25yr old buff police officer & a Little, he wants his forever daddy but has an image of "scene little", I felt a kinship & my heart hurt for him. He's sweet, hardworking, fun, bratty. Max is in 40s, J's cop brother's older ex-partner, J had a crush on him, they'd shared one intense yet platonic night 6yrs ago. As a dom, M doesn't feel deserving of J...until now, can't see J hurt. Emmett's a counsellor, in his early 50s, very big & broad 😘, J's bro's his boss. Em's a daddy, got a crush on J! They're dominating yet soft, so caring 💞.

How can Em & Max stay away when J's stressed, needs them? They can't! As events lead them together, they're so mature & talk. Their relationship leaned more to lower angst, fast-paced & I loved it. Steamy vers action by daddies, the kinky & sexy times are hot🔥 & intimate. That climax is kickass! I loved these 3, so caring, thoughtful.

Amazing story, loved the friends & J's fam (however crazy!), The only qualm is, I NEED SO MUCH MORE. Bonuses about some hinted-to kinky times, the dates...!! Please! I've Anna's books on tbr, but this is my 1st! RTC.

Now this is how you end a series! I knew Josh’s story would be amazing. In fact it was my favorite of the whole series. I especially liked that there were some twists and things I saw happening differently then they did. That made it even more fun to read. The emotions are so strong and deep too. That’s what I love most about this author. As a reader who thrives on the characters and emotions in a book, it’s great to read an author who always hits strong with those. Even though I’m sad to be saying goodbye to this series I can’t wait to see what Anna Sparrows comes up with next. Thank you to both the author and GRR for having this up for review. I received an arc and am happily leaving an honest review.

Very sweet like all the others in this series. Glad I had a little break since last reading these as the stories are very similar, everything very easy and sweet. Some light (very light) kink despite having a Dom in the mix, the kinkiest park was the teddy bear action.

I want to start this review by saying this is my first ever ARC read, and I couldn’t be more excited!

I’ve been dying to get my hands on this book!

When I read the first 5 books, I’ll be honest: Josh didn’t stand out; I was so focused on the main characters that he was just a pleasant side character; that was until the last book. Seeing how everyone was so suddenly worried about Josh out of the blue made me rethink his presence throughout the series.

How could his brother and his friends not see he was breaking?

Anyway, when I finished the last book and read the prolog for this one, I was hooked from the very start. I’ve been literally dreaming and pining for this one. Josh needs love and support! And seeing that scene from his side (which I always felt like no one cared about him anyway, which bothered me in that book) was heartbreaking. Then the rest of the prolog…I couldn’t. I still can’t with the beauty and heartbreak of it.

That being said, now you know where I stand before I start. Here We Go!

Okay okay. Josh. My baby boy. I can’t. It hurts. His pain is so real. The first crack in the armor with Emmet left me in tears! Then red, and my heart broke.

Omg.

My heart broke yet again and then was mended... “You’ve got two” 😩😭 #goals

Honestly, the emotional roller coaster is both torturous and wonderful.

The dinner. I have never felt so seen before. Stealing his thunder! I wanted to murder everyone! Josh is a light, and the people around him (not his daddies) keep snuffing him out!!!

Also, the plot twist. I was shocked. 🤯

The ending was utter perfection.

Overall, this book was 10/10. Each character was so beautifully full of life and personality. All the pain and fear Josh had was so beautifully expressed and loved through by his daddies. Josh’s neediness, brattiness, and vulnerability balanced Max’s willingness to accept and move on (outside that one thing he would budge from, but that’s beside the point here), and his love for punishment and praise, which was balanced by Ems’s steady heart, kindness, softness, and cleverness hehe.

Utter Perfection.

Usually, with BDSM books, especially DDLB books, I want more kink; honestly, this was everything. I mean, you can never have too much kink, but this definitely left you fulfilled.

The kink was top-tier, and the love was unconditional.

I hope I can be someone’s SpiderMonkey one day 💙

This book is love goals 💙

Ps - I would’ve loved an accident wetting scene and flogging scene like they talked about a few times, but that’s all I felt would be great to have outside of the perfection it was 🤷🏽‍♀️

I literally read this book two months ago. Despite my fish-like memory, I surprisingly remember some key points from the book and what was my feeling about most things. However, I must admit that this review may not be the most reliable as it is more of a rant than a structured analysis.

First of all, I went into this book without knowing it was a polyamorous relationship. By the end of chapter one, I did not want Max to be the daddy; didn't like him. So when I saw that the second chapter was from Emmett's pov, I was relieved. But then, in the third chapter, I saw Max's name right beside it, and I literally said, "What the fu(k is Max doing here? WAit, oh he!l WAIT! Two daddies? Polyamory? he!l yes! Now I am ten times more excited to read this. A bratty little needs a dom AND a daddy!" I was so excited to see how that would play out. I was praying that the author wouldn't mess this up, and oh boy, did they deliver! My wet dream was a polyamory without so much miscommunication. They have an electrifying connection that is truly special. It's like they complete each other in the most amazing way.

When

As for everyone else pushing the brat persona too hard onto him, I realized that a bit earlier in the series and it annoyed the sh!t outta me.
I wanted Josh to have his HEA right into book two, but the author keeping him to the very last made it that much more special. This book was my favorite of the series. Made me laugh the most.

*ARC book review. Received from GRR and this is my honest review*
4.5/5 🌟

FINALLY!! I have been on edge in need for Josh's story!
This was so sweet and heartwarming, Josh deserves the best HEA he went through a lot and suffers in silent and no one from his close friends is talking to him about how he changed. He got the best daddy and daddy dom to pamper and love on him.

Ever since Josh's brother Charlie got shot 6 years ago and he has been suffering in silence and embarrassed to tell someone other than his therapist in hopes she can find the reason behind his problem. Josh has the reputation of a bratty little and scene little only when in reality he wants the comfort of daddy and live in little lifestyle. Emmet, the psychologist and counselor at Charlie's BDSM community haven. Ever since he saw Josh he had a crush on him, but he didn't go for it since he's his boss younger brother, but one day Josh in desperate need of little time he finds Emmet in the club Grove and went to ask for a daddy for the night. Max, Charlie's ex job partner, he one time only stepped in as a daddy for Josh but ever since he can't get it out of his head. Now he sees Josh with Emmet and can't hold back any longer, he ends up inviting himself to their night.

This had so much going on and feelings from left and right! *New kink unlocked* never would have thought I would like stuffie play but damn! They together is hottest thing I have read in a while, and the this is so well written I teared up whenever Josh was sad. I didn't expect such a plot near the end but it added more action and brought them even more closer, and Josh's mom too surprisingly didn't make that big of a deal and his family acceptance.

Anna did an amazing job writing this and I can't wait to read more of her work!!

Highly recommend 💯

Charlie's police partner Max takes care of Charlie's bother Josh when Charlie is shot. In taking care of him, he allows Josh's "Little" side to come out and even though Josh has crushed on him forever, he tells him it can never happen again. Years later, Max and Josh both suffer from PTSD and Emmett enters their lives. They become a "throuple" with each providing something the other two need. Josh is the Little, Emmett the Daddy and Max the Disciplinary Daddy Dom. The two Daddies want each other as much as they both want Josh with Josh wanting both of them. It's hard for me to imagine this working out but they make it work. You can feel the love coming off the pages and Anna treated their grouping with such sensitivity and compassion with all their issues. I expected Josh's book with polyamory to be my least favorite of the series but instead, I loved it the most. The three guys together meld into one loving unit. It was well worth the wait for Josh's story. I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.

What an absolutely swoony read. I have been waiting so long for Josh’s story and it did not disappoint. He, Emmett and Max were such a great triad together. They worked so well with one another and complimented each other wonderfully.

Josh has always had a bratty side and I’ve always loved it. While I knew he was looking for a daddy, I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me that a dom would be an excellent addition to help round him out. Not only were Josh and Max great together, but Max and Emmett? Oof. Super hot. A daddy being dommed? I loved it so much.

This was a great read and an excellent wrap up to the series. If Anna Sparrows doesn’t write more stories about Littles, I’ll be so sad. I have enjoyed every single book in this series so much. Starting with Asher’s story, I knew I was going to be in for something good. I’m so glad I wasn’t wrong.

3.5 ⭐️ rounded up.

This book did not hit the way I wanted it to unfortunately but it is still a solid read. I always want to be honest when I’ve received an ARC and for me this one was anticipated but I didn’t feel like it was fleshed out enough. I wanted to see more talks with Josh’s brother and the rest of their found family. It felt like there was a resolution too easily after they treated him not in the best way in the past. I would have liked to see a little more groveling there and deeper talks about why they pigeon holed Josh in to one role. I also felt like the relationship moved forward too quickly. A little more chasing would have been nice.

I did like the relationship between the three men and felt like they fit together well. I wasn’t dying for more when the book ended though. I wasn’t particularly attached to the characters. However they were entertaining and I’m glad I read it. I would read another book from this author.

✨An ARC was exchanged for this review but all opinions are my own.✨

This series is awesome. Seriously, boys in this series have the best daddies ever. In this case, two daddies. Doesn't surprise me at all, since Josh is a handful and really does need two daddies to take care of him. While there was a lot more action and drama than I expected, it still fit into the story and their relationship. Building a poly relationship dynamic is complicated, so the extra action was a nice touch to show how they interact outside of the play time. As a bonus, it still stays true to the vibe of the series - sweet, adorable and with the most caring and devoted daddies ever.

- poly romance
- age play

MMM romances are pretty hit and miss for me just because a member of the polycule always seems to be left out, buuutttt I'm really happy to say that was not the case for Josh's Jackpot!

Josh, Emmett, and Max make a great cohesive unit, each of them work so well together and all balance each other out. Their story is sweet and fun, super low angst, and I loved every minute of it!

OMG! I have been waiting for Josh's story since I met him in Charlie and Ash's book. I couldn't put it down and read the whole book in one sitting (even though it was almost 300 pages long.) This book did not disappoint my hopes for Josh's happy ever after. Josh, Emmett and Max are probably my favorite out of all the books. If you have fallen in love with Josh like a lot of the rest of us you are going to love this!.

This is book 6 and the series and it brought out all the feels. Josh has finally accepted who he is and what he needs. The main characters all share a dynamic that brings out the best in each other. Friends become lovers, a Daddy is born and brattiness is tamed…somewhat ;) If you are looking for a low-angst HEA, check out Josh, Max and Emmet’s story!.

Josh’s Jackpot
Firstly, let me say I got this book from gay romance reviews, and this is me leaving my honest review.
This is a brand-new author to me, but I enjoyed the write up so I thought I would take a chance and I am so glad I did. But I’m absolutely gutted that this is books 6 in the series so I’m going to have to catch up. This book is beautiful. There was so many tender moments in this book That my husband just kept asking why do you keep sighing? And the only answer I could give was this book is so good.
We’ve got Josh who is a detective which is an extremely stressful job and his way of coping with that is he regresses back, to be a little enjoying the simple things in life, like building blocks and like drawing a picture, but the only thing he hasn’t got is a daddy and that’s partly down to his own fault because throughout the years he said he didn’t need the lifestyle he just needed to do scenes that would get him through. He has an amazing group of friends and an older brother Charlie who are all in committed daddy/little relationships. Six years ago his brother Charlie was a cop, but he got shot on duty and it ended his career but in the long run, it worked out perfectly for Charlie, but that night Josh struggled to come to terms with his brother being shot And Max, who was Charlie’s cop partner gave Josh comfort, even though Max is a Dom and not a daddy he knew that Josh needed to go somewhere, and just be himself, just let go, but he felt he took advantage of Josh, even though nothing happened other than Max, feeding him and putting him into bed he still felt like he had taken advantage of Josh so the next day when Josh kissed him Max put a stop to it straight away. And through the last six years, they have seen each other in the station, because Max is still a cop, but they don’t speak. Just a quick nod and move on with their day. Josh goes to a club called the Grove. That is a kink club split into different areas for individual kinks and this is where he goes to be with his other little friends, but as he look looks around, he sees all his friends with their daddies and Josh, he’s longing for somebody to take care of him and one night when he is very stressed, he finds daddy Emmett who is a psychologist who works with Charlie (his brother). Em realises straight away that Josh needs a daddy and quickly asks if he wants to go home with him so he can have privacy, and Josh said yes.
Emmett had been watching Josh for awhile, but he didn’t think he was the right daddy for him, because Josh was known in the club as the bratty boy who likes to do scenes and get punished. When Josh walks over to him, and starts crying Em realises that he is longing for something else and decides to help him after and if Em is honest he was wanted Josh for a while. As Josh gets changed and they go to leave the club they walking into Max who is in his Dom clothes When he sees that Josh has been crying, he quickly comes to his rescue and asks where they’re going. Em introduces himself, and if honest Emmett likes what he sees in Max, which confuses him and tells Max they’re going to his house, and Max asks if Josh wants him to go with him. And Josh says yes, and Em says that’s fine and that is where the story starts between these three amazing men who connect straight away who know what they want and are very honest with what they want and what they don’t want, but could they find happiness as a threesome????
Well, let me tell you this book is seriously hot, the connections that they have for one another run very deep and that’s what I really enjoyed about this book. It wasn’t about out doing one another. It wasn’t about being selfish. It was about being yourself and being accepted for who you are. Now don’t get me wrong. This book is extremely hot and I wouldn’t read it on the train that’s for sure ( blush) but there is a storyline that goes on within the book and I really wish that I had read the previous books in this series, so I could know the group of friends and Charlie better and Josh’s family, but I wasn’t disappointed I was blown away with this book and I cannot wait to read more from Anna Sparrow. Are you really a fantastic read and I can’t wait for the next book.

Josh’s Jackpot by Anna Sparrows is the 6th book in her Littles and Lace series. Josh is a police detective but is also a Little. He is very frustrated because he has watched his friends find their forever Daddies and he has been categorized as a “Bratty Scene Little” which, while he can sometimes be bratty, is not correct because he also wants to find his forever Daddy. He also has a “problem” that he is very embarrassed by. Max is a policeman and is friends with Josh’s older brother and was once his partner until Charlie got shot. He is a Dom but also feels guilty and blames himself for what happened to Charlie, even though there was nothing he could have done. Emmett is a psychologist who works for Charlie at the center he founded after he couldn’t return to police work. Josh has had a crush on Max for a long time, even though it was shut down when his brother was shot. Emmett has also noticed Josh at The Grove, the kink club they belong to. One night they all meet there and when Josh admits he is looking for a Daddy for more than a scene and is undone by it they all go back to Emmett’s house where he has a nursery. But there is an issue about bedtime that sends them home. Then Josh gets shot (a graze). When he is released from the hospital they all go back to Emmett’s where he is taken care of by both men and they find out about his bedtime problem. As the story continues they get to know each other more and realize they are what all 3 of them need as they bring balance to their relationship and they decide to be a throuple. Then something happens to Max that brings home what they mean to each other and when he is saved they admit their love and resolve to be together. I enjoyed this story and found it quite interesting that a big strong policeman could regress into a small child, complete with temper tantrums, which made it somewhat unique. Josh could be strong when he wanted to be but also worried about becoming Little when it wasn’t a good time. He also felt he wasn’t lovable by a Daddy so it was wonderful when he found not one, but 2 Daddies who wanted him. Max was also vulnerable and often consumed by guilt. He was also a Dom and wasn’t sure how he could fit in and get his needs met, but Josh and Emmett showed him the way. Emmett was a big teddy bear but also a wonderful Daddy. He was worried that he may be too old for the other two men, but they showed him he wasn’t. When they finally got together they had many very hot love scenes. Josh’s family as well as their friends also added to the story. When something happened to Max it was angst filled and suspenseful and it had a great feel good ending when it was resolved. I highly recommend this story, especially if you like M/M/M Daddy/Boy stories with strong characters and some angst and suspense along the way. It has all those elements and won’t disappoint.

I. LOVE. THIS. BOOK. I am kicking myself that it has taken me this long to review this book. Especially, as I read it weeks ago as an alpha reader. I loved it so I'm sure that the finished polished book is 10x better. I fell in love with Josh even before his book was ever written so it was inevitable that this would become my favourite read of the series.
Seriously. If you don’t mind dipping your toes into kinky MM…M, DD(x2 lol)LB goodness, or if you just want to try the genre out. Go read these books. Then when you get to Josh’s Jackpot (Sobs in "last book in the series") and you love this much as much as I do…you can come back here and thank me later. Then I will bow and stick my tongue out at Anna Sparrows and say I told you so because this book rocks.
Joshie. My love. My bub. I have wanted this bratty boy’s book for months. I was so expecting him to be a naughty pain in the arse (In a loveable way) Why did he end up being so sweet and squishy...90% of the time. *tehe* I lived for it. OMFG. I love that during the whole series, you really do see this persona that he puts on for everyone else, and in his POVs during his book you saw how it was partially a mask and how much he wanted that love and that tender touch.
Memmet and Maxxie. Firstly, YAY for diversity. That made me happy. Secondly, these two guys are my favourite Daddies in the series. (Sorry London xx) I love the care and the attention they have for Josh but also the fluid way they come together as a pair. They are all the other’ missing pieces if that makes sense. Also, the way they are both so accepting of Josh’s condition makes me swoon.
Looooved that it started with a flashback. It felt like a full circle moment (Sobs "in last book of the series" x2). Max and Josh figuring it out together. Aweeeeeee. *Imagine my face as the aw emoji right now because that is exactly what is going on*
How dare Anna write that another Walker brother got shot. Simply unforgivable. ALSO, KIDNAP???? I was panicked so much in this book that I literally had to check myself. Remind myself that this is an Anna Sparrows book and it’s all sweet and mushy at the end and…gurl its fictional.
I loved Josh being all cute, but I always love me a bratty boy too, so I liked that the moment that he was comfortable enough with his Daddies to push and act up just a lil lil bit. Can we please give a round of applause for Emmett’s methods of punishment?!
I don’t really know how to round up this review because I could go on and on about this book forever. In fact, I have. Every post I have seen about this book I have hopped on underneath to say so isn’t this book great and I will continue to do so! So don’t mind me if you see me out in the wild expressing my love for this book! Go start it!

Josh's Jackpot is a menage/polyamorous romance which is book six of Anna Sparrows Littles and Lace. It is about a trio who are in the BDSM lifestyle, each having their own kink which is explored in the book.

This can be read as a standalone with characters from previous books turning up frequently but I had plenty of context to understand the friendship group. The reason I've not read the rest of the series is that I really need to be in the mood and the blurb really needs to appeal to me. It sounds like a joke, but for me I need a BDSM themed book with a plot, not just one scene after the other of kinky times.

Josh is a detective, he loves his job but he also a Little at heart, he tends to regress into Little Space when he is stressed. However, he is upset and frustrated because unlike most of his friends, he still hasn't found his Daddy. But there was also a Dom, years ago, who had affected him so much but had also broken his heart. Now is Josh's moment, as his mental anguish threatens to overwhelm, there are two men that could be his.

Emmett Reid is a psychologist and a counsellor, but he is also a Daddy and works to ensure the mental safety everyone at the Little centre in The Grove - the biggest and best BDSM club in the city. He has noticed Josh for a long time, but Josh is his boss's little brother. However, Emmett has noticed the sadness and need in Josh and is ready to throw caution into the wind. Then he meets Max, a Dom who also knows Josh and has been drawn to him for years. Max and Josh have history, especially because Max was once Josh's older brother's partner on the police force.

Josh is a sweet but strong man, but he has been neglected for a long time. He blends into the background with his family and his job means he always needs to project a facade of calm and absolute strength. Max and Emmett are drawn to Josh for different reasons, but ultimately they want to take care of him. I really loved the different dynamics for Josh/Max, Josh/Emmett and Emmett/Max. These guys fit together so well, as it was mentioned in the book, they balance each other out. And while Max and Emmett look after Josh's needs as a Little, Emmett and Josh also show care for Max's needs as a Dom, though he does not identify as a Daddy.

This was a beautiful and well executed story. I was immediately invested as Josh, Emmett and Max as a throuple, because all three guys deserved a happily ever after.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Josh's Jackpot is the last book in the Littles and Lace series, but it is the first one I've read and can be read as a standalone.

I have read and enjoyed quite a few Little books, but never one which features a Little, Dom and a Daddy (usually there will be only one Daddy) and it was really interesting and lovely to see how Emmet (the Daddy) and Max (the Dom) defined their dynamics around Josh (the Little).

I loved how all the men realised very early on that their relationship can only work because there are three of them. Emmet needs Josh to fulfill his desire to take care of someone; Max needed Josh to fulfill his need to be a Dom (a soft Dom, but a Dom none the less); Josh needed the discipline and punishment that Max can provide with the structure and nurturing that Emmet can give. Emmet needed Max's strong Dom side to ensure that he doesn't spoil Josh and Max learned so much from Emmet's soft, caring nature.

I appreciated that both Emmet and Max immediately saw that Josh's bratty behaviour was a call to be loved and cared for - to be the center or someone's attention. It showed that they understood him at a very fundamental level.

Even though there is a bit of a drama the book is pretty low drama with the focus being on the caretaking and sweeter moments of the three men finding out how to create their version of HEA. The way that they were able to communicate their needs and feelings, especially when Josh was in his Little Space was lovely to read and really helped me to understand what each character was going through.

The inclusion of Josh's bedwetting and nightmares was handled so well - the shame and trauma that he felt due to his condition made me tear up; but the way Emmet and Max handled it was so incredibly supportive and kind!

Clearly, I'm in the minority because this book was not it. Spoilers ahead

Listen, you can't claim that a book is low angst and then list off that content warning. I must have misread the warning. I thought there would be a small mention of kidnapping...not one of the main characters being kidnapped!!

This was not a sweet, low angst read. Beyond the content warning, you have weird drama with Josh's family. Max basically changing personalities on the fly when they all meet and decide to go to Emmett's house. The kidnapping at 70% and a weird rushed ending with a snore of an epilogue.

I agree with another reviewer. I wish this book was about their relationship than the forced story line with Max's kidnapping, etc. It added absolutely nothing to the story. It didn't help resolve any conflict. If anything, it added undo stress on the characters and the readers.

This book made me dislike Josh. Nothing in his character came across as submissive. Even his brattiness felt like topping from the bottom. He never seemed to regress unless he was under an insane amount of stress. The bed wetting and nightmares were understandable, but it seemed we never got any of the relationship building. They went from a faint hint of attraction to Josh watching Max and Emmett the first night they're in the same house together.

The rest of the book was either Josh as a little or them dealing with drama. Yes, they worked different shifts, etc., but I don't remember a single date. Either there wasn't one, or the rest of the story detracted from that and I've forgotten it already.

For me, this failed as a storyline and it was a weird way to end a series. Maybe a few moments with Josh as a little and his daddies felt sweet, but the rest was exhausting. Don't get me started on the baby talk. I'm not sure why, but it made me cringe.

Rinpet will tell you that Daddy/little is my favorite kink to read. This book just didn't do it for me and the overall series was just kinda meh.

Josh's Jackpot was the perfect ending for this group and for our sweet Brat, who really was just a lonely baby who needed not 1 hug, but 2. Oh Joshie, such a sweet baby angel! My heart breaks for him for all the years he spent being cast aside and feeling less than important than the others around him, and even putting others feelings ahead of his own at his own detriment. 🥺🥺🥺

It's true, Max evens out Emmett and Josh... Emmett evens out Max and Josh... and Josh evens out Max and Emmett...

Speaking of Max and Emmett... 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵 holy hell. Listen... I love a top/top moment... but throw in a spark no one can deny, aggressive hot kisses while being pressed against a wall, and having your little watch with his teddy bear..... 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵 MA'AM !!!!! AND THEN THE SILK?!?! JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

But the true love and trust Max, Emmett, and Josh have for one another is next level. Max being new-ish to the daddy thing trusts Emmett's lead wholeheartedly, and it turns Max into the perfect daddy-dom. In return, Emmett has learned from Max how to now be such a push-over (that's what he wants you to think.... he's still a pushover when those doe eyes appear from under the lashes). It's phenomenal to have seen them work through some pretty tough topics, building trust by being so open and honest with each other. It was beautiful.

Josh's Jackpot is a 5/5 ⭐️ and exactly how a series should end. (Even if I'm dying for more lol) I couldn't put this down at all. The series is one of my top recommended series for a reason... this group of kinky friends is truly magical and imperfectly perfect. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

Detective Josh Walker has been walking a tightrope, suspended between his deepest desire for a forever Daddy and what he feels people expect from him being a bratty little. Add an embarrassing condition and a punishing job, and it’s a recipe for disaster. Daddy Emmett Reid has been secretly crushing on his boss’s younger brother. With twenty-odd years between himself and Josh, he knows it’s a pipe dream until a night at The Grove, the city’s premier BDSM club, brings him up close and personal with Josh and then throws in a wild card in the form of one smoking hot blonde dom. Then, suddenly, he can’t get either man out of his head. Meanwhile, Dom Max Dalton’s been telling himself that he messed up with Josh six years ago and he isn’t going to repeat those mistakes. When he finds himself playing co-Daddy with Emmett for a night, a whole world of possibilities opens up before his eyes. Will Josh believe that he deserves not only one Daddy but two? How on earth are they going to manage a three-way friends-to-lovers relationship anyway? And, worse, what is Charlie -Josh’s brother, Max’s former partner, and Emmett’s boss- going to say??

This story had a nice mixture of a sweet story of love and passion mixed into some danger and drama. It was fun to have the actual and found family drama mixed into the story. It was easy to pick up the emotions, thoughts and feelings of the characters in the story. I loved that everything was clear and that they realised that communication was key to their combined relationships. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MMM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB and D/s dynamic.

This was a new to me author, discovered through Amazon’s recommendations. It was good but not really what I expected.

The description says “While this is a low-angst, sweet & cute, instant-attraction romance, this book contains brief mentions of gun violence, kidnapping/abduction,…”
I wouldn’t call a proper kidnapping scene of one of the MC a BRIEF mention is kidnapping. I suddenly felt like I was reading a mafia romance. I do love them but I also love knowing that I’m going into them they are not low angst stories. Here it starts with a very easy going romance between the 3 MC (things work so well immediately for the throuple it’s a bit too much IMO) and then bam one of the guy gets kidnapped o_O That’s a weird change of pace for a “low angst” book.

Also the story with Josh’s family felt really useless to me. Didn’t care about them I admit.

I usually love romance’s epilogues but this one didn’t bring anything to the story: we learn that they moved in together which we already see in the last chapter (and was basically like that during the whole book anyway since we never even see Josh and Max’s houses) and that they got tested. I don’t even know why it took them so long to get tested and declare they wanted to be exclusive when they were already very serious about each other but whatever 🤷‍♀️

And one thing that bugged me is that we have a Dom character but we don’t see much of it in the end. I could have done without the family chapters and have them explore this part more.
