I wish I remembered who recommended this to me so I could thank them, because this is truly gorgeous. It took me a little while to get into it, but I loved how narrative the poems were, and how infused with love they are, especially towards the end.

Vibes!

In Orange September, Jasmine Farrell gives voice and energy to a collection of poems that feels as warm and cozy as a snuggly blanket in fall. What I loved most about this book of poetry is the authors ability to open herself and spill the beans with regard to her willingness to love and be loved. Thank you to NetGalley for the gifted copy.

This is no ordinary love that fills the space on these pages but instead very personal and intimate experiences that I resonate with in many ways. There's a little bit of everything packed neatly within each line; love, passion, sensuality, romance, and finding healings. I have been literally wowed. I highly recommend this collection. The energy behind it is just amazing!

I loved the overall feeling of this book. You can tell just how much in love the author is with their partner, it shines through her poetry. This collection feels like lounging on the couch with a glass of wine enjoying your favorite romance movie.

Though verging on the saccharine at times, this collection of poetry is warm and cozy and hopeful about love in a really refreshing way, earning its title. Many of the poems have a spoken word vibe, and the theme of months and seasons reappear and weave through the variety of formats to create a varied but complete whole.

Orange September reads like a diary, a love letter, a monologue to one self, a story. The reading journey visualise this love story like a movie, like you are in their headspace through the ups and downs. It is an interesting point of view of writing, however the writing is about average to my liking, I would still recommend this if you'd like a short love story written in modern poetry.

The poetry isn’t fussy. The descriptions of love are relatable and ordinary. Sometimes love is like that and Farrell paints a simple but pretty picture of just simply being in love.

I received a free copy of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
