"Sometimes letting someone go is the ultimate act of love."

Claire Nixon is a college student with a past full of secrets and heartbreak. She was saved once by her first love, and rock star, Chris Knight. But when she encouraged Chris to leave town to pursue his dreams, both Claire and Chris didn’t realize it would be the biggest mistake of their lives.

After a devastating year apart and thousands of miles of distance between them, Claire met sexy surfer Adam Parker. With his awful jokes and profound patience, he helped Claire pick up the shattered pieces of her broken heart for the second time.

But now Chris has returned and he is willing and determined to make Claire’s dreams come true—the same way she did for him when she let him go.

With Adam’s former girlfriend in the picture, Claire finds herself torn between the new, passionate love she shares with Adam and the love and family she shares with Chris.

In Bring Me Home, Claire was left with a very big decisions. After both Adam and Chris, put their hearts out there, she has to choose with whom she will stay with. I couldn't wait to start this book and find out. I've got to say that I was extremely happy with the fact that Claire took her time in choosing. She didn't rush it, quite a few weeks passed by before her heart was able to tell her who she really loved. I also liked that she wasn't one of those annoying indecisive characters that you see when faced in a situation like this. She handled it in a mature manner. You can really see how she has grown from the first book.

Well, I can't belive my guy ended up being the one she chose. I had always favoured him more, just slightly. It was hard to choose. Both guys were fantastic loving men. I'm kind of sad though, I know it's weird but if there was a way for them all to be together somehow, I would be so happy. Of course, that would never work. But I felt she was so great with Adam, and just as great with Chris. I've never had such a hard time choosing just one guy ever when it comes to "love triangles". I usually choose one and stick with him. But it was so difficult in this book. In the end my guy was chosen, so I am still happy with who she ended up with. I would have liked a bit more fight on the guy that was losing her, but it didn't happen. I was upset at first but I realize it was for the best. They had all changed so much during the course of the three books that their feelings for each other just weren't the same.

"Claire, the love of my life and mother of my child. The owner of my heart and soul and the inspiration for every song I write. If you ever doubt how much I love you, I'll always be there to remind you."

I loved that this book was in all of their POV's again, as well as some other characters. I love knowing what they were thinking during certain situations. I loved knowing how they were feeling because then I got why things happened the way they did. I felt for the man who lost but I am also so happy he ended up having a happily ever after too. I was happy for Claire and the man she chose because there were so many moments that you knew they were meant to be. I would have like her decision to have been made a little later in the book rather than so early on. But at least we weren't dying with finding out. I swooned, and melted. Both Adam and Chris did that to me. I loved how mature these men came to be, especially when compared to the beginning of this series. I loved some of the secondary characters. They were all very supportive and some even very honest. But they were always there for Claire when she needed them.

“There are moments in life, and they happen so infrequently that they tend to really stand out, when life hands you the gift of perspective. Sometimes, we forget to show our appreciation. Sometimes, we get our priorities mixed up. And, sometimes, we forget how far we’ve come. But life always has a way of nudging you to remind you about these important things.”

●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●  ●

The open adoption scenes tore at my heart strings. I can understand why Claire was so hesitant now to see her daughter. But I am so glad that she now had Chris to help her face her child. One scene in particular made me have tears in my eyes. It was just so beautiful to see Chris and Abigail interacting, and yet so heart breaking. I felt like Claire finally got the closure that she needed in that situation, as well as with everything in her past. Adam and Chris also got their closure in some way. They were able to heal, forgive, learn from their mistakes and move on, until they all got the Happily Ever After they deserved to have. The ending was really great but the epilogue was the best. There was an epilogue for each of the three main characters. It was really sweet and had my heart warming with joy for all of them. I was very happy with the outcome. It was wonderful ending to the series.

This book is about.... beautiful, painful, gut wrenching love.... the different kinds of love... old love, new love, a parents love, a child's love, unselfish love the sacrifices we make for love........ a belief, that in the end, love will find a way back to you..... ALWAYS...

6 years ago Jackie, Chris' mum, took Claire into her home and changed her life..... thank goodness there are people like Jackie in this world who foster children and give them the love and care they so need....

The Love triangle is resolved....... I can't say anymore..... Everyone has love in their life, so from that perspective things are... Yay!!!!! The characters all find healing and comfort in some way.... You'll have to read the book to discover who they find their healing with....

I love that we hear the POV of lots of characters.... I loved the music playlist...... it moved me as I listened and read.... the music enhanced the beauty of this story.

I have very mixed feelings about this series. On the one hand I really enjoyed and adored it; a beautiful heartfelt story... with love, loss, sadness, realization and a little bit of sex on the side... it made me smile, it made me cry... it sometimes gave me butterflies... it made me very happy but then at the end I felt a little disappointed and let down.... eeek... sorry....I have to add here that I wholeheartedly respect the direction the author took this story and I loved the journey, it just left me feeling a little sad.

It was painful for the characters and I felt that pain..... It felt unresolved to me...... That sinking feeling in your tummy... no, no, no, not good at all. Having slept on my thoughts.... my conclusion is that this book made me feel, feel and feel some more so, for me, that makes a wonderful story and my gorgeous reading buddy is very happy and content with the ending so don't let this put you off in any way.... hand on heart I really did enjoy it, I'm really glad I read it and I absolutely loved the emotions....it gripped my heart... I put myself in Claire's place and found it so very upsetting. The book reading experience was beautiful and lovely...

Ok let me start off by saying that I was disappointed that "my team" didn't win the girl. I knew from the beginning how the book would play out and who would end up with who. I still enjoyed the book and the epilogues were a good treat. The book didn't however have a whole lot of gut wrenching moments for me and I did not really feel an emotional connection to Claire and "her choice" I guess I am a bit torn with this book cause the writing was amazing and going into it I knew the possibility was high that I would not be ecstatic about Claire's choices, but I can't fault Cassia for sticking to her guns and knowing from the start how it would end. I still loved all the characters and love this author.

This book deserves at least ten stars. I could go more, but I'll go with ten.★★★★★★★★★★.

To start off I want to say extremely proud of Cassia I am, being one of her beta readers I know what she had to go through to write this book. I was there every single chapter, she poured her heart, soul, mind, everything into this book.
Read the book fully. Trust me. I promise you that you too will be happy with the outcome.

I am no longer this team, or that team. I love Adam. I love Chris. I love Claire. I'm team “everyone is happy, healthy, and where they need to be.” Now, that being said, there is so much going on in this book, so much happens. I don't even know where to start.

Claire finally meets her father. The crap Claire has had to go through her entire life in unbelievable. But, Claire is one of the strongest female characters to date, I believe. She grows so much from Relentless, to Pieces of You, and to Bring Me Home. This journey makes all parties in this book grow up, mature, move on, heal, everything. There are going to be some major shockers also. Some of these things you will probably never have guessed would happen. But they do, and they are truly blessings in disguise.

What else can I say? Jackie, wow. I love this lady, I wish I had a mother like her. She is damn perceptive, lol. Like, seriously, this woman should be a psychic in her spare time and so funny. Actually, this entire book was a riot.

Tissues, you will need A LOT of tissues for this book; especially the last few chapters of this book. I cried for like three chapters straight.

And that about sums it up I think. I'm crying a bit while writing this. It has been a very emotional ride; a wonderful journey I wouldn't trade for anything. So I pray you enjoy this book. And if for whatever reason you don't, please be respectful. It would break my heart if ya'll couldn't understand this story and message and trash it.

Enjoy ladies ❤❤❤❤

A LOT of quotes I loved ;-) :

"I'm afraid I'm too happy right now. I'm afraid that holding Abby will make me happier than I've ever felt and I'm afraid of what will happen if that's taken away from me forever. I'm afraid of being too angry to forgive you."

"I'm not trying to make you feel bad, I'm just being honest. I'm afraid of what this will do to us. As happy as I am to see Abby, I know that I'm not guaranteed another second beyond today with her. With you.... I don't want to lose you."

"When we are back together, I’ll help you study every day."

"Take it easy. This is a law office, not a bedroom.”

"You're a part of me that I will never forget. I love you so much.”

"Who do you belong to?"
"You…. I belong to you."
"You'll always belong to me."

"Claire, you only did what you thought you had to do to survive. And I know you, possibly better than I know myself. I knew you'd come around. I knew you'd stop blaming me. But, more importantly, I know you're going to stop blaming yourself. You need to forgive yourself more than you need my forgiveness."

"It's not our mistakes that define us. It's the lessons we learn that show our true character."

"You can curtsy on my dick."

"How about a little gratitude for the guy whose seed is sprouting inside of you?"

"Your grandmama's so bald, I can see what's on her mind. And right now I think she wants us to leave"

"I'm visiting the tenth circle of hell, but you're not allowed in here. I don't need any help. Go away."

"Cracking eggs might not be the best topic of conversation while you're down there."

"The universe hasn't been tossing us around, it's been tipping over on it's side to push us back together since the day we broke up. It's just taken us a while to stop fighting gravity."

"Only if making me waffles is code for making me scream."

"You'll have to change your name and move out of the country to get rid of me."

"I've been waiting a long time for today, to give you what I'm about to give you. And it's not an engagement ring, but it means a lot to me. I just want you to know how much love and pain went into this gift. This is me baring my soul to you."

"Good, because I'd just set it on fire and change the locks."

"Yes, but not anymore than I did yesterday when you told me about your craving for pig's feet."

"But if he tries to touch you, you have to promise you'll tell me. And then you'll have to promise to visit me in jail after I murder him."

"I think I needed you to show me that I do have it in me to forgive."

"I'm so happy to be home."

"I don't want to get my hopes up, but I'd be lying if I said that the idea of you carrying my baby doesn't make me want to jump in the air and click my heels together."

"That's because you're my real life hero."

"Because no matter what happens, you are loved. You are cherished."

"Wherever you go, I go."

"All three tests in one shot? That's talent."

"Like the happiest day of my life."

"Sometimes you don't know how much you love someone until you lose them."

"You'd better stop talking like that or I'm going to bend you over on of these tumbleweeds and give you a workout you'll never forget."

"I'm not dying. I'm trying to tell you that I can't wait to start our life together... as a married couple."

"To love is to destroy pain. I love your heart."

"The stars will wait for us."

I've endured the stench and the agony of my mother's death. I've battled the loneliness of not having a home. I've survived willingly handing over a piece of my soul to two complete strangers after losing the love of my life.

"Didn't mean to answer for you about the drink, but I don't trust this woman not to poison us."

"I love your heart…. But your body is a close second to your heart."

"I know you're not fragile. You're one of the baddest b^#@-es I know. I'd be in a mental institution if I were you."

"Life would be so much easier if we could just paint broad strokes of color over the ugly parts to make them beautiful."

"That's okay. Just stand up there and promise you'll never leave me again and I'll be happy with that."

"You just can't wait to give me that blowjob until later, can you?" …. "Nah, that can wait until later. And this present is much better since I'm not nearly as good at sucking dick as you are."

"Relax. It's just you and me the rest of our lives."

4.5... We'll Be Counting Stars

“Love is not black and white. It’s not even gray. Love is every shade of color in the spectrum, changing with every ray of light given and stolen.”

heart photos photo: Heart eye eyeheart.jpg

This is the third and final book in the series. It continues on from where Pieces Of You left off. Claire is taking some time to think and process everything that has happened in the last year. Both guys were so sweet and supportive of Claire....but halfway thru this book she did pick one guy and let the other one go....and I just wanted to clarify there is no love triangle....just a girl trying to figure out where her heart belongs??? I'm very happy with who she chose *wink*
I really enjoyed this book series and it does have a HEA.

Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby, I've been, I've been praying hard,
Said no more counting dollars
We'll be counting stars, yeah we'll be counting stars

I see this life like a swinging vine
Swing my heart across the line
In my face is flashing signs
Seek it out and ye shall find
Oh, but I'm not that old
Young, but I'm not that bold
I don't think the world is sold
I'm just doing what we're told
I feel something so right
Doing the wrong thing
I feel something so wrong
Doing the right thing
I couldn't lie, couldn't lie, couldn't lie
Everything that kills me makes me feel alive

I could write you guys an essay with all of the reasons I don't think my couple (Adam/Claire) is going to be endgame. Instead, I will just leave you with this -

description

** UPDATE: 8/8/2013 **

ARC provided by author.

The Shattered Hearts series will forever have a special place in my heart. I invested myself completely, as a reader and a person, into the lives of Claire, Chris, and Adam. I felt what they felt, I wanted what they wanted. As they came to term with their mistakes, I learned their lessons. I rarely connect so strongly with a series, but Cassia Leo has a way of tearing your heart apart only to put it back together again.

It's not the mistakes that define us. It's the lessons we learn that show our true character.

For me, this is the quote for the whole series. Shattered Hearts isn't about teams or even strictly about the relationships, it's about finding yourself through the rubble of your mistakes and building a foundation for the life you deserve.

To love is to destroy pain. I love your heart.

Claire is such a broken girl in Relentless and watching her evolve and grow has been an experience for me. She makes this beautiful transformation in Bring Me Home that will leave you breathless. We have seen "pieces" of Claire in the other two books, but now we finally get to see her whole and it is the most rewarding feeling ever.

Life would be so much easier if we could just paint broad strokes of color over the ugly parts to make them beautiful.

Overall, 4.5 STARS to BRING ME HOME. Thank you so much to Cassia Leo for letting us live this story and for sharing your words with us. I can't wait to devour every. single. book. that you write for us.

This book was so disappointing. I absolutely loved the first two books and I was so excited when this one came out early.

After reading Adam's first chapter, I knew instantly what was going to happen. This book is extremely predictable. I have been a team Adam fan since the first book. I am so happy how this ended for him as he is such a great guy and he ended up with the right person.

When I read a story I want to see the characters grow. There is no growth for Claire at all. She is a complete whiny pain in the butt in this book. I rolled my eyes and ended up skipping some parts because it was boring as hell. Probably because it was predictable. Her and Chris's decision about Abbi was bull too. I understand where they were coming from but they basically replaced her straight away.

As much as I would love to say, I would love to see Adam's story in a full book, I don't want that image ruined with a disappointing novel.

“Love is not black and white. It’s not even gray. Love is every shade of color in the spectrum, changing with every ray of light given and stolen. Sometimes you forget how much you love someone, until you realize their smile is like a spotlight shined on your heart.”

The anxiously awaited conclusion to the Shattered Hearts series is here at last and all our hopes and dreams for these beloved characters have finally come true. Whether you are ‘Team Adam’ or ‘Team Chris’, I promise you that you will be pleased with how this story ends. In my heart, there has never been any other way for this story to plausibly wrap up as every sign was there, whether you admitted it to yourself or not, that from the very beginning our heroine’s heart pointed in one direction and one direction alone. After much heartache, Claire takes control of her future by choosing the one who is her true home. This is a story of learning to listen to one’s heart, of loving freely, selflessly, without restraint, and not denying oneself happiness out of fear or self-doubt. It is also a story of forgiveness, of not allowing regret and guilt to taint one’s future, and learning that letting go of the past is sometimes the only way to move forward.

“To love is to destroy pain. I love your heart.”

Claire has had more loss and suffering in her young life than most people her age, having learned very early on that happiness is transient and that it takes very little to lose everything that matters in her life. Her decision to give her baby up has never stopped haunting her, her mind torn between wanting what is best for her baby girl and missing that last piece of her past with Chris. We find her at a crossroad, torn between two very different loves, representing two very different futures. Adam offers Claire a new beginning, free from the burdens of the past, a way to heal her heart without being reminded every single day of the sacrifices made. Chris is her heart, the man who has loved her since they were kids, the man she grew up with and who has watched her blossom from the frightened little girl she once was into a strong loving woman. I truly believe that Claire’s denial of her love for Chris stems more from her fear of loving someone so completely than not loving him enough. He has always been her rock, he helped her overcome the traumas from her past and showed her the true meaning of unconditional love.

“Who do you belong to?” he growls as he kisses my neck.
“You,” I breathe, a searing heat building inside me. “I belong to you.”

In this book, we find Claire finally allowing her heart to love without regrets, by embracing the woman she has become in spite of her past and forgiving herself for her mistakes. She has lived for so long mourning the loss of her mother’s love at such a young age and then punishing herself emotionally for abandoning her own baby. The man she ultimately picks frees her from the burden of that guilt and gives her the future she deserved all along.

“It’s not our mistakes that define us. It’s the lessons we learn that show our true character.”

Unfortunately, I cannot comment too much on the beautiful healing power of that love without undeniably confirming which man Claire ultimately picks, but I can say that our hearts are capable of loving in a myriad of ways. Some loves are driven by passion, some by habit, some by fear of the alternative, and some loves complete us and give our hearts the home they need to blossom fully. Claire finds that type of love. It was never a question of which man loved her more or loved her better – it was always a matter of which man Claire’s heart loved the most. Family is the one thing Claire has always needed to finally embrace happiness and the man her heart chooses to love represents that very thing.

“Where we love is home.”

This series has been one of the most surprisingly touching stories I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Even now, weeks after finishing it, I get all choked up while reminiscing some scenes from it. When I read the first book in the series, Relentless, I immediately loved the heroine and I was curious to find out how the story would unfold, but I cannot say it rocked my world. After reading the sequel, Pieces of You, I was so emotionally invested that I was prepared to fight the author for the ending I believed this heroine deserved. True story. Reading this beautiful conclusion to a most beloved series has been such an emotional experience for me – I was on the brink of tears too many times to count, each milestone in Claire’s journey to forgiving herself and learning to listen to her heart marking me deeply and forever making me trust this author’s intentions. It is apparent that Ms Leo had a very clear picture of this story in her mind and knew all along how the pieces would fit together as all the signs were there, from the very first book, regardless of how much we ignored them or didn’t consider them to be important. She did not leave any loose ends, she took care of every single character, gave them the ending they deserved and that fit them best. The triple epilogue alone makes reading the whole series worth the effort. Nothing is over-done, everything is intentional, and the result is fantastic.

This is a stellar conclusion to an outstanding series, one I would recommend wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a well-written heartwarming story that will make you reflect on your own definition of love, on its many degrees and what constitutes a fitting happy ending.

“In the depths of winter, I discovered in me an invincible summer. That’s you. Thank you for being my invincible summer.”

**SPOILERS**

Honestly! How many people can get pregnant in one book?
Honestly! How fast can two people move into a relationship?
Honestly! How can something be so unrealistic?

I will admit that because I didn't like who she ended up with...(Adam is freaking amazing) I do have harsher feelings towards this book, but it's not just that. This book was so rushed, everyone seemed to be having random sex and having babies. The author didn't take time to really build on the characters and let me fall I love with the story, instead everything was so fast, hence leaving the characters to have zero depth. This book could have been so great. I really enjoyed the first two so I am horribly let down.

Ps: I just have to say that I hate the fact that she got pregnant at the end. It was like she just forgot how sad she was about giving up her first child.....it was like she just replaced that baby with another. I seriously resent that.

*****WARNING : REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS*****

Thank you Cassia for writing such a heart warming book for ME, this third installment have a very special place in my heart. Children are made in heaven, and they're NOT supposed to be abandon by their own parents.

I cried a lot during the reading, especially when reading about how Claire's father, abandoned her. My daughter has her own issue with her father. Really, this one, touched my heart
“Love is not black and white. It’s not even gray. Love is every shade of color in the spectrum, changing with every ray of light given and stolen.”

Closing my eyes, I inhale the crisp, floral scent of her perfume. This is the scent I’ve come to associate with love. Just the idea of having Jackie back in my life again makes my throat ache

My Chris

I was "WRONG", shamelessly, I admit that I was WRONG!

I thought in a previous books, my heart swoon after one of male character, but once again, now I can see why Claire should chose her long lost love, a father of her daughter...

Chris love for her is content, strong, and he never stop loving her. Chris also a good father, and he's one helluva patient man! I'm in love with Chris Knight.

At this point, I don't care about Adam and Lindsay...my disappointment is, I don't think Lindsay need a line here...she's not important! And I don't give a shit about her!

Sometimes you forget how much you love someone, until you realize their smile is like a spotlight shined on your heart.

I cried over Abigail. I cried when they're finally decided to sacrifice their happiness for their daughter....

"I want her to be happy, but I want her to be happy with me. But if she can't be happy with me, then I just want her to be happy"

That is a REAL love of a Mother, and Claire proved that she's a damn good mother for Abigail.
I cried for them....

"If there's one thing I've learned recently, it's that sometimes let someone go is the ultimate act of love"

"Claire, the love of my life and mother of my child. The owner of my heart and soul and the inspiration for every song I write. If you ever doubt how much I love you, I'll always be there to remind you."

Swooooooooon....over Chris Knight!

I cried a lot during the finding of her Father, and cried so more with the quotes, really touched my heart in a special place.

I never talk about my dad because, as far as I’m concerned, he’s dead. I don’t want to know what kind of man abandons his own child.

The ending was beautiful, Chris was such a romantic guy. Ever!
Well, he's hot rock star...Claire was so lucky having him.
Their lovemaking...whoaaaa...was sooooo f***ing HOT!!!

I like the Epilogue, to be honest, I don't really care about Epilogue #1. Sorry Adam. I'm DONE with you.

I may be the melody of Chris’s soul, but Chris is my harmony. He is the one who fills my heart and soul with peace.

On Children
Kahlil Gibran

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them,
but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.

Finally the book has been published and I can express my thoughts! Seldom do you find a book that simply blows you away. These books are rare jewels and you treasure them. This is one of those books.

We have followed Claire's life in Relentless and Pieces of You. We have traveled this long and complex road with her toward maturity, achieving her self esteem, and coming to terms with her past decisions. It is now time for Claire to decide what her future should be and who she should spend it with.

Her feelings for Chris and Adam have been mixed. Deep down though, she knows which one would be the best fit for her. Also, after agonizing self discovery, Claire is finally aware who she really loves and for whom she would dedicate the rest of her life building their happiness together.

NO SPOILERS HERE! If you are one of those readers who have already decided which lover should be chosen by Claire, please be aware that Claire must in the end, decide what is best for her. She is a fictional character, but because of this gripping story, many readers have become so deeply involved in this story they forget to keep an open mind. Please enjoy this story and enjoy the fact that finally, all these characters will find the right path for them. Whether together or creating a new life full of love and joy with other people, this book will give them the conclusion that is right for each of them.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

A wonderful ending to a great series!

I want to thank Cassia Leo for the ARC. What do I have to say? Oh my goodness, it's the last of the series! So much goes on in Bring Me Home. I feel that I learned more about the characters in this installment. A lot of them come to peace with their issues. I did have my judgements about them in the previous installments, but they are trying to learn, accept, forgive and move on from what has happened in their pasts. I love that we not only have Claire, Chris, and Adam's point of view, but we have Jackie and Lindsey's as well.

I do advise that you please keep an open mind as you read this series. Also before you read this story that you must read Relentless first and then Pieces of You before you read Bring Me Home. That way you have an understanding of why or how the events came about.

Thank you Cassia for your amazing series! I've always enjoyed each of them and I look forward to your future stories!

This is the first time that I can't decide who I want the girl to choose in the love triangle. I love both Adam and Chris. I am looking forward to book three.

Well this is the final installment in the shattered heart series, and I would just like to thank Cassia Leo for this amazing well written series, she has taken us on a beautiful journey of love, hope, dreams and forgiveness, a journey that takes us to the place we all love and that is home. I loved Relentless and Pieces Of You, but this book by far was my favourite, I must admit I shed quite a few tears and went through a lot of tissues, but at the end of the book I was like, what a perfect ending to a great series, I am a little sad that this series is over, but I cannot wait to go on the next journey that Cassia Leo takes us on, This was a beautifully written story and I would rate it as one of the best I have read in 2013, so please do yourself a favour and fall in love with this series like I did, 10/10 for me.

“Au milieu de l’hiver, j’ai decouvert en moi un invincible ete…. In the depths of winter, I discovered in me an invincible summer.  That’s you.  Thank you for being my invincible summer.”

Cassia Leo’s conclusion to the Shattered Hearts series, Bring Me Home, can be summed up with one word: perfection.  Once I’d turned the last page, I felt such a sense of peace, contentment and joy.  It simply couldn’t have ended any other way.

There are many aspects of this story, of this series as a whole, which I respect and admire.  So many little things made me fall in love with the characters, each of the story threads and Cassia’s ability to craft and weave both of those.  I could never possibly cover it all in one review.  But, as they relate to Bring Me Home, I want to discuss several I felt were most important and one which, personally, meant so much to me.

I have to start here because I really believe it’s the reason for the others.  Honestly, for anyone who has been following this series and reading the books as they’ve been released, you have to be as amazed as I am at this author’s ability to improve upon each story.  Cassia Leo only seems to get better and better with every book she writes, and, frankly, book one of the series, Relentless, was already pretty damn great!  Well, Bring Me Home reached a new level of talent for this author, in my opinion.  Maybe there’s a certain amount of confidence that kicks in for an author at some point.  Or, maybe it’s a matter of becoming thoroughly comfortable with the characters and story…even when one or both don’t always end up where you expect them to.  Maybe it’s just the natural progression, the accumulation of experience, of a writer.  To be honest, I really don’t care all that much about the why.  But I’m thrilled I was there to see it happen!!  I’m a nerd like that.  What can I say?  Very seriously, though, huge kudos to Cassia Leo.  I am so impressed, for whatever that’s worth.

Character growth.  Character growth, character growth, character growth.  Am I making my point?  I cannot overstate just how important character growth is to a story, series or not.  Bring Me Home needed to be—and it so was—the pinnacle, the culmination of the personal growth of each character central to the Shattered Hearts series.  I needed answers.  I needed reasons.  I needed continued emotional development.  Most importantly, I needed to believe in the choices each character ultimately made because those choices fit within the context of the personal journey I had followed Claire, Adam and Chris on over the course of this series.  In other words, I needed to see that each had grown and evolved, and that his and/or her decisions were in keeping true to those evolutions.  Without giving anything away, I’ll just say, ALL of that was there and then some!

Truthfully, probably the single most powerful storyline for me in this series, and most especially in Bring Me Home, was Abigail’s.  It’s incredibly difficult to discuss this because I’m not certain where I begin stumbling into spoiler territory.  For those who have been reading this series right along, you’ll be familiar with exactly what I’m talking about.  For those who have not yet read this series (and why the heck haven’t you?!), Abigail’s thread was one which the author wove exceptionally well and with such realism, intense depth of emotion and true beauty of spirit.  Many…many…years ago, I was in a similar situation to that of Abigail.  I found myself reading Bring Me Home almost as if it were a journal and I were Abigail, having discovered it years later.  I imagined her feelings of empathy and gratitude and pride for the decisions which were made, because I felt those same things.  I so greatly respect the author for how she handled this aspect of the story, and, again, I thank her for what she and this series have helped me come to terms with.  I could quote whole passages of this book so easily, but I stop myself in order not to ruin the story, or the series, for anyone.  However, Cassia, I hope you’ll read this review, and I want to include this particular quote because it was the one thing, personally, I’ve needed to hear for most of my life:

“You’re a part of me that I will never forget.  I love you so much,” I say as I look her in the eye.  “I hope you can feel that and I hope you never forget it.”

In all sincerity, there isn’t one thing I didn’t love about Bring Me Home.  The dialog was perfectly crafted for each character, which comes from an author knowing her characters really, really well.  Some of that dialog was so beautiful and heartbreaking, but also wonderfully heart-mending.  I felt a true connection with this story, and my emotions got away from me on more than one occasion while reading.  There were actually moments where I had chills due to the depth of my feelings!  Let’s be honest, I ugly-cried several times throughout the course of this book, and wouldn’t have changed that experience for anything.  But there were also moments of simple beauty, moments of humor, and, yeah, some terribly yummy moments of sexual healing.

Finally, I have to mention the three epilogues.  There was one from Claire, one from Chris, and one from Adam.  I began this review by saying that Bring Me Home, as the conclusion to this series, was perfection.  I’m ending it by saying the very same thing.  These epilogues bring everyone, including the reader, full circle in this series, and as the end to this particular book, it was perfection and beyond!

I leave you with this absolutely breathtaking quote from Bring Me Home:

“…I have come to know every piece of you and I’ve loved every inch of you.  I’ve counted the stars with you and I’ve counted the days, hours, and seconds I was away from you.  And after everything we’ve been through, I have no doubt that I will love you, every bit of you, until the day I die.  When the skies collapse and the Earth ceases to exist, I will still love you.”
I bring her hand to my lips and she smiles.  “To love is to destroy pain.  I love your heart.”

5 Perfect Stars!

"Where we love is home. Home where our feet may leave, but not our hearts"

Let me just say I loved, loved, loved this book. I would give it 6 stars if I could. Cassia did a wonderful job creating this conclusion to the series. When I first read Relentless I was completely Team Adam. In Pieces of You, Chris did begin to sway me a bit but I was still rooting for Adam, partly because I had more of a connection with him from the first book. With that being said, I took my time and re-read the first two books and I went into Bring Me Home with a different mindset. I realized this story wasn't about "teams" and began to realize how hard a choice Claire had to make. Do you chose the person who is the father of your child and whom you share years of memories with or chose the person who loved you and brought you back to life when you were at your weakest. I ultimately realized I just wanted Claire to be happy with whoever made her happy.

Claire did a lot of growing up and healing in this book. She's started seeing a therapist and arranged to finally meet her dad. She really worked on forgiving herself and letting go of her guilt for her decisions. Adam is still trying to repair his relationship with Claire but has a bit of a hard time accomplishing that. His ex-girlfriend Lindsey is also in the picture. Adam starts helping her out while she gets back on her feet. Meanwhile Chris is giving her the space to make her decision while fighting for the chance for them to see and become a part of Abigail’s life. When Claire makes her choice it was one of the most heartbreakingly beautiful moments. I cried for two straight chapters. There are definitely some shockers in this book. Some were heartbreaking and others were simply beautiful.

"Is that her?"
"Yes. And her name is Claire." And she's the most beautifully broken girl I've ever met.

“I don’t want her to be lost. I just want her to come home.”

Cassia did a wonderful job with developing these characters. You learn and understand Adam so much more in this book. He was always a sweet guy but he was broken and self-destructive in some ways. I found it remarkable how similar Claire and Adam are to each other. Even though they each dealt with their issues in different ways, both were broken, and driven by their guilt. Both grew so much and became better people through their experiences. Chris and Jackie were wonderful characters. They were filled with such love and forgiveness. They added so much depth and warmth to the story.

“Love is not black and white. It’s not even gray. Love is every shade of color in the spectrum, changing with every ray of light given and stolen”

Bring Me Home was ultimately a story about love, sacrifice, forgiveness and finding yourself, finding your home. I was sad to let these characters go but this was such a perfect ending for their stories. Whether you are Team Adam, Team Chris, or just Team Claire I believe you will absolutely enjoy this ending. The epilogues brought such closure to this series and and a HEA for all.

Bring Me Home by Cassia Leo is the third and final book in the Shattered Promise series. I am a giant fan of this series. What I love most about the series is after two books I had no idea who I wanted Claire, Adam or Chris. Bring Me Home we finally get to know who Claire chooses!! I couldn’t wait to dig in and devour the book… and to find out if it will be Adam or Chris.

Bring Me Home picks up right where Pieces of You (Shattered Promises #2) left off. Chris is back in Claire’s life making it clear to her he is still in love with her even though Claire has “moved on” with Adam. I know who I would have picked… Adam! I love Adam, he was there to pick up the pieces of Claire’s broken heart and put it back together again after Chris left. But there is something sweet and special about Chris & Claire and their history. I was completely torn. Claire is now trying to decide which man it will be, at the same time Chris and Claire are trying to get the right to have an open adoption for their daughter whom Claire gave up for adoption.

Just like the first two books, the book is written in Claire, Chris, and Adam’s POV. I loved being able to know what all the characters were thinking. It made the story really special and unique for the reader to be able to get in the heads of all the main characters and their thought process.

The wait is over; Claire makes her decision about 25% into the book. I was kind of hoping there would be more build up to what man she chooses and a little more fight from the man she doesn’t choose. I was a little disappointed with how the decision came about, just too quickly in the book. I was just expecting a bit more, but Bring Me Home wasn’t about that, it was about closure. I was happy with that at the end of it all no man was left heartbroken and everyone had a happily ever after.

What really made me love the book was the epilogue, it is really cute! It was perfect; everyone had what they wanted in life and was happy. I loved how it was written out, just perfect! Bring Me Home wasn’t my favorite out of the series but I felt it ended leaving nothing untouched and closure for everyone.

I give Bring Me Home (Shattered Promises #3) 4 Stars.

Oh thank you Cassia for bringing this story home!

This starts right where book 2 ends. Claire is still trying to figure herself out and these two amazing men who both want her. It doesn't take long for her to make her choice. The moment she does, I was mentally fist pumping because it was EXACTLY what I had been dying for. But the realization came to her so quick in the moment, I was like bout freaking time!

Chris and Adam both say they want Claire. In my opinion, there was clearly one guy who not only told her he loved her, but showed her. The other guy, I was like" what the fuck are you doing????". But that guy, he never got in the game. Then I realized, there's only ever been one man for Claire. It's been obvious all along.

I'm so glad that Claire got her shit together. I was so happy to not have the wishy washy Claire for the entire book. Claire deep down knew who had her heart. She just needed her no bullshit BFF Senia to say a few words of wisdom/sarcasm and to realize it herself and take action. And that's another thing I liked about Claire this go round. Once she knew who had her heart, she went after him and never let up. She needed to prove herself, that she wouldn't change her mind yet again. He deserved that and more. He was amazing.

She ends up returning one mans ring and accepting the other. The one she does accept, was a lovely way of showing him her depth of love and commitment. It was more beautiful to me than meeting Abigail. Her man of her dreams was perfect! I loved him. I loved her. I loved them together. The other guy, he disappointed me, but as I read along and as he learned some of his own lessons, he wasn't meant to be with Claire. They just didn't see it for what it was. Healing. Learning. Moving forward.

Claire and her man got the HEA and then some. I couldn't have been happier with the outcome and characters in this book.

There is something to be said for growth. It leads to revelations, life changing decisions and, often times, closure.

This book, “Bring Me Home,” was the final book in the Shattered Hearts series that took all the dangling parts and loose ends the first two books left us with and slowly and methodically took the time to weave them into the fabric of the lives of these characters.

Now, most people know me as a “hard reader to please” and someone who is “tough on writers” because of the level of expectations I have. And while some would say what I expect is too tall an order to fill, there have been the rare few that have filled the order and then far exceeded my expectations with the work they put out. This book qualifies as a rare occurrence.

This journey starts out in book one, “Relentless” and is carried over into the second book in this trilogy “Pieces of You.” These books must be read in order to not only fully appreciate the growth, but to understand the significance of all the revelations made along the way.
I will now attempt to give this book the fine tribute I feel it deserves.

Picking up where “Pieces of You” leaves off, “Bring Me Home” was the culmination of realizations for our female lead, Claire. Claire, who has been riddled with guilt and sadness over a decision that was made well over a year ago…a decision that while she made on her own, left many others affected and heartbroken. But where there is love, there is healing…and where there is healing…there is hope for happiness and ultimately…FORGIVENESS. Forgiveness, not just by others but forgiving of ourselves.

Chris and Adam, both legitimately good guys, also bring something different to Claire’s life. One forces her to face her past and guilt, while the other represents a chance of burying that deep and starting over and new. One holds her heart and the other holds her mask. One knows her true self and the other knows the girl she is pretending to be. While both love her, one loves all of her and the other loves the girl he had that helped lead him to make his own realizations. But which man does Claire want? And will that decision give us the Claire we never got to see or the Claire she was pretending to be?
All of this is answered in this book….and then some.

This author, whom I have come to know and truly adore as both a person and a writer, did EVERYTHING right with this book. It is very difficult to take characters that you come to know one way in the first book, have them be altered along the way due to circumstances and a series in events in the next book, then “Bring IT HOME” literally, in the third book, all why keeping true to each character’s back story, their present situation, their own growth, their own realizations, their own needs, desires and wants, as well as remembering that all of that doesn’t just affect one character, but many. There is always a trickledown effect and that must not be ignored, since every action has an adverse or equal reaction. The preparation must be accurate, the execution spot on and the reactions believable, realistic and make you nod your head while you are saying to yourself, “I can see that” or “that makes sense.”

This book had EVERYTHING I demand in a closing book for a series.

Consistency of characters
Believability of progression
Realistic expectations
Ownership of actions
Realizations of feelings and needs
Honesty of wants and fears
Embracing understanding
Forgiveness
Growth and respect
And the ULTIMATE sacrifice

To say that I am beyond impressed would be an understatement.

This author spared no expense when she went balls to the wall sticking to her story as she saw fit, let the characters tell their story their way and win your heart no matter where your loyalties were. And helped you find your own understanding and forgiveness while you read and were introduced to a series of facts, truths and knowledge that I always suspected but never knew for sure. It is in those moments where you either cradle your favorite closer to your heart or find a way to embrace the other side.

You learn that first impressions are truly not what they seem.
What you see is not always what you get
Old love can always feel new
Understanding is the first step toward forgiveness
Love can truly conquer all
Taking ownership of your part in any situation leads towards healing and growth
And that Great Happiness truly does follow Great Pain

I have read many trilogies, not many with a love triangle, but this is hands down one of the best I have ever read in terms of bringing it all together and literally making it whole. The very end of this book made me smile because it ended with a glimmer of respect and promise not just for two characters, but ALL of them.

Brilliant conclusion and without a doubt one of the best I’ve read for a finale of a series.

An absolute FIVE STAR WINNER for me.

I'm so glad that I found these books. When I got the tour invite for the second book in this series, I'm glad I gave it a chance. It's one my of my favorite series, ever. I'm sad that BRING ME HOME is the last book in the series, but it couldn't have ended better!

BRING ME HOME is told from Claire, Chris, and Adam's POV's. I felt like it really helped me understand why Claire made the decisions she made. Well, not just Claire, but all of them. I've always liked Claire. Some of the decisions she's made in the past, I didn't necessarily agree with, but I did understand where she was coming from. At the end of the second book, Pieces of You, Claire had some decisions to make. Chris and Adam both want her. Chris is the love of her life, but Adam helped heal her heart. Was it really a tough choice to make? Yes, I think it was. Both guys were great. There were times I wanted her to end up with Adam, but her connection with Christ couldn't be ignored. Plus, she and Chris had some issues that needed to be taken care of.

Oh, Chris. You know, I've been back and forth about him in the series. I mean, I've always liked him, but I really loved Adam, so it was tough. One of the things I loved the most about Chris though, was how he loved Claire. He knew her and he knew how to love her. And even though she crushed his heart many times, he always forgave her and tried to work things out. He was willing to give up all his fame, just to be with her again. By the end of this book, I realized how much they needed to be together.

Then, there was Adam. I've loved Adam from the beginning. He's funny, sexy, and sweet. But, Adam is also wounded. Looking at the series as a whole now, I really feel like Claire and Adam were brought together for a reason. They both had trauma that they needed to heal from. They were able to help each other and I do think that they fell in love. Adam's decisions in the second book certainly steered the course for their relationship and the way things ended for them. It was hard for them to recover after that. In this book, I felt like Adam finally forgave himself for his past mistakes. I loved that he stepped up to help Lindsay with Kaia. Adam was exactly where he was supposed to be.

Overall, I loved this book. I cried. A lot. Chris and Claire had to make some heartbreaking choices, but I'm hoping that maybe we may see something in the future with Abigail. But, I was happy that everyone ended up with who they were truly supposed to be with. If you haven't started this series yet, please give it a go. It's an emotional ride, but totally worth it!

~Sometimes you forget how much you love someone, until you realize their smile is like a spotlight shined on your heart.-Claire, Loc 496

~"To call you my soul mate would be like calling Romeo and Juliet soul mates. It means nothing in the context of real life and it's easily dismissible. You are more than my soul mate. You are me."-Claire, Loc 1949

~"Thank you for giving me a home. Thank you for being so patient with me. Thank you for loving me when I didn't think I deserved it. Thank you for being my friend, my love, my home, and my hope."-Claire, Loc 3438

What an incredible ending to such an astonishing series! All I can say is WOW!!!! Words can not explain what a phenomenal book this was and how much I LOVED it!!! What a magnificent heartfelt book! I was on the emotional roller coaster ride with the characters as I was reading. When they hurt, I hurt and when they smiled and laughed, I felt that too. From the first page, I was hooked into the story. I knew that I would be a blubbering happy mess and I loved every single minute of it!

First and foremost, this series was about Claire Nixon. This was her journey that we were on, from beginning to end. All the decisions made were for her best interest and what she truly needed and felt in her heart. Throughout this book, I was so proud of Claire. She became the person that she wanted to be. She was able to forgive and grow within herself and be able to love fully. After all that she has been through in her life, it was great to see that she finally was able to put it all together and become a strong woman. From Relentless to Pieces of You to Bring Me Home, it is seen how much Claire has grown and changed. She was able to heal herself and find her way back to what she truly wanted all along. It was a tough and emotional journey but at the end she came out a better person. I absolutely loved Claire in this book! <3Team Claire<3

Now, on to the men...
What a man Chris Knight is! I liked Chris but BMH just made me fall in love with him so much more. Everything that he did showed how much of an adoring, charming, and amazing guy he is! Such a stand-up person and I just loved everything about him in this book.
Oh how I love Adam Parker! He grew up so much in this book. Adam did a lot of realization and confronting. I was truly able to see that good, affectionate, loving, and funny guy guy that he was indeed, which is why I fell in love with his character in the first place. There were issues that he needed to work through and I was very satisfied that he was able to get that closure. He was able to heal and finally move on from his past into a brighter future.

The supporting characters in the story were wonderful as well. Jackie and Senia were so crucial in the story. Senia is the kind of friend that you need in life-she was always there for Claire and I really valued their friendship. I loved Jackie so much. She was great mother figure for Claire. I could tell that she would do anything and everything for her children. She brought a whole new perspective to Claire and Chris and I really liked that. Lindsey and Tristan were pleasant additions as well. They all added such a nice element to the story.

The story played out like it should have and needed to. The whole series was about forgiveness, healing, and finding love and happiness. Claire, Chris, and Adam all went through that realization in this book and Cassia portrayed those moments so beautifully. I was so glad that everyone got the HEA that they deserved. Their happiness was all that mattered to me. My heart was bursting with joy and all I could do was smile. It was so fitting and terrific! There were also some surprises along the way that I wasn't expecting but made it that much more great. I am sad that this series is over but ecstatic that everything ended on such a satisfying and blissful note. I never read a story that really grabbed a hold of me as much as this book (and series) did. I was captivated on every word and moment as it was happening to these characters. This was a very emotional book for me. I never cried, laughed, and swooned as much and it was so worth it. Cassia has such a way with words and story-telling! She made her characters believable and relatable-she made them real. I just loved everything about this book! There were some beautiful moments that were heartfelt and divine. It was hands-down my favorite of the series and one of the BEST books that I have ever read. Believe me when I say that. It was truly remarkable!!! Bravo Cassia on such an amazing book! The whole Shattered Heart series especially the characters will stay with me forever. Thank You Cassia for writing this story and sharing it with us. You have such a talent and are a gifted writer! This book was just perfect!

Oh gosh where do I start? Cassia Leo is simply brilliant! Seriously, kudos to her for writing not just one fantastic book but the whole damn series! I was enthralled with this series and her writing. I literally found myself drooling when I opened up my Kindle and saw the ARC of Bring Me Home sitting there! I wanted the conclusion to the Claire, Adam, and Chris saga. Oh and little did I know what Cassia had in store for me. Some words come to mind when I think about Bring Me Home – heartwarming, touching, emotional roller-coaster, humor, angst, sadness, joy, love, happiness, smokin’ HOT….Yes, all of these describe emotions I felt while reading Bring Me Home (Shattered Hearts #3) by Cassia Leo!

During the first 2 books I definitely had a team. One that I was determined had to win Claire’s heart! However, upon reading the third I realized there is no longer a team for me. I absolutely positively LOVE them all! Claire, Adam, and Chris they all deserve a HEA and I was so impressed that they each got it! Who will Claire end up with? Hmm, I can’t answer that- you will need to read Bring Me Home to find out =) What I will say is you won’t be disappointed regardless of what team you were on before this book. The chemistry, dialogue, and happenings that occur in this book will pull and tug on your heart. You will find yourself giddy, crying, and gasping at points. I will say we finally get the conclusion to Claries story – we learn so much about….her douchebag father, her mother’s secrets, and then of course we get to see what will happen with sweet Abigail! This novel truly is just pure awesomeness! I feel like everything has come together full circle. I have to say this book is in my top 5 books of the year! It was that damn good! I want to say more but I just can’t spoil it for you… Happy Reading! xoxo

A great storyline, that will have you on roller coaster ride of emotions!

It's hard to write a review for this book without giving away spoilers!

I think the main thing to remember is that this story is all about Claire. She has grown so much from the insecure person from book 1, to making choices in book 2 and finally through counselling able to forgive herself for mistakes she made, to grow and learn to deal with issues head on.

It's a love triangle & this is where it's hard, as on one side you may (like me) feel a lttle bit heart broken when Claire realises who is her all time love, her home, her family.

So whether it be Team Chris or Team Adam, you are routing for, Cassia Leo manages to bring this story line to a beautiful and peaceful happy ever after ending, that will leave you with an emotionally high, happy speechless moment!

This book wasn't terrible, but it was really tedious to read. As was the second book of the series. I made it to 58% by some stroke of miracle and just scanned through the rest because I couldn't take it anymore. It was tiring and repetitive and just...ugh. And the random other POVs? What WAS that? Like I give a shit about Lindsay's point of view?

And I had nothing against Chris, I actually kind of liked him, but I hated the way this triangle was dealt with. Adam was brought in as the main love interest and then just swept under the rug like yesterday's news. It really bothered me. I only finished this series because I wanted to see who she wound up with, and I can't leave a series unfinished. Otherwise I would've stopped halfway through Pieces of You.

"Love is not black and white. It's not even gray. Love is every shade under the spectrum, changing with every ray of light given and stolen. Sometimes you forget how much you love someone, until you realise their smile is like a spotlight shined on your heart."

I had been desperate for this book since the ending of the last book as the ending left it open for anything to happen, but in a way I was pretty scared to read this book as well! This was it! You know, the final book and in a way I'm really sad to see the series come to an end! It's been one emotional journey! This book was also the book that Claire finally picked between Adam and Chris and I was really worried about who she was going to pick, but this book was perfection! Right down to the last sentence! The plot of this book was developed from where the last book left off from and it was beautiful! I found myself tearing up at certain points! The plot was developed perfectly and I'll admit that I was a little worried about where it was going to go, but the author did an amazing job at making the plot flow brilliantly and make my worries subside! It was the perfect pace, there were twists and turns and the ending was absolutely beautiful! The characters completely continued to surprise me! They honestly just kept getting better and better! Claire in this book was the strongest I've ever seen her! She had to face her demons head on and she finally did it in this book! After doing this she was free! I felt that Claire was more relaxed in this book and although she was still the main character, the other characters that we've met during this series got to have their voices heard as well as Bring Me Home was written from Claire, Chris and Adam's point of views and then some chapters were also written from other characters that have played important roles in this book! I loved getting to see how all the characters were handling the situations that the main characters faced! Adam wasn't really in this book as much as I would have liked, but when he was in it he was so sweet and cute! He had so much to be angry at, but he wasn't! Chris in this book was completely different to the Chris we met in Relentless! A softer side of him came out in this book and it was so sweet! The love triangle came to a close pretty early on in this book and I can say that I wasn't expecting this! I'll admit that Claire didn't pick who I wanted her to, but I honestly didn't care! After I saw how happy she was and I really thought about it I realised that who she did pick was the right person! Plus, the other guy in the love triangle found love as well, so it was amazing to see characters that I've read three books on and formed a connection with have their happy ending! I'm really sad to see this series come to an end, but what a series is has been! It has left me in tears, it has made me fall in love and it has a beautiful ending! What more could I ask for? Even though I'm sad to see it go it has been an amazing series that I would recommend to everyone! The cover for this book is absolutely stunning! It's original and it suits the book perfectly!
