★★★★★! All or Nothing (book 2). The continuation of Nick & Kate’s epic, spellbinding & tumultuous story with intrigue, suspense, challenges, mind-blowing sex & their intense against-all-odds love!

“What do you want me to say?’
‘How about the truth?’
‘Then I’ll be fucking someone else. Satisfied?’
It was amazing how much it hurt to hear him say that. To think of him with another woman. To consider life without him…”

This is the intense whirlwind romance between Billionaire Venture Capitalist and CEO of Knight Enterprises, Dominic Knight, Nick and forensic accountant Katherine Hart, Kate. Travel the world over as Nick and Kate’s love develops and is challenged. There will be many twists and turns along the way delivering the very best of intrigue, suspense, sizzling sex and a captivating love.

The All or Nothing Trilogy is using different Publishers for the US and the UK, hence the different covers and titles. Books must be read in order:
BOOK 1 Knight’s Mistress (UK) / All He Wants (US)
BOOK 2 Knight’s Game (UK) / All He Needs (US)
BOOK 3 Knight Takes Queen (UK) / All He Desires (US)

In book 1 Kate had been hired as a consultant to Knight Enterprises and after helping to uncover traitors within the company and recovering $20 million in stolen money she has put a target on her and Nick’s backs. Nick had only intended to seduce Kate, but before he knows it he is all caught up in wanting more. Their intense against-all-odds romance was electrifying with plenty of sinfully steamy sex scenes.

Coming back from the shocking developments near the end of book 1, book 2 opens to the aftermath. I really don’t want to reveal any details as their story is best experienced, but I can hint to this:

Book 2 will follow Nick and Kate through sky-high ups and rock-bottom lows as their relationship is tested with demons from their pasts, jealousy and secrets. Add to that the imminent threat to their lives by scorned dark and shady forces and you have nothing short of a rollercoaster of events and emotions. Nothing is as it seems, expect to be shocked yet again. I for one almost tossed my book out the window.

We are treated to everything that is sex with Nick Knight; kinky, bossy, talented and at times devious lover. We also get more glimpses into the enigma that is Nick Knight. His widower-hood may not be his only reason for elusiveness. Can he open up enough to let Kate in the deepest recesses of his heart? Ultimately this is their story about pushing all limits and surrendering it all for love.

 photo GibbsAllorNothing1-2HerobySueBee_zps64bcc6c1.jpg

Dominic Knight, “Nick” is my ultimate hero! His combination of uncanny good looks, kinky lover and larger-than life, enigmatic, elusive; intense, in-control; ruthless and unyielding personality makes him unforgettable. Add to that his maturity and worldliness that is unsurpassed! He has staffed homes and fuck-pads in cities across the world. He is the alpha male of alpha males.

Seven words to describe Nick: Worldly, unforgettable, intense, ruthless, enigmatic, domineering and captivating.

‘You think I’m going to change ? You think that hot sex with you is going to alter my life? Burn away thirty-two fucking years of encoded distrust and the poisonous shadow…”

 photo blakelively3smilebysb_zpsa3021003.gif
 photo GibbsAllorNothing1-2HeroinebySueBee_zps1a337a06.jpg

Katherine Hart, “Kate”, though geeky, moody, and confrontational even annoying at times she is what Nick needed and she is what we need to keep the story going. It was my pleasure to watch the lengths that Dominic would go to appease her even though in all his life he has never bent for anyone. I laughed to myself on numerous occasions when a perplexed Dominic tried to justify his behavior to himself - priceless!

Five words to describe Kate: Independent, smart, confrontational, moody, endearing and tenacious.

“After a lifetime of docile women, he didn’t actually mind her intransigence. He liked the challenge. But then he was on the distant shore of fucked-up.”

Book 2 leaves Nick and Kate in a good place, but their story is far from over and there is still danger and villains lurking plus many unresolved issues. I am thrilled to be skipping to book 3, the conclusion of their saga!

Spectacular! Epic! Mesmerizing! Captivating! Nick Knight, the best of the best and my #1! 6-star shelf! Thanks Ms. Johnson, Quercus and my fellow buddy-readers!

“She had Dominic now, and tomorrow, perhaps longer. So carpe diem – until she ran out of road.”

"What’s between us defies reason. We’re obsessed, infatuated—”

“Probably deranged,” she muttered.

“But in a good way, babe...It’s going to be fine. I promise.”

They say you can tell a lot about a man by the way he apologizes...and in my opinion, Dominic he has earned her forgiveness and then some. With putting aside who's to blame for their time apart, but all Dominic wants is Kate by his side 24x7, because she is worth it all.
"I’m thanking my lucky stars you fell into my life. And now that you have, I’m locking the door behind you.”

Taking their second vacation, they continue their world-wind romance from Boston and Paris to Singapore and San Francisco, he continues to show Kate all the things he can give her, even if all she needs can be found in him; "the defenseless desire, the insatiable need”— she smiled—“ the mind-blowing happy endings.” Kate is struggling trying to keep her feet on the ground in a world she has never known.
"you’ve become my drug of choice, my addiction, my greatest pleasure.” She gave him a shaky smile. “You can’t leave this time,” she whispered.

He has to prove to her, he is not the man from his past, but a man awakened...even if he doesn't know the meaning of the word love.
"You’re my obsession, my craziness, my waking dream. So if you’re wondering how I feel? I’m here . When I could be a thousand other places.”

Keeping Kate safe and innocent is Dominic's first priority. When a threat hits too close to home he is forced to go against the promise he made. It takes all this and more to realize just how special Kate is to him. He just hopes that when his deal is done, he can win her back...no matter what it takes.
“Don’t break my heart, baby,” he whispered.

All He Needs is the second book in the three part series. With multiplie POV's so we get all angles and gain an understanding about them.

Dominic and Kate start off in their own personal hell thinking that they are both better off alone, but quickly realize that they can't live without each other or at least for the meantime. Kate battles between her desire and her reservations about his past and the role she plays in his life. Dominic struggles to understand the depths of his feelings for Kate. Actions speak louder than words, and his are screaming from the mountain top; obvious to everyone around them except each other. I think that is what I enjoyed most about this book, the parts where we get into the minds of Dominic's associates and their shock and reaction to the man he is with Kate. Seeing the ultimate manwhore go down in flames for just the right woman.

This has everything the first book had and then some; the lavish lifestyles, never having to go without what you want, the need, control, desire and obsession. Kate is nothing but a positive force in his life and his transformation makes your heart melt...and panties wet, because he has not lost his touch it just means so much more. Dominic is rightfully arrogant and knows how to calm the storm within Kate. The sex is scenes were still amazingly HOT, his skill is something to awe over (if you can get passed how much practice he actually had.) The threat I didn't really buy, but I'll go with it just for the sake of moving on. They are crazy, they are over the top and yet I can not look away. I love Dominic. As for Kate, we have more of a sibling relationship, she drives me crazy but I love her.

Another great addition to this addictive series, can't wait to see what happens next, because I about died with his sweetness towards the end... squee!!! Onto the next ;)

I felt really conflicted about rating this book there were moments of pure writing genius, as with book one the erotica side of this novel was a kinky but poetic wonder, on the other hand I had some issues with the story telling and flow of story line. I'm hoping book three will give me those feelings that I experienced reading book one. Here's to a trilogy ending that gives me that true epic, love story feeling.

Knight's Game is the continuation of Dominic Knight and Katherine Hart's story. Their trials and tribulations. He's a man who lives for the chase... He sees something he wants and goes for it. He loves the thrill of achieving.... He wants that thrill over and over....

I ♥ Dominic Knight and wish I loved this book more....

Can Kate tame him? Make this alpha, kinky controlling male satisfied...??? Content....???

Can she make him LOVE???? Does he know how to love???

Is she ready for the life he has to offer???

This book is about discovering the true meaning of loving someone.... About a delicious dominant male and a feisty heroine, it's erotic in the extreme, all the ingredients that make a book fabulous to epic proportions, so what happened when I read it? I feel a little sad to say it just didn't happen for me, there were only glimmers.

It started so well, I was hugely excited to move straight to this after the emotional, heartbreak of the last book.... I was eager to discover the answers to my questions....

It's about sex, sex, sex and oh.... more sex please??!!!!
"Good girl. But then you have a real appetite for fucking, don't you?"

Don't get me wrong I LOVE reading books with HOT sex, and the sex was lovely, but I think the problem was.... Dare I say, there was so much, it became a little mundane and ordinary to the point that, for me, it lost it's intent. Maybe if I felt more emotionally connected to the characters, I would have felt differently?

They both have very fiery temperaments which is great for conflict and drama but their arguments seemed to come from nowhere? I would find myself looking back to see if I had missed something?

The balance was slightly off for me... Between sex, feelings, story and emotion, eeek.... Sorry to all those who loved it, I just didn't feel it.

For me, the story kicked in during the last 30% of the book, I felt the drama, the emotion and the angst at the end and it inspired me enough to want to know what fate would have in store for Kate and Dominic and, of course I'm still after feeling epic love for this series..... I believe it can happen....

Love this quote, it's beautiful!!!

She worked for him and now....

"You're my obsession, my craziness, my waking dream."

Will it last???

I'm keen to see how Dominic will resolve the predicament he finds himself in.....

I have to stress that I'm very much in the minority on my overall opinion of this book, it has fabulous ratings and maybe in another space in time I would have felt differently so I would say that if you love a dominant strong, alpha male and oodles of sex then you should definitely give this book a read.... I'm glad I got to experience Dominic, even though my love for it wasn't epic.... Give it a read you may LOVE

My initial reaction.
Need to ponder this one. Loved the first 20% and last 30%.
Hmmmm????

Dominic Knight is lovely

♥ BR with lots of lovely ladies

He’d actually planned on sitting alone in his apartment and drowning his sorrows in whiskey.
Current mood.

STOP SAYING JEEZ. Mr. Knight, Mr. Grey… is every BDSM erotica the same?
Ok this is apparently book 2 but it doesn’t matter. It’s not a complicated storyline. I figured it out. I found this in my house *probs a newspaper gift* and I was like ‘oh ok Imma read it’…. I regret everything. Also my version is translated in Greek. Don’t know why I mentioned it.
So I went to Goodreads to read about the first book and I found this gif
: “I’m the one with the dick and you’re the one that wants it,’ he gently said. ‘It’s not complicated.”

“Jeez. Is that kind of invasive detail actually legal?”
Honey you are on your period not on a secret mission. STFU.

DECEASED:
"You’ve become my drug of choice, my addiction, my greatest pleasure.”
"You’re my obsession, my craziness, my waking dream.’’
“Is that all I mean to you? A hard dick?”
‘’ …with that really fabulous dick…’’
“I wouldn’t dream of saying no to you after that dynamite orgasm.”
“My dick always has the final vote with you, baby.’’

“Who wouldn’t like him? He’s an amazing man.”
Me? I hate him you bland piece of bread.

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK??? WHAT THE FUCK????:
Hot with temper, he was on top of her before she’d finished speaking, slamming into her because she could piss him off damn near better than anyone.
Stunned, she sucked in a breath. “What the hell are you doing?”
“I’m trying to fuck you, baby. I’m not getting much help. Should I order in some lube?”
“Get. Off. Me,” she said, tight and angry. “Right now.”
“No way.”

And that kids is what aunt Ria calls rape. R-A-P-E, RAPE. gif

5 Dominic Knight Rocked My World Stars!!!

This series just keeps getting better. At the end of Book 1, All He Wants, Dominic and Kate had gone their separate ways. I wasn't too worried though, because, come on folks, it's Dominic Fucking Knight, sex God extraordinaire!! He knows how to use the tool God gave him!!

Dominic finds Kate (let's be honest, he always knew where Kate was) in Singapore finishing up a contract job. Dominic man's up and let's her know how much he has missed her. They have seriously hot make-up sex all night long.
This continues into their week long vacation together. Imagine really hot, mind-blowing sex for a week. C.C. Gibbs is a pro at writing phenomenal sex scenes!! You will need to grab your significant other (have him/her on stand-by) or your favorite adult toy for some immediate release after reading these. Trust Me!!

The sex was so fucking hot, I was wondering......uhm......

Just when I'm thinking these two have finally gotten their shit together.........yup, C.C. threw in a WTF is happening moment!!

I seriously started drinking copious amounts of alcohols I was so torn up about this new predicament that would tear them apart.

Of course, if I was Kate, I would've stalked Dominic and gotten back with him right away!! But, Nooooooooo Kate throws herself into her work to forget about her broken heart.

Dominic is the one who has the stalker tendencies and tracks Kate down.

So at this point I'm sure your wondering......What's gonna happen? Will Kate take Dominic back? I was too!! So, like the drunk fool I am, I stayed up until I finished the book.

All I'm gonna say is, C.C. Gibbs, I need book 3 to be in ebook format like now!!

In all seriousness, I must thank C.C. Gibbs for creating Mr. Dominic Knight, who has become one of my top five book husbands!! Now go pick this sizzling, hot series up, bitches!! It won't disappoint!!

**Thanks SueBee and the fabulous C.C. Gibbs Fans group for another fabulous Buddy Read!!

“I’m going to be brutally frank. First—you’re not Cinderella. Second, even if you were, Dominic Knight’s definitely not prince material. Third, whatever happened had nothing to do with love, it was sex. And fourth and most important, even if you think your heart is broken, no one ever, ever dies of a broken heart. Got it?”

Nick and Kate are both stubborn, and trying to live a part. While usually this is my least favorite part of a book, I actually enjoyed the banter between them and their friends.

Luckily it didn’t take long for Nick to give in and go find Kate.

I loved seeing them get back together after being a part. This time it seemed like they appreciated each other more in this book and began forming real connections.

Of course there are some ups and downs, and some real shockers in this installment but I am keeping my lips sealed.

Overall, I loved this installment more then first. Nick and Kate…

That aside I loved their connection and witty banter. As jealous as it makes me, I loved the way Nick treats Kate…he should be treating me that way! In his defense we haven’t officially met.

I can’t wait to read book 3 and see the conclusion to their story.

I loved buddy reading with everyone in CC Gibbs Fan Club Group.

Knight's Game is the continuation of the chaotic, volatile, occasionally mind-blowing story of the controlling, dominant, super sexy Dominic Knight and sassy, feisty, beautiful Katherine Hart.

 photo kateandDom_zps53adb54a.jpg

Their relationship has hit a juncture and they both are not ready to accept their true feelings. Being apart from one another, trying to move on, is difficult when feelings and memoires are hard to forget. It last 36 days......

Kate and Dominic reconnect. Their intense chemistry is off the charts
 photo tumblr_lmib9y5zJq1qk8kd1o1_500_zpsa90f0763.gif
and they have lots and lots of sex. Kate is a woman who constantly is in need of Dominic.

Was is possible to fall hopelessly, head-over-heels in love again, with a man who didn't want to be loved, because of an outrageously grandiose orgasm, Kate wondered?
 photo kisssing_zps1a19b586.gif

There is a lot of internal questioning throughout this book. They still banter back and forth wonderfully, it's quick witted, sharp and sometimes too much. We also get more of Dominic's life, why he is as he is. We also get more of his relationship with his sister, Melanie.

While Kate has fallen for the incorrigible Mr. Knight, Dominic struggles with his feelings.
"You've made my life a total take-no-prisoners clusterfuck. This is the second time I've walked away from my world for you, because of you...because of my obsession with you. So you might be in love...I don't know what that means...But I'm fucking involved if that's what you're wondering- in ways I've never been before." He scowled at her. "But that's all I know. Don't expect me to know what love is. I don't"

With every intimate act, their love for each other grows. Can it grow enough to sustain them forever? Can Dominic learn to really love?

"I own you baby. Every breath. Every heartbeat. Every precious part of you."

While he couldn't cancel his past, nor wash away a single bitter memory, he could shape a new destiny, create a new world, perhaps learn to understand the meaning of love.

There is also a sinister plot involving the European Mafia. A force out for revenge. I'm not sure I was a fan of the mafia scenario. It was intriguing but to me not very believable. It sets up for major game changer, one that might be the end of Dominic and Kate. Or can Dominic right the wrong and win Kate back?

Dipping his head, he met her lips and whether fate or destiny, accident or chance had brought them together, they understood that what they had was an astonishing gift. Actually a goddamn miracle, Dominic reflected, inured as he was to the concept of benevolence. A miracle he intended to preserve.

I loved the very ending of this book. While most of the book was really their sexual relationship, the ending got me believing again and

This was another beautifully written, sumptuous erotic romance. We are back with Dominic and Katherine after the events of the final chapters of Knight’s Mistress. They have gone their separate ways but they are both completely lost without one another. Dominic is still trying to control and orchestrate her life from afar, hiding behind his vast wealth and influence but he’s a lost man without Katherine. He can’t sleep, can’t eat, has no interest in other women – booze is suddenly his best friend. His friends and colleagues are more than worried about him.

Katherine finds herself in a similar state – she desperately misses Dominic. He’s awoken something in her that cannot be put back to rest and she craves to rekindle the turbo-charged intensity of their relationship. He’s her drug of choice and she is in severe withdrawal, suffering a deep, raw sense of deprivation at his absence.

Circumstances and fear for her safety on Dominic’s part, will throw them together once again in the far east and it’s really not long before those frenzied carnal cravings overtake them once more and they fall back into that tempestuous passion that consumed them before.

I loved this – it was just so sexy and Dominic and Katherine are really great characters with plenty of depth. Dominic is dominant, shameless, heartless, jaw-droppingly beautiful, charismatic and phenomenally sexually talented. He’s very much in control and totally competent at just about everything he does, never more so than in the bedroom as we’re treated to scene after scene of delicious and edgy passion. Katherine is feisty, argumentative and never backwards in coming forward with her opinion and, despite trying hard not to, Dominic constantly pisses her off and she’s often on the verge of walking away from him again.

Dominic is rapidly becoming blind to reason where she’s concerned – he’s obsessed, infatuated and is now wondering if the time may have come to retract his cardinal rule against emotional entanglement. He’s always moved through women at warp-speed, his dealings with them casual and cursory and he’s not prepared for how he feels about Katherine.

BUT – bigger things are afoot here as danger lurks close by and events take a dramatic turn that will threaten the fragile happiness that they have begun to find together with a thrilling and pulsating storyline that has a few shocks in store. This ends wonderfully but there is more to come and this is fast-paced, erotic, funny, enthralling and a real page-turner – just about everything you could want in an erotic romance

This was book two in the sizzling series from C.C. Gibbs. "All He Needs" is a continuation of the love affair between Dominic Knight and Kate, and I loved every minute of their journey! The story starts of with how unhappy both of this couple is without one another. Of course, Kate has no problem admitting that she loves Dominic and that life is dull without him. One thing about Kate though, is the fact that she will not just lie down for any man and allow him to walk all over her. So, when Dominic comes waltzing back into her life one day; she most certainly doesn't make it too easy for him to gain his way back into her heart and bed!! One of the hardest things about Dominic is the fact that he doesn't know what love feels like. Therefore, these feelings that he has for Kate isn't easy for him to label. All he knows is that he has never felt this way about anyone else before.

I adore these two as a couple. Mainly, I love their fire and electricity that they bring to the bedroom! I mean, they are beyond HOT! There are a handful amount of books that I have read that give a whole new meaning to hot, primal, sex; and this would most definitely be one of them! Holy smoly, I love the sex in this book! C.C. Gibbs knows how to write, and she does it extremely well! This series has entertained me very well, and it is one that I know in the future I will read again!

In this installment, we also get more information on Dominic's past. We are also introduced to his sister and her family, and I enjoyed seeing how Nick interacted with his nieces and nephews. It shows a whole new side to him, one that I wouldn't have imagined existed with how shut off he can be a great deal of the time. It is also so nice to see his vulnerable side come out around Kate. He may be a controlling alpha male; but he has a side that willingly submits himself to Kate. I love that his character is not so black and white..He is like an onion with many layers, and it is a pleasure to watch as the layers slowly get peeled away!

Dominic ends up having to make some big decisions in the name of love, and for awhile I was quite angry with some of the decisions he made! I did fear that I was going to have to deal with another huge cliffy; but I am happy to say that this book does end on a good note. The ending still leaves the reader craviing for more in the third book; but at least it isn't one of those endings that have you shaking your head and wondering where the pages are!!!

I can't wait to read the third book! I love Dominic and Kate's world, and I know I will enjoy seeing what is going to happen with them and the challenges they face. If this is a series that you haven't read yet; then I must suggest that you add it to your shelf. It is totally worth your time to read it!

3.5 STARS---spoilers if you haven't read BOOK ONE

Book 2 in the All or Nothing series pretty much picks up where book 1 left off. Nick and Kate have gone their separate ways, but not for long. These two are like magnets, and if either of them had any doubt as to the importance of the other, it was resolved in this book. The clincher was BOTH Nick and Kate thought they were leaving the other...

Nick of course was lonely and devastated. I think the thing I love about him is the million and one reasons he gives himself for feeling the way he does about Kate except for the one most glaringly obvious. He is the master of pretense, the biggest fool in his own drama, but it's so endearing, so hopelessly sweet that I can't help but adore him. He did pull some seriously assholish moves at one point and I wanted to slap him, but again, it was all in misguided and ignored realizations. One thing for sure though, Nick does really come through in this book, for both him and Kate. He is INCREDIBLE.

While I was annoyed with Kate like crazy in book 1, she was much better here. Her defenses are crucial with a man like Nick and his history with women is excruciatingly daunting. Throw in a 22 year old, from a small town no less and you get why Kate is the way she is. I guess the only thing that bugged me about her was her orgasm frenzy--if you've read or plan on reading the series you'll know what I mean-it just came off as desperate. So needless to say, they once again found each other. The relationship between them was intense, scorching and dappled in light BDSM. I think one of my issues with this series as well as some others ( NOT including Fifty Shades--because, come on, that was the forerunner), is the need to even include BDSM. It's fine really, but sometimes unnecessary. Anywho, the sex was hot, the banter was intelligent and the emotional growth, sweet.

But like the first book, there were periods of inactivity. And what I mean by that is nothing really happening plot wise. Lots of sex and orgasms to last a lifetime but sometimes I felt the story was stagnant. I found myself easily able to put this book down but not to the degree of not finishing, it is still an interesting series. And again like in the first book, it just picked up after 75%. It had me scrambling to get to the end and obviously wanting to read the third and final book. I even had to order Knight Takes Queen in paperback from Amazon since the American publishers haven't released it in ebook yet, which is slated for November.
So a good series so far, some predictability of course, but entertaining nonetheless, even if it always seems to come towards the end.

I must be reading a different version of this series. There are so many people in love with these characters and I just feel confused
description/

There was so much going on. Tempers were constantly flaring, but I kept having to flip back a few pages to find out what happened. But there was nothing. It was all so confusing.
description/

There was even an element of danger, which you all know that I live for...I love my action, but I was still very confused by it all.

I enjoyed Knight’s interaction with his nieces and nephews and just like with the last book, the story became interesting toward the end. So, I’ll probably read the next one too.

The continuing story of arrogant, controlling Dominic Knight and his biggest challenge yet, Katherine Hart. She completely throws him off his game but he keeps coming back for more. She tries her best to curtail his dominance but, in the end, she loves this man and will do anything he asks of her. Can two such polar opposite personalities come to a truce and make it work? Can he "shape a new destiny, create a new world, perhaps learn to understand the meaning of love?"

I can say, in all honesty, the third person POV almost killed this book for me. Until the very end, I've had a hard time FEELING anything between them. I had zero attachment to the characters, no fidgeting, no butterflies. I'm seriously in the minority as almost everyone seems to love all things Dominic and Kate. The writing is poetic, extremely detailed. Rest assured, that ending saved me. Now I FEEL a love story. Butterflies have entered my stomach and I'm looking forward to the continuing story of endearing Nick and tough as nails Kate.

COLLAGE

This book was just ok to me. I liked the first one much better. To me this seemed like the exact same thing as the first.. He pursues girl, he gets girl, he acts like an ass and loses girl. This one just has a added twist at the end. Over all not to bad, great hot, sexy sex scenes. I am anxious to read the next book to see how it all plays got.

I happen to be a huge fan of C C Gibbs and her series with Dominic Knight.

The level of beauty in her phrasing and the creation of characters is so wonderful, the characters could walk off the page as real people.
The love story goes from hot and sensual to heart breaking with us always understanding why which is a huge change with most books. I am dying for the final chapter in this love story and am off to see where it takes me.

4.5 SEXY KNIGHT STARS

This was a BR with CC Gibbs fans and it was awesome! I loved this one more than the first book. The story picked up right from the end of All He Wants and the fire between Nick and Kate continued to rage on.

description

Dominic was more dominant in this one. Perhaps he let loose more and grabbed more control as he felt Kate was more comfortable with him? No matter what, it was HOT.

 photo Dominicbk2_zps26931cc0.jpg

I found the dialogue was still fantastic and while Kate certainly could give as good as she got, Dominic's quips were priceless. Some of my faves:

"Christ, dealing with you is like rewriting the fucking Art of War."

“Have you…no fucking…respect?”
“Respect?” Dominic looked at her with amusement. “What are you – some Southern belle for Christ’s sake?” His voice was mellow.
“No one gives a shit about that. Unless you’d like to respect my wishes and spread your legs.”

description

Ms. Gibbs does a great job of carefully peeling back the layers of Dominic as he and Kate get to know each other better. Really got a better understanding of Nick and why he does and says what he does. You could also see that both Nick and Kate were still on the edge with fear and uncertainty but they were getting closer to love, acceptance and trust.

Along with the romance, erotic, steamy sex and angst, there was a WTF moment for me and I really enjoyed. I did not see it coming!

5 All I Needed Stars!

What a fabulous game Mr. Knight has played to get his ultimate prize...the private paradises, the wardrobe, the constant pleasures...

Only now he has lost the one thing that he really needed. Did he walk away...or did Kate make the ending her final win? Are they toxic for one another? How can two people, practically strangers be so consumed? Nothing good can come of moving forward...

However, it really does not matter because with a passion like theirs, no amount of time or space would break the need they created.

Indefinitely marked by one another, ruined for any future relationships, Dominick and Kate have no choice but to grab onto each other and "see where it goes"!

The fabulous progression of this series as we go through the emotions of what is Domick experiencing?...what is happening to him?...what is Kate doing to him?...

At this point I am not even sure if Dominick knows what or how to comprehend LOVE...but lust, pure raw need, and a connection so deep that everyone is left in awe...this he is experiencing. Kate completely owns this man!

There is continued dominance in every part of Kate's life, continued manipulation to make her his, and sexual persuasion that walks a fine line between so wrong and yet so right! I am in awe of C.C. Gibbs and her unique tale. From the POV in which this tale is told, to the creation of 2 of the most unique characters that I hate to love! I cannot wait to see where the next phase of their lives take them for with a "LOVE" like theirs, I have no doubt that the ride will be explosive!

Dominic Knight never thought walking away from a woman would have consequences, that he would regret it... that it would hurt. But now that his time with Kate abruptly came to an end, he is ready to use is wealth and power to get what he wants. And a man like Mr. Knight always> gets what he wants.

Kate made her choices but that doesn’t change the hurt that she feels. For just a handful of days she had the man that every woman desired. But that kind of man is not the kind to be tamed. She can’t change her mind now, she just has to move on. But she has no idea just what lengths Dominic is going to go to get her back into his arms, into his bed.

As Dominic and Kate reunite, they find that nothing has changed, they still fight like crazy and turn each other on like no other. But life’s never simple. There is far too much in Dominic’s past for him to fully admit what it is he is feeling, all he knows is that he doesn’t want to suffer again like he did without her. Life has other plans in store for these two though. Some choices aren’t black and white. Sometimes hard decisions are made to protect the ones you love, even when they can’t understand them.

I’ve seen a few mixed reviews on the second book in this trilogy so far. I went into this series completely blind and found that I enjoyed book two, just a slight bit less than book one. Not due to the authors ability to write, the same things I loved about book one were all present, the steam and the humor... a little more drama as the story unfolded.

I loved seeing a bit more into Dominic’s life and his past. Seeing him interact with his sister and her kids along with him exposing some of his childhood. As much as Dominic grew emotionally in the second book, he still has a ways to go. I am looking forward to what CC Gibbs has in store for us with the last book in the trilogy, to see if these two can reach their own happily ever after with the craziness of his company and the influence from the outside world.

3.75 "Dominic didn't grovel enough" stars

This book was...a full played out drama, big drama...and although I still hold my reservations towards them both, Dominic and Kate...things got better nearing the end...

I won't say much further in my own words BUT I will use these lyrics since they perfectly capture this fucking mash up drama with these two...

"You Win Again"

I couldn't figure why
You couldn't give me what everybody needs
I shouldn't let you kick me when I'm down
My baby
I find out everybody know that
You've been using me
I'm surprised you
Let me stay around you
One day I'm gonna lift the cover
And look inside your heart
We gotta level before we go
And tear this love apart

[CHORUS]
There's no fight you can't fight
This battle of love with me
You win again
So little time
We do nothing but compete
There's no life on earth
No other could see me through
You win again
Some never try
But if anybody can, we can
And I'll be, I'll be
Following you

Oh baby I shake you from now on
I'm gonna break down your defenses
One by one
I'm gonna hit you from all sides
Lay your fortress open wide
Nobody stops this body from
Taking you

You better beware, I swear
I'm gonna be there one day when you fall
I could never let you cast aside
The greatest love of all

I don't need to say a lot:

Did you like the first book?

◆YES. Then you won't miss this one.
◆NO. What are you doing here?

My impressions:

♥ I like Dominic in the second book even more than in the first one.Yeah it is possible! He is not JUST a shameless, jaw-dropping beautiful and sexually talented prick, he is demandig, occasionally coercive, always in controll and at the same time he is incredibly gentle tender charming witty honest und mind-bogglingly intense!..
♥I like Kate less than in the first book. If you think I am just green with envy...Maybe you are right-she has Dominic Knight and a myriad of multiple orgasms per day/hour!
♥Sex is SUPER HOT, MINDBLOWING, EXTREMELY STEAMY! I have to add a new shelf hot-hot!
♥There is a suspence part that brings change and a new swing both in the relationship between Dominic and Kate and the story in general.
♥It is not the last book of the trilogy, but I am very much relieved because there is no cliffhanger at the end of the second part!

Warning:
Don't try to break the record of Kate in the quantity of orgasms. You will fail!!!

I am hooked and need to know what happens next!

Yet another mini-series that could have been a rock star if written as ONE WHOLE NOVEL!!!

There are moments in this book where I can see why this author's other books are bestsellers and then there are moments when I feel like this book was written by an amateur. Yeah I get it... they love sex and she can climax 300 times in a row and he can keep it up like a superhero... but as a reader seeking more than just a hot fix I would have liked a bigger portion of the book to be devoted to a deeper plot line, not so MANY descriptions of his deeper penetration.

For me, an erotic romance is more kinky in nature with things that go beyond the missionary position thus separating it from a typical romance book. Not the quantity of times they get off together, so to call THIS book an erotica is not accurate (in my opinion). The scenes are very vanilla in nature, though Kate does seem to get off on angry sex, one scene borders on rape, but she just rolls over and takes it, as any submissive should, though she isn't really submissive so much as she is addicted. So don't expect a lot of "red-room-of-pain" moments. I think that we need to add another subgenre to romances...dysfunctional romance with a side of kink.

I compare "erotica/romance" novels to 50 Shades (seeing as to how it brought erotica out to the mainstream); what sets this book below 50 is the fact that the sex in 50 was on level with the percentage of plotline written. The erotic scenes left me wanting more in 50 Shades, not skipping over them which happens more and more in these "so called" erotica romances.

What makes the writing seem amateur is the OVER use of certain words and phases... get a phase book!

Here is where my love comes in... if you take the mini-series as one whole novel, with a few glossed over sex scenes and some removed G-Ds and more creative cries of ecstasy then this would be a 5 star, compete-with-50-Shades level book.

With all that said... I have to say that I am looking forward to the third part... I just hope I can get my hands on the UK version so that I don't have to wait a year to read the third installment. The books aren't difficult to read, in fact they are enjoyable, if you aren't reading it as a reviewer or a self proclaimed connoisseur of bodice ripping novels. I did finish this book and the previous book, and found myself wanting more, I care about the characters and want to know how the series ends. I can't say the same about the growing list of books I haven't finished.

Just to let you know, I was given this book and book one for free, via Netgalley, in exchange for my true and honest opinion of the books.

Fuck this book.

No means no. It doesn't mean go ahead and force yourself on a lady anyway, even if she's so TSTL that she's like "LOL, I mean, yeah, that hurt, and I didn't actually want you to do it, but now that you're in there, I needs it... I NEEDS IT." No. Fuck that.

DNF. (And anger. Lots of anger.)

Another one of Mr. Knight beautiful homes.

Book 2 of Dominic and Kathleen relationship exceeded my expectations. This is a CC Gibbs novel so of course Dom/Kat sexual bond is intense, sensual, and steamy but the richness of the story is what enthralled me.

There is so much happening in this sequel of the trilogy. Well… just a few tidbits:
- Dom friends’ reaction to his relationship with Kat is priceless. Dom parents are wealthy a—holes. His sister Melanie and her family are adorable and the stabilizing force in his life.
- The trials of the rich and famous can be quite perilous and crazy – you gotta read the book.
- Kat is pretty much justified for being a giant pain in the ass with Dom in this book. But Dom is like a DREAM with his charisma, sexual appeal/energy, wealth, power, strength.
- The type of sexual control Dom exerts over Kat is tantalizing but (too me) kind of scary and definitely some HOT stuff! Even though his overall need for control is extremely strong he met his match with Kate. You will understand more the reasoning being Dom domineering and controlling personality.
- Kat is able to acknowledge and vocalize her feelings for Dom, whereby Dom struggles to do the same.

I adored Dominic and Kathleen. I also connected more with Kat reactions. I found myself constantly “rooting” for them to overcome all the internal and external obstacles. The ending of Book 2 left me completely satisfied so now I’m just impatiently waiting for the next release. To describe this story my 3 adjectives are EXTRAORDINARY, STUPENDOUS, AND CAPTIVATING!

Knights Game in the UK. All He Needs in the US. It's the follow on from Knights Mistress.
Dominic Knight will stop at nothing to get Katherine back and after the cliff hanger in the last book, I'm glad he's back.
In this book Dominic and Katherine have to face new threats to their relationship. Gora a member of a Mafiosi family organisation is one.
Factor in Dominic's bitch of a Mother and a few past flirtations, you can see all is not plain sailing for our lovely couple.
The sex, and believe me there is a lot of very hot scorchio love making in this book is off the richtor scale. In fact I dropped a star because I wanted to get into the story faster and when It came, bang I couldn't flick my kindle pages fast enough.
Katherine isn't your usual push over heroine, she's gutsy to the point and doesn't take any BS off Dominic. You can feel their chemistry jumping off the pages and I found myself highlighting many quotes, especially their little verbal battles that more often than not ended up with "mind blowing sex."

C.C. Gibbs has done It again, brilliant series and I cannot wait for the third book out later this year, Knight Takes Queen.
If you enjoyed Jodi Ellen Malpas - This Man you will love this series.

Enjoy.

This one is a bit better. But, I can't get used to the author spending so much time on a few days and then when you get to the last quarter of the book it's a rush to the finish.

I just don't love this as much as everyone else. There were a few sweet moments and a few that were kinda hot. But for the most part, it was just a way to pass the time. No I'm so far in, I can't not read the rest of it.
