Journey #2

Limitless

Rate this book
The follow up to Chasing Leah. Did Chase and Leah end up together after his fast marriage proposal? Or did she run the other way like she tends to do? All of those questions and then some will be answered in Limitless, the continuation of the Journey series. One things for sure Leah's journey is a bumpy one, but definitely interesting.

"Our journey might have been a bumpy one but I wouldn't have it any other way. Each experience we had gone through, we had went through together and I think, it had changed for the better. Together with Caleb we were a family and that bond couldn't be broken."

I don't even know how to write this up without giving anything away, because it really is something you need to read along the way. I could not believe ALL the shit that happened in this book, soooo much DRAMA to a point where I was even rolling my eyes. How could so much go wrong, so fast,it was all just f'd up!
"Of course, dear old Mom just had to go and mess everything up..."

Regardless of the drama, we got to the HEA which made me happy to finally see Leah's luck finally turn in her favor.

Absolutely terrible! This book didn't have the same flow and direction as the first book. I felt it was rushed and the storyline jumped from one issue to the next. Marriage, pregnancy, depression, abuse etc.. So many issues was shoved in one book that it was ridiculous. I didn't feel the connection between Leah or Chase like the first book, every now and then there was a supposedly steamy love scene which I wasn't feeling. Felt like two people going at it on a page while I was reading. Overall I felt it was rushed and a big shame that such a great story from book one was ruined.

Wow, just when life seems perfect, Leah gets to go through a bunch more crap. Chase is unbelievably sweet and his love for Leah is so strong. He is SWOON worthy for sure. I wish the epilogue wasn't so far into the future because I would be able to read about Chase and Leah forever!! I love the kind of relationship they have. It's so loving and sweet. The bumps they go though break my heart, but happen to everyone. I love hat Aly and Teddy found their HEA but wish we could read about Remy and Mark finding theirs as well. Are there more to come in this series?

This book picks up right after chasing leah. Leah has agreed to marry Chase and you would think this would mean the beginning of their happily ever after but where is the fun in that. this book has its ups and downs Leah and Chase go through some really emotional challenges that no only test their own resolve but the resolve of them being a couple. Without giving away the story you see what it is like to go through the trial that can possibly break a couple and see them find a light at the end of the tunnel. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Ehh. I kinda had to push through to finish this one. I feel like this book wasn't really necessary and the story could have ended with the last book if just a little more had been added.

Limitless (book 2) starts a few months after Chasing Leah ends. We don't immediately find out the answer to the question Chase asks Leah at the end but don't worry you won't be disappointed.

I feel like so much happened in this book. (If you haven't read Chasing Leah, than wait to read Limitless until you have as Limitless is a continuation.)

Poor Leah, who has gone through so much, is once again tested physically, mentally and emotionally in Limitless. She's in an accident, loses a baby, almost gets murdered and comes way too close to ruining her HEA with Chase.

There are still a few annoying spelling and writing errors but nowhere near as bad as those in Chasing Leah.

The worst part of this story for me was Ally's new relationship with Teddy. I just could not like him. Ally is such a bright ray of sunshine and I just can't stand her with a man whore like Teddy. In some ways I side with Leah who can't understand their relationship either, but realizes that it's not her place to judge.

I was shocked by the sudden arrival of Caleb's father. He turned out to be a decent and trustworthy guy who is smart enough to not try and take Caleb away. The issue with his whacked out girlfriend was upsetting because it just goes to show how much you think you can know someone but in reality not have a clue. It's too bad Leah has no idea who her father is, I thought at some point she would open the letter she received from her mother in book one, so we could see if there was any more information pertaining to her own paternity but she never opens it.

After Leah suffers her trauma, I thought her depression was very realistic. Again, Chase just proves his awesome swoon-worthyness by not only taking care of her but dealing with his own heartache and Caleb at the same time. He is such a great guy and father to Caleb I thought that something they would touch on would be (now that they are married) to become Caleb's legal guardian, especially, considering if something happened to Leah, Caleb would be lost in the system or taken from Chase and given to his real father. Also why does Caleb not call Chase Daddy like he calls her Mommy.

Aside from the continuation of drama, Limitless, has a lot more sex and some of it is rather detailed, so those under 18 should proceed with caution.

The second book in the Chasing Leah series by C.A. Williams does not disappoint. Chase and Leah’s story consists of grief, misfortunes and love. Love isn’t a fairytale. In relationships there are misfortunes, complications and a couple must support and lean each other to withstand trying times. Chase and Leah have their unconditional love and support as well as the support and love of their family and friends but is it enough?

The depth in this story is unlike others. Chase and Leah face real life issues with real life consequences. “God damnit Leah! You’re driving me f****n’ insane. I can’t deal with this shit anymore. I’ve tried so hard and you aren’t doing a damn thing. I’m done.” Limitless is not simply a story about love but also about tragedy, grief and the strength of a families love. The love story about Chase and Leah is full of emotions such as joy, grief, sadness, hate, humor or passion. Are love and support enough to overcome tragedy?

Limitless is scheduled for release in February. For release updates please visit C.A. Williams page at http://cawilliams.weebly.com/ or her facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/messages/#!/a....

hmm.

I enjoyed the series, but I still felt like it was rushed and too short. Book 2 had more drama crammed into that would have really allowed you to get invested into both Leah and Chase if you had more time to go through the motions with them both. Even after reading the book some revelations made about Ally at the end did not connect for me because she was not given a real fighting chance of having a personality.

I think that overall the ideas were great, the story could have been strung out longer and really worked completely. There is a fine line between too long and too short. It is hard balance to find sometimes. I just felt that in this book that there was so much thrown your way that could have impacted your emotional connection to the characters and when it just jumped to months down the road you missed your shot at that.

But, I still really liked Chase's character. I think I am drawn way more into the male parts than the chicks - even if told solely from their point of view. Chase was a sweetie pie. I could have fallen in love with this series with just a bit more detail, but I did enjoy the light read.

3 stars for the first 75%...Zero stars for the rest

First, let me say that the writing has definitely improved since the first book. There are way less typos in this one. The dialogue still seems stilted to me.

For such a short book, there is way too much going on here.

Leah was her usual self-absorbed/martyr self. It's baffling that Chase is so in love with her. She treats him like crap and he just takes it!

Chase is a teacher and (of course) has the teen girls falling all over him. There is a misconduct allegation, but before it really becomes part of the story line, it's over. I felt like all the story lines in this book sort of started and then floundered out without a good explanation.

The situation with Sheila and Caleb about 75% into the book, pretty much ruined it for me. It was beyond ridiculous! I felt like I was watching the lamest episode of Scooby Doo ever! Complete with a hand-wringin/maniacal laughing villain. I was just waiting for her to say "I would have gotten away with it too, if it hadn't been for Leah!" Unbelievable doesn't even cover it.

Great follow up to Chasing Leah and I think I like it better than the first one!

How can so much happen to two people and yet they seem to survive? Leah and Chase are together, but are still searching for their happily ever after.

There is a TON of drama in this love story, which you hope makes a couple stronger in the end. This review is harder to write without spoilers as there is just too many twists and turns this time.

I thought this was a fantastic follow up book that does answer questions from Chasing Leah and makes you love their little family even more.

A review to come soon.

So the book starts a couple of months after the first one ended. Chase and Leah are in love more than ever but their start to their new life is bumpy. I loved how the story moved along. It was very emotional. I like that the just couldn't take it any more and divorce. I'm glad the author didn't do that. That would have pissed me off.

Chase can you like walk out of the book and be my husband??? Please!

I had no idea that this was going to turn into a series but I was happy to have another novel by C.A. Williams. I did like this on but the story was a bit fucked up with the whole insane Sheila woman and the Brittany girl as well. I was sad when they lost the baby too. Overall I didn't think it was as good as the first one but it was close.

I actually liked the first one better. This was was ok, I liked the closure it provided for me and that I got another glimpse into these characters lives, but it was a little slow and I found my mind drifting a bit.
