I once thought one of my ruthless boys could be the killer I’m hunting. They’re all dark, deadly and more than capable of brutality.

But now I’m held by the King I’ve been stalking in the shadows and when I unmask him, he’ll realise he made a huge mistake in taking my brother from this world.

My Kings are coming for me, I know that in my soul. They’re on their way to rip me from my enemy’s arms and tear him apart for me.

My heart beats to the sound of their names.

But I won’t wait around to be rescued. Everything has led me to this moment and I’m ready to destroy the Fae who stole my brother from me.

Secrets will be uncovered. Destiny will be decided. Death will deliver us all in the end.

No one will escape the conclusion of this story without blood on their hands. I guess it’s a good thing I’m a Vampire then, because I just so happen to have a taste for blood.

Start with series with book one, Dark Fae.

A predictable end to an enjoyable series.

It was a 4.5 star (despite the predictable nature of the book) read up till that never ending epilogue. The epilogue just stretched on and on and on and on for nothing. I would've preferred if the epilogue had ended with just a simple briefing and with Gabriel's vision of the Vega twins. That would've been chef's kiss in my opinion but it was extremely loaded up with nothing.

I liked how it was more action packed compared to Broken Fae. I definitely loved the character growth of Gabriel (obviously) and Ryder (also obviously). Gabriel and Ryder easily carried this book for me. Elise was impressive but I wished she would've been more empowered. The Elise we saw in Dark Fae prologue was never seen again and that was disappointing for me. Dante and Leon didn't do much for me sadly.

One thing I noticed, (just comparing Vampires) Lance and Caleb don't have such extreme blood craving. But Elise is all over the place. Is it something to do with the bond she shares with the four men or are female vampires built different?

I had predicated the identity of King early on and the Elysian mates thing as well. So it wasn't too shocking for me. 'King' wasn't as lethal as I was expecting him to be. The Reverse Harem was done well in this series and the spice was amazingly done. Once again, it was bit of a let down how the authors handled the Gareth situation but I'm overlooking that cause honestly I expected it.

Ruthless boys of the Zodiac, although has an interesting premise but the execution is slightly weaker which is why Zodiac Academy is always going to be the superior series.

I give it 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. I recommend the series if you want something spicy with likable characters and an interesting world building.

Wow. That one was intense.

I apologize in advance, this is not a review as much as a compilation of some of my favorite moments in this book, and how everything they say or do makes me smile… Be prepared for a lot of quotes, Disney references, and immature sexual jokes.

If he hadn’t realised that we were his death yet, then he was about to get a rude awakening. Because we all stood here as kings beside their queen, our home threatened by this beast. And he was about to find out what happened to the people who crossed us.

This book is a big one, and it’s full of action, betrayal, death, emotions, and twists. There was also some foreshadowing for Zodiac Academy, and rereading this series after reading ZA, I picked up some clues and details that I didn’t during my first read.

Warrior Fae picks up right where the previous book ended, as the guys are trying to get Elise back after she’s been kidnapped by King, but that’s only a teeny tiny bit of what they need to accomplish. They need to finally figure out what happened to Gareth, and if he’s dead or not, because there were some clues left that indicated that he might have faked his death, stop King before he causes even more deaths, fight angry gang members out for Ryder’s blood, and try not to die along the way.

The “Gareth plotline” has been stretched out for 5 long books, a little too long in my opinion, but it’s finally come to an end, and thankfully there was also the bigger problem of King, because I was honestly a little tired of the “who killed Gareth” mystery. I wanted to know, but at the same time, a part of me was just pissed that this dragged on for 5 books.

What I really, REALLY loved about this final book, is that I was able to enjoy SO MANY incredible moments between Leon, Ryder, Dante, and Gabriel. I love them all so much, and their little bromances were everything to me for the past 2 weeks. I love everything about them, and they made me laugh and cry in this final book. Their little moments were so funny, intense, and cute. 🖤🖤🖤

Ryder showed me his left wrist, the Scorpio tattoo now embellished with intricate feathers surrounding it and the words My Hope curving underneath it. I followed the line of his forearm up to the Leo tattoo surrounded by flames with the words My Joy beneath it. Beyond that, he’d inked the Gemini symbol to his flesh with lightning daggering around it and the words My Mercy under it. Next was the Aquarius symbol with a rainbow arching over it like the stroke of a paintbrush and beneath it were the words My Duty, and finally Elise’s symbol of Libra with small Xs all around it like the mark he had branded on his chest. The words My Life sat beneath it and I looked up at Ryder with a frown.

My heart broke for Ryder in this book, and I love him more with each book. I felt so bad for him when almost everyone around him turned their back on him, but then he found himself a new family, a true one that would love him no matter what, and it was so heartwarming to see him realize that he was not alone anymore. He's such a sweetheart inside (hidden beneath all the sneer and grumpiness). He started to show his affection more in this book, and not just for Elise. He realized that he needed the guys too and that having real friends was not a weakness, it was something that he needed, even though he didn't know he needed it.

“You need to lock that shit down. What’s it even about?” I asked, trying not to Order shame him, but by the stars, I would never understand the social Orders and their weird ass tactile ways.
“It’s a dominance thing. I’m an Alpha Lion, I get urges to dominate my Lionesses from time to time,” he said casually and my eyes narrowed.
“I think we need to have a discussion about our group being called a ‘pride’. I’m not a Lioness, and I’m sure as shit not submissive.”

"Get in here for a pride huddle," Leon urged, wheeling me towards Dante and slinging his free arm around Ryder's neck as he tugged him in close too.
"Get the fuck off of me, Simba," Ryder hissed, shoving his arm back off and stepping aside. "I'm not in your damn pride."
"Okay, keep telling yourself that, Scar. But I'm gonna bet, when we have our next pride orgy, you'll be right there, whipping your trouser snake out and putting one of those cool hats on it for the party."

Leon is relentless when it comes to keeping his pride of Lionesses together and it made me laugh so much. He keeps on calling the guys Elise’s or his “lionesses” or his “boyfriends-in-law” and forces his love on them, slowly but surely growing up on them. He realized a long time ago that they were all meant to end up together, and that the other guys don’t really have a say in the matter, they will all become Elise’s lionesses and live happily ever after no matter what. I have to say, you have to admire the guy’s positivity and determination when it comes to his pride, and that made him the MVP in this harem since book 3. His scrapbook pictures, the tiny snake hats he bought, and his singing were hilarious, as were most other random things he did. He always cracks me up.

I threw out a palm, casting a vine which wrapped around his throat, feeding on his pain, a dark expression pulling at my face as I watched him choke.
“Sky blue…cobalt…sapphire… ooh cerulean,” Leon cooed as he watched him changing colour, standing close behind me. He leaned in near to my ear, his breath on my neck. “Make him indigo for me, Scar.”

Leon is such a positive and sunshine-y character! Not only because he is the one insisting that they all become a pride and stay together and all love each other, but also because he is so laid back and chill, and (almost) always finds a reason to smile or have fun, even when the situation is not meant to be funny.

“Everyone let your magic flow toward mine. You can feel it in Elise, really deep in her. Can you feel me inside her?”
“Dalle stelle, do you have to say it like that?” Dante breathed as Ryder grunted.
“What’s wrong with how I’m saying it?” I asked tauntingly. “I’m just making it clear that you can feel my power really deep and now I’m reaching it out to you all. Can you feel it burying itself in you? Can you feel the tip of it pushing in?”
“For the love of the moon, Leon,” Gabriel snapped. “We can all feel it.”

"That's why you and Elise will power share to make it. Aaaand, I think me and Dante should slip a little in too. So that it's from all of us. All you have to do is open up and let us drive some inside you. I promise you can take it."
"Why the fuck do you always have to phrase shit like that?" Ryder asked while Dante laughed loudly, his amusement making sparks fly from his skin and brush against the rest of us.

Okay, maybe it makes me an immature person, but their sexual innuendos still make me smile every time.

"Is that a snake in your pocket?" I began, biting back a laugh as an angry little snake head poked out of Gabriel's pants pocket and hissed his hatred at this joke which I would never get tired of. "Or are you just pleased to-"
The mini snake lunged out of Gabriel’s pocket and sank its little fangs into my finger, making me curse and laugh at the same time before it fell from my hand and slithered towards the door to the men’s room on our left. He hadn’t used his venom though, so I guessed he wasn’t that pissed.

Gabriel scooped me up, slipping me into his pocket and I wriggled around to get more comfortable. He started laughing, patting me lightly. “Stop it, that tickles.”
I hissed angrily, managing to poke my head out and glaring up at him which only made him laugh harder. “You’re so fucking cute like that, Ryder,” he snorted then his wings burst from his back and he took off into the sky.
I bit his leg through his sweatpants to show him what I thought of that comment, but he only laughed louder as he raced for the stars. Maybe I’d use venom next time.

I know it’s been happening since book 3 or 4, but tiny snake Ryder traveling into Gabriel’s pocket is still so funny and cute.

“The only thing I have in common with that snowman is that my heart is made of ice. And you’d better remember it, baby.”
Her throat bobbed and her chest heaved as I held her there, her lips parting and her eyes filling with lust.
“By the stars, he’s watched Frozen,” Leon whispered mostly to himself and I bared my teeth at him.

"So tell me, Ryder," Leon pressed as he jogged forward and slung an arm around the Basilisk's neck. "Are you team Anna or team Elsa?"
Ryder growled and shoved his arm off as he started to stride towards Ethan. "I'm not having this dumb as fuck discussion with you, Simba," he said in a firm tone. "Just let it go."
Leon's mouth fell open in shock and he turned back to face the three of us while Ryder kept walking away and I couldn't help but laugh. "Did you hear that?" Leon gushed. "He told me to let it go. Oh my stars he's so fucking in love with me and Frozen!"

“Has he calmed down yet?”
“No, but how do you feel about singing Hakuna Matata to him?” Dante asked seriously and Ryder barked a dry laugh.

I LOVE Disney, and imagining tough grumpy Ryder watching Disney animation movies is hilarious and so heartwarming at the same time. He clearly is a softy deep down inside, and the Disney banter in this book expended as it’s not only about The Lion King now, but also about Frozen and other movies.

I shot our location to Orion and a beat later, a knock came at the door. I moved to answer it and grinned at him as I let him inside. “Hey man.”
“Hey Lance!” Leon ran over and I slammed a hand to his chest to stop him from licking Orion, making him purse his lips at me.
“Hello Leon,” Orion said tightly. “Let’s respect everyone’s boundaries today, yeah?”

I like that Lance is still a part of the intrigue, and how Gabriel and he have grown close to each other even though we didn’t see it happen. Leon’s obsession with Orion is also still very much present, and it also made me smile a few times. Everything Leon does makes me smile… Back to Lance, wtf happened to him?! Everything was nice and swell, and then we saw him with this mysterious and dark aura near the end.
*Edit: after reading ZA, I now understand what happened to him, but still, it sucks. Poor guy…

“Wear your pain as armour, Rosalie,” I told her firmly. “There is nothing more frightening in this world than a Fae who can bleed in front of their enemies without flinching.”

While we didn’t see a lot of Rosalie in this book, I really like what we saw of her (and her bonding with Ryder over their past trauma was EVERYTHING), and I am also very curious about the Darkmore series because I really liked Roary and I NEED to see him free and happy, so I will give this series a try too, even though it’s not completed yet and I know I will probably regret my decision once I’m done with book 3 and left on a cliffhanger… I also really love the little we saw of Ethan, and knowing that we will also see more of him in the Darkmore series makes me even more excited to read it.

Overall, this is a great series that I enjoyed much more than I thought I would! The plot is a little weak and stretched on, and Elise's obsession with sex was a little annoying at times, but the four guys were just so amazing and perfect, that it made this series one of my favorites, and definitely one I will reread in the future.

The fifth and final book of the Ruthless Boys series was decidedly better then the previous book, it still had some major issues but at least the plot came in to focus a lot more and the development of certain characters was really fantastic. The comedy in this book is so good, I can't deny I was in stitches half the time. There was still way too much smut in favor of plot and my hatred for Elise was completely solidified in this book. (Girl can seriously fall off a cliff as far as I am concerned, I said what I said.) The epilogues also went on forever, it was so odd. I did like seeing their family evolve but it was a weird choice considering that the epilogues went way passed events that will eventually happen in ZA but there was no mention of the twins or the state of Solaria which I understand but then why even go there if you can't be clear? I feel like there will be some plot holes bc of it.

I feel like there are two moods in this book, when it's the guys interacting, the plot is moving forward and character development is happening and it's magic, then Elise will come on the page and it's just smut and lust and any plot is thrown out the window. All the character growth happens with the guys and it happens mainly within their interactions. Elise has absolutely zero growth this entire series.

I actually do feel like this book is a beautiful love story and the meaning of finding your family and your place in the world with the right people but to me it's the guys finding each other and Elise is kind of just there.

Ryder is the heart and soul of this book and the main reason I don't regret reading this series. His story was worth it alone. What a beautiful journey from start to finish, he is by far my favorite character besides Gabriel. And bonus!!! the imagery of his cute little snake form in costume doing a photo shoot is forever ingrained in my brain, total highlight! I am hoping he makes a more solid appearance in ZA bc he is amazing.

Dante didn't really get as much time in this book but probably bc he is the one that is the most emotionally evolved but seeing him open up his home and family to Ryder and their blind faith, love and loyalty to follow him and embrace Ryder was so touching. I loved Dante from book one, his vibe never changes and I love his family bonds, especially with Rosalie.

Leon is just comedy gold. There isn't much to say except he is the glue that keeps them all together and he is precious, except when he is throwing a tantrum! Without Leon there is no pride, it really is him that makes it all work.

Gabriel really got the short end of the stick in this series which is not what I was expecting at all. I loved getting to know him a little better and meeting Bill was awesome. Seeing him struggle with his gifts was interesting but I was hoping we were going to get more of him and Orion but it was pretty sparse. I loved when Leon and Ryder went to meet Bill and Ryder and Gabriel's friendship is my FAVORITE! They are like puzzle pieces that fit perfectly together. BUT!!!!! Elise treats Gabriel like shit! Even when they got their divine moment it was so anticlimactic, they went to a political rally afterwards like nothing had just happened! What?! So, weird. Every other time she had a divine moment she was tearing their clothes off but Gabriel just kind of got nothing.

Elise. Ok here we go, I really hate this woman. I barely tolerated her before but this book tipped the scales to hating her. She is so full of crap! All she thinks about is sex, all the time, that is her entire personality. Her grief for Gareth feels hollow and inauthentic if it weren't for Gabriel her ass would be absolutely no where as far as finding out who killed him. Gabriel basically is the one that is solving this crime and putting himself in danger to figure it out. So what does he get in return? A punch in the face!!! Yep, that's right, his vision isn't clear and they follow a lead that doesn't turn out as they'd hoped and Elise punches him in the face!!!! HELL NO! I was done with her at that point. He did not deserve that at all and she didn't even apologize!!! And the worst of it is that Gabriel is already riddled with guilt all the time bc he feels like he is failing her bc he doesn't have all the answers. So yeah, let's punch him in the face bc that will make him feel cherished and equal to the other guys that all have Elysian mate bonds except him. What an asshole!!!!

ZA EASTER EGGS!!!! SPOILERS!!!!!

Here is everything I learned that you may want to know for ZA. Warning spoilers for Fated Throne and Heartless Sky!

What you need to know about Gabriel's family.

-Dante/storm dragon. Air elemental. Leader of the Oscura gang. Uncle to Rosalie Oscura. Lionel blackmails him by threatening to put Rosalie in Darkmore bc of a robbery she committed. In return for not sending her to prison Lionel wants Dante to impregnate his niece so that he may create his own army of storm dragons that are loyal to him, even though there is no guarantee that any of their offspring will be storm dragons bc Dante himself is an anomaly. Dante gets around this by giving him a sperm sample that actually belongs to the middle Kipling brother, the one who is attracted to cake. So the children that are subsequently born and you meet in the books are actually Kiplings offspring not Dante's children. Dante also has a video of Lionel screwing a pegasus that he tries to use as leverage.

-Ryder/Basilisk. Earth elemental. Ex leader of the Lunar Brotherhood. (presumed dead) has a secret identity to live in peace. Fake name is Colin and his fake physical form has Disney tattoos all over his arms. His order is immune to poison and can make antivenom. He can pull you into illusions that you think are real and can camouflage himself or others into looking like whoever he wants. He does this in Fated Thrones to Gabriel. When Gabriel says a friend helped him look like Mildred, he is talking about Ryder. Ryder replenishes his power through pain, emotional and physical.

-Leon/Nemean Lion Shifter. Fire elemental. Member of the Knight family, the best most notorious thieves in Solaria. He is an insane fan of pitball and eventually becomes a professional pitball player. He was a huge Lance Orion fan when they were in school bc Lance Orion was the best pitball player in their school league and was destined to be a huge star. He is quite obsessed with Lance and suggest an Orgy with Lance and the rest multiple times. Lance declines. Roary Knight is Leon's older brother who gets sent to Darkmore while on a mission with Leon, Rosalie, Dante and Elise to steal a dark artifact from Lionel. Roary sacrifices himself to save Rosalie and is sent to prison. No one in the history of the Knight family has ever been captured before and it brings shame on the family. Orion and Roary are at Darkmore at the same time and have several interactions. Calls Gabriel Gabe and Gabe always responds with Don’t call me Gabe. It’s a running gag.

-Elise/Vampire. Air elemental. Elise is actually an Altair and cousin to Caleb. Her father is Melinda Altair's brother who had been kidnapped and tortured for almost 20 years before they found him and freed him. Melinda embraces Elise immediately and brings her into the fold of the family as does Caleb.

-Gabriel, you probably already know his details so I will just get to the easter eggs. He has several visions of twin flames and phoenixes. He sees the twins several times even though he doesn't know who they are yet. He sees visions of the palace and the Hydra symbol but they are pretty meaningless to him until later in ZA.
Lance and Gabriel have an immediate connection, since they are both solitary and loners it's pretty clear how powerful the immediate pull is to each other.

-Lance Orion. He meets Gabriel and the gang in a ZA/Aurora academy exchange that also culminates with a pitball game between the two schools. Gabriel, Ryder, Dante, Leon and Elise all go to Zodiac academy and Lance gives them a school tour. They all pretty much like him except Ryder bc he doesn't like anyone. It's actually really sad to see Lance here bc he is so happy and excited about his future. he doesn't even drink alcohol at all bc he is so focused on his dream of playing pro pitball.
Lance is invited back to the hotel with everyone to watch a pitball game with them and during that visit Lance's vampire nature causes him to challenge Elise for her sources. Lance is way more powerful then Elise bc he is a double elemental and he offers a no magic fight to make it more fair. Elise beats him by playing dirty. (total BS btw) No hard feelings are won and they are friends afterwards regardless.
The pitball game is played and Leon is in a rage bc of a fight he has with Elise. Lance tries to help by telling him to focus even though he is on the other team but Leon doesn't listen and Orion plays like a superstar and Zodiac wins the game.
Gabriel meets up with Lance at the afterparty and they leave the party to talk where Lance starts eating some Oreos that were gifted to him by a fan. Lance suddenly starts coming on to Gabriel Gabriel realizes that the Oreos are laced with a lust potion and takes Lance to find an antidote all the while Orion is trying to get busy with him. (Super funny scene.) After Lance sobers up Gabriel asks for Lance's help with dark magic and they both sense they can trust each other and Orion agrees to help him.
Throughout the rest of the books Orion shows up sporadically and continues to help them with dark magic and offers them protections and information to aid their mission.
THE BIG SECRET!!!!!
Gabriel goes to ZA distraught, looking for his friend Orion after finding out that all three of the other men in the harem have had their divine moment and are now all Elysian mates leaving him the only one who isn't bonded. Orion takes him to his room and offers him some protein snacks that were given to him by his coach. Gabriel immediately shoves several in his mouth as he is emotionally eating and sad. He starts to feel uncomfortable and realizes that his genitals are starting to engorge. His genitals keep enlarging and won't stop, Orion calls Francesca for help and they deduce that they were sabotaged by Frans roommate as revenge bc Orion slept with her and didn't call. Orion maintains it's BS bc he was clear with her and everyone knows he doesn't date, hookups only as pitball is his only focus. All the while poor Gabriel's penis is now bigger then him and he can barely stand bc of the weight, Lance runs over to help and gets smacked in the face by Gabriels dick. Comedy ensues. They eventually find an antidote and Orion swears to keep this secret and they fall apart laughing over the absurdity.

Ok friends! That's all I got! I hope to GOD that someone finds this info useful bc that was the longest review I have ever written! ❤️

trigger warning: cake fucking, cum with a touch of cake crumbles on the side, animals having tantrums, thieves stealing dreams of my husband

lost-my-will-to-live-if-found-please-return-to-4787695

after it took me hours to finish one of the worst book i’ve read this year, i don’t have the nerve or energy to write a long rant about how much this book sucked. but there is one thing i do have to talk about.

going into this series i knew i wasn’t the target audience since i have never and will never be a fan of reverse harem books, because i like my Heroes to be possessive enough to not want to share their girl with other guys. with other reverse harem books i could at least appreciate the guys not wanting to share the girl with anyone else outside their group (that should be the bare minimum).

hypothetically speaking: imagine your boyfriend (*cough* Leon *cough*) sending out newsletters to another guy who is not part of your harem (👀 Orion 👀) with photos of you a.k.a his girlfriend/soulmate (🥴 Elise 🥴) in underwear without her knowledge. at the beginning of the series i thought Leon crushing on Orion was lowkey cute, but after five (!!!!) books it’s bordering on mental illness how Leon wanted to recruit Orion to their little harem.. like leave that man the fuck alone he doesn’t want anything to do with you or your harem. 🤚 not only do i feel like this was such a breach of trust that Leon was doing this shit to Elise without her consent, but girlie can’t even break up with him, because they are mates. after having read this series (esp this book) looking back at Shadow Princess Tory and her decision at the end (ikyk), i couldn’t be more prouder … she dodged a bullet. Elise can’t relate. 🤡 can’t even say i’m feeling sorry for this bitch. i can’t stand her, but shouldn't you be at least a little bit possessive of your girl and not want to share her with a million other guys?! what even is this circus...

lastly, there is one person i have to apologize to and that is Lara. i’m sorry i dragged you through 3333 pages of hell, just to get to read about five (maybe????) Lance Orion scenes where one of them was that lilac haired blood gnome and her simba-wannabe troll stealing his pitball dreams right infront of his eyes. 😭 was reading this series worth the peasant meal of crumbs we got of our man? i really don’t know. but i can honestly say that no one loves Lance Orion as much as we do. 😌💅

“Has he calmed down yet?”
“No, but how do you feel about singing Hakuna Matata to him?” Dante asked seriously and Ryder barked a dry laugh.

This book was A LOT. And yeah, it has like 942 pages so you'd expect it to be a lot, but still... I still can't gather my thoughts properly for a well structured review, so bear with me for the upcoming mess of emotions and thoughts.

"So tell me, Ryder," Leon pressed as he jogged forward and slung an arm around the Basilisk's neck. "Are you team Anna or team Elsa?"
"I'm not having this dumb as fuck discussion with you, Simba," he said in a firm tone. "Just let it go."
Leon's mouth fell open in shock and he turned back to face the three of us.
"Did you hear that?" Leon gushed. "He told me to let it go. Oh my stars he's so fucking in love with me and Frozen!"

》》The Plot《《

Well... you kind of know what to expect here, right? Get Elise back, find out what happened to Gareth, stop King, save Alestria and be ready for tons of spice.

What you weren’t expecting already was more betrayal, death, bonds being broken and new ones being formed, a wedding where the cake fell prey to Kipling Middle, amazing character development, new family members, some foreshadowing for Zodiac Academy, sad goodbyes, full of promises hellos and your heart breaking and unbreaking along the way. And more Disney themed moments.

“Come here then, Mufasa.”
“I’m feeling more Scar today,” I commented.
“You can’t be Scar,” Ryder muttered.
“Why not?” I sniped.
“Because I’m Scar.”

“I just remembered I bought another entire array of tiny little hats for Ryder in his smallest Basilisk form for our scrapbook photos.”
She looked up at me with her lips wide and excitement twisted through her silvery eyes. “You did?”
“Yup.” I grinned a Lion’s grin. “Next time he passes out as a teeny weenie snake, we’re doing a whole photoshoot.”

"Nice to meet you, son," Reginald said with a purr, his smile widening. "When Leonidas told us his pride was growing, I can't tell you how excited we all were."
"I'd call it Elise's pride if we're being totally honest," Gabriel said, cutting me a warm look which had Reginald beaming at me.

“What newsletter?” I muttered, glancing over at Leon who just smirked at me.
“It’s called the Weekly Orgy,” Orion said. “It’s mostly pictures of Elise in skimpy underwear, but sometimes there’s columns on the pros of polyamory and the health benefits of orgies for Pitball players. It’s er, pretty intense, Noxy. I assumed you got it too.”

“Then beware the lord of shadow, and seek the twin flames.”

🕵🏻‍♂️ Bill meeting Leon, Ryder and Elise
👰 The wedding and the fate of the wedding cake

This book honestly had a lot of memorable moments, the characters all had a great development and the ending was really good. Maybe there were some things I didn't like 100%, but it set things pretty well for the Zodiac Academy series and I swear I see the potential for a new series if our Celestial Authors may wish it ( whit Elise's daughter, but seeing them all grown up makes me nostalgic so idk how I feel about it).

Rosa suddenly whacked her around the head with the dingy stick and Cindy shrieked, leaping back in surprise.
“What the hell?” Cindy planted her hands on her hips.
“Oops, thought I saw a mindwort, but it must have been one of your brain cells jumping ship. My bad,” Rosa said innocently and I breathed a laugh.

I don't think I'll make a "Characters and Relationships" section here, because I feel that might spoil some of the charm of this last installment. However, I have to mention my deep love for Rosalie Oscura and Ethan Shadowbrook. I can't wait to start the Darkmore Penitentiary series, but I think I'll wait a bit before diving into the world of Solaria again.

“It is time, son of fate,” they whispered to me. “The questions of your origin will be answered. Follow the footprints of the past and you shall find all that you have lost.”

I absolutely SAVOURED this last book.
There will be quite a few spoilers in this review because I simply cannot move on with my life without gushing and ranting about the things that just made this book the masterpiece that it is.

I have to start by saying that this is by far one of the best series I have read this year and quite honestly, one of my favorite RH series I've gotten the pleasure of reading to date.
I have SO FUCKING MUCH I need to say and so many favourite quotes to share, especially considering the wonderful length of this novel, so here we go...

"Because happily ever after always tastes sweetest when it's been earned through agony"

The events of this story took me on an emotional journey that creates such a brilliant reading experience. I honestly can't count the number of times throughout this series where I sat thinking about how amazing the writing in these books are; the intimate connection you feel to Elise, Gareth, and the four guys, the staggered relationship development, the unpredictable and twisted plot, and the whirlwind of emotions you feel as you go through it, all come together in an utterly stunning and undoubtedly unforgettable series.

Initial thoughts,
Starting from where we left off in book 4, Elise is captured and I swooned over how the guys worked in tandem to relocate and rescue her; Ryder reluctantly giving into Leon’s taunts and working alongside his astral adversary, with small moments of acceptance if not appreciation for them.
I'm in love with their bromance and obsessed with their dynamic of friendship; Leon is legit adorable and I lost it when he used his charisma on the guys and they were caring for him, that was such a pure but hilarious moment.

"Dante got my belt undone and Ryder yanked my jeans off, tossing them into the laundry basket. Dante gripped my shirt, tearing it over my head and smirking victoriously as he tossed that in the basket too. "I got you some hot milk."Gabriel walked into the room with my favorite mug"
BROMANCE. ACTIVATED.

Moving forward from this point, I totally thought it would take them longer to rescue Elise and at first, I was like UH.. she was found WAY too quickly for my tastes but after I finished the book and realized how much was compacted into this one story, then I completely understood the rush factor on that situation.

"All of me wanted her, down to the dust of the stars which made up my soul."
That's it.
This quote just touched my soul and I had to include it just to say how much I FELT this.

One moment that absolutely IRKED me to the core and triggered my anxiety, was when Ryder got captured and Gabriel kept trying to get a sight of him needing their help but Elise and Leon were not taking anything seriously.
Like, your boy needs you and obviously, something is trying to push through, how about stop fucking for like, 3 seconds to consider that maybe it’s important!
Every time Elise or Leon changed the subject to something juvenile I just got so irritated.
Hey, I would feel the same for any of the guys!
BUT RYDER, he's my husband so I'm like *knock, knock* HELLO!
In my head, I was screaming "This man would rip apart worlds for you and you can’t even care that something is coming through about him?!"; even Gabe had an inkling that it must be important.

"Ryder, I think," he muttered, "But there's too much lust too I can't concentrate to see it properly. You're too damn distracting."
"Maybe the stars are telling you to be rough with me like he is," I teased."

I truthfully couldn’t even enjoy reading that threeway because I was so consumed by my rage that they were all ignoring the urgency of the sight!

Moving on...
*Drum Roll*
OKAY. The moment(s) we have quite literally been waiting an eternity for finally happened!!

"The Bond has tested you and you were both found wanting. But now you stand as allies upon this hill, and we cannot ignore the question you ask of us... You ask for the bond to be changed."
The star-bond moment between Ryder and Dante was fucking everything and more.
It completely exceeded my expectations and brought me to ruin emotionally.
This moment marks the ultimate end to their series-long feud and I seriously commend the authors for drawing it out as long as they did; it made for some fucking phenomenal content, all the slow-build of affection towards each other, while they are supposed to be destined adversaries until one of them dies.
PERFECTION.

"He held his hand out to me to clasp and where our hands joined, the marks created an infinity symbol connecting us to one another. "Holy shit, Fratello. I think the stars just made us best friends."

AND THEN.
Directly following this show-stopping moment, as if my heart wasn't already dealing with enough, the stars CALL ELISE TO THEM.
OMFG. Yes!
Dante and Ryder finally get Elysian-mated to Elise and I internally had a meltdown of epic proportions because I’m so so unbelievably relieved and glad they decided to give them that moment with Elise; there is just no way in this fictional world that she didn't end up mated to them.
On that note, it was utterly fucking brilliant and a truly captivating reading experience the way it progressed with Leon first at the very beginning of this series.
JUST WOW.
It truly sucks you right in... Just like Elise's vag did to Ryder and Dante right after the formation of their star bonds
Come on.
That DVP!!
OK CAROLINE & SUSANNE, I REALLY SEE YOU.
Fucking *chefs kiss*.
End the book there.

I have to mention the scene with Gabe and Orion when he ate the Proballs and his dick enlarged to an unfathomable size. I live for these snippets of humor, they are written so well and never fail to make me double over laughing!
" Orion shot forward to catch me and as if in slow motion, my huge cock swung sideways and slapped him hard across the face."
HILARIOUS.

I lost all composure when Bianca accepted Ryder into the Oscura family.
I was eating breakfast while reading this part and my fiancé couldn’t comprehend why I burst out bawling my eyes out, as I simultaneously shoveled French toast and bacon into my mouth.
The emotional flood that this moment conjured out of me was entirely unexpected and 100% deserved.
I did NOT anticipate that level of welcome from her, towards him and it thawed my black, cold heart.

"You will not bleed in my home, nuovo figlio."
"Why'd you keep calling me that?"
"It means new son. The stars have bound you to my Drago which makes you mine too, you see? Nuovo figlio."

*cue instant ugly crying*
Ryder was blindsided by this but it was amazing to see him get that affection from a motherly figure, considering his tragic past.
I also loved that he tatted up Rosalie and gave her some words of wisdom like an older brother; that was an incredible bonding moment between them, especially given that she's Dante's cousin.

There's literally way too many funny moments to count; like when we find out that Leon had been sending Orion the Weekly Orgy; when Elise offered the Kipling's a doughnut and Middle Kipling LOST his shit, he absolutely did not approve "You can keep your carb filled whores, thank you very much,"; and also when they drugged themselves with killblaze the get into the cavern, I had to refrain from peeing my pants and I loved that it was from Dante's POV.
"Simba. Not Scar. Scar's a stronzooooo," he howled like a wolf. "I'm a stronzo." He hung his head and I dropped back to pat his arm.
"You're my stronzo," I whispered and he held my hand as we approached the tunnel ahead of us."

I LOVE BESTIE RYDER AND DANTE.

I also adore every single instance where Leon posts to Faebook and the Mindy's all respond in a thread; their comments and hashtags are an example of pure literary genius, in my opinion.
For instance, "@Erica Collins if you were naked in the woods, where were you keeping your Atlas to see this post??? #toomanyplotholes #theresonlyoneplacewithspace #Lionessessbecrazy"

So.
Like most, I'm sure, I came to really cherish Elise and Titan's unique relationship; it was precious and heartwarming, as he very much behaved as the father she never had. The fact that they both also acknowledge what they are to each other was so special.
Elise really needed someone like him in her life, especially because he was so supportive of her reconnecting with her real father but promised to stay in her life.
That WAS the perfect intimate moment between them...

Of course, that was IMMEDIATELY short-lived when his identity as fucking KING was revealed.
I originally went down the train of thought that somehow Gareth was corrupted and it was him this entire time but I soon realized how that would clearly assassinate his character and that did not make sense for him; so then, the thought of it being Titan had niggled into my brain but I dismissed it due to the nature of his relationship with Elise.
Looking back now, it doesn’t surprise me that the most inconspicuous person turned out to be the bad guy; however, I never would have thought that he was the culprit all along while going through the series.
So well-executed!

"My Hope. My Joy. My Mercy. My Duty. My Life.”
"All of the words are what each of you gave back to me.”

When I tell you I SOBBED like a newborn when Gabe and Ryder had a heart-to-heart before the death that Gabriel inevitably Saw for him; they shared their tats for each other (and the rest of the gang) it was such an emotion-packed moment, I could hardly keep it together let alone keep my eyes clear enough to get through it!
"You were always meant to be a part of my life, Ryder," I told him pointing to the mark below my ribs which I'd recently gotten for him.
Beneath the letter R were the words My Darkest Saviour.

My heart dropped right out of my chest at the same instant that Ryder got his HEAD chopped off.
I didn’t really think it would happen!!!!
Then again, I really shouldn’t be that shocked at this point in book 5; I should know by now that Susanne and Caroline are freaking CRUEL.
" "Long live the king!" Scarlett cried, swinging the axe with all her strength and the scream that escaped me was enough to tear the whole world apart and call the stars down from the sky as I watched Ryder's head tumble from his body."

I could NEVER cope with him truly being gone. I think I would lose my sanity at that point.
But I wasn't convinced he would come back from a decapitation but then we find out about the god damn SWITCHEROO, HELL YES.
Thank god, I couldn’t lose my basilisk!

Elise (and I) finally got some much-needed closure surrounding Gareth's death.
So... Gareth is actually dead!
I was questioning why the possibility that this pure and genuine soul was still alive waiting for his little angel, was even introduced!?
It's a depressing revelation and him being alive would have been an amazing twist in the book; genius, if he was actually able to pull off a fake death and keep himself concealed this entire time.
Alas, that was not the case.
*Cue face leaking*
I sobbed like a fucking child when Elise met him at the precipice of life and death.
Her first and last interaction with him in death and it absolutely stole the breath from my lungs and ripped my heart out in one instant.

"You have men who would tear the world apart for you and a future just waiting for you to claim it. You don't need me anymore."
"Be free, little angel. Live.

Of course, this story wouldn't be complete without Gabe getting his mate-bond with Elise. I'm so happy for him and I have to say, a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders because I started to truly believe he had another mate somewhere out there. Needless to say, we didn't have to go clueless about that!
"And I knew in the depths of my soul that I would love this girl until there was nothing left of us but stardust and memories."

This book DESTROYED me and built me back up in the same breath.
I’m devastated that this amazing series has come to its end.
I have irrevocably and undeniably fallen in love with each and every single main character from these wonderful books.

"Family forged and family bound," the stars whispered..."A gift for a fractured soul, for cruel fates and crueler paths. When the world grows dark, look to each other to find the light."
I even have a major soft spot for some of the side characters like Roary, Bill, Reginald, and Bianca.

It’s truly bittersweet saying goodbye to them all but I know I will carry this story with me in my heart for a long while.
I laughed my ass off, I bawled my eyes out, and I smiled until my jaw hurt.
I hope this review conveys even a little of how incredible the reading experience is, which comes along with these beautiful books; it’s undoubtedly going into my all-time faves.

I'm virtually bowing at the feet of both Susanne and Caroline for not giving us a measly epilogue but for delivering us several chapters of BONUS content; as in, a jump in time to the future so we can experience what a normal life would be like for them after high school etc.
It was FUCKING INCREDIBLE.
I find we, as readers, rarely get a true glimpse of what happens at the end of many books once the plot is solved, it all kinda comes to an end.
But this book has fulfilled that desperate need for MORE.

Just knowing that they all got married to Elise and then moved in together, then had BABIES, plus the glimpse of 16 years into the future, how all the timelines were stacked, it was so heartwarming and quite literally THE BEST conclusion to a series that you never want to let go.

The scenes at the end with their kids when they are all grown up were so much fun to read! It felt like such a treat that we got that sneak peek into their lives; Luca emerges into a bear, so unexpected and I love that RJ is a pegasus.
It was utterly hilarious when the guys crashed her date when she was planning to lose the V.
10/10 best fucking scene ever. I love the guys as DADS. They are even more unbearable than I could ever imagine.
Side note: I foresee another series with RJ and her cop mate!! YAY, I'm calling that now.

I almost forgot about how we never learned the truth about Gabe's mysterious past but I'm getting the feeling I'll find out if I continue on with ZA, which I absolutely will.
"It is time, son of fate,...The questions of your origin will be answered. Follow the footprints of the past and you shall find all that you have lost."
I'm getting the vibe that this is an entire story in and of itself but I'm 100% here for it.

Now that we’ve gotten a glimpse ahead, I’m intrigued to see how the crossovers will be for the ZA and Rosalie's series'! Knowing Gabriel is working at ZA sweetens the deal too, as I'm hoping to see what role he has to play in their story.

On a final note (i'm shocked I haven't hit the word count yet), i’m so sad to leave behind this group of fictional people who have carved themselves a nice little hole in my heart, wherein they shall stay forevermore.
I'm also eternally grateful to the two incredibly talented and imaginative minds who conjured this absolute gem of a series.

~5 brilliant stars~

Sex Bingo. That’s all I can say. The first half of the book seemed like a genuine effort on the author’s part to think up new and creative ways to use magic for sex. The pacing was wonky—too many chapters inside Leon’s head (and yo—he’s my favorite, so you know that’s saying something) where the banter grew tiresome. The Lion King jokes were fun in previous books, but they went full-tilt off the rails with this book. In fact, if I could sum up this book, I’d say...yep. “Off the rails” about covers it. More sex. More violence. More jokes (so many jokes). Antics upon antics (even an engorgement spell aimed right at one of the guys’ penises). Then there was a not-very-scary-or-surprising villain/show down at the end and about 16 epilogues...

I’ll admit, up until book 5 I was pretty curious about who King was and hoping (however small) that Gareth might have one more surprise for us, yet. But the authors uncovered that mystery too heavy-handedly, so by about the 50% mark it was a sure thing who it was. And then I got bored. And then I skimmed (there! I admit it!) wondering what else the rest of the book was going to be about. I hate skimming a book I was so psyched to read—a series I’ve hyped to other GR buddies—but the resulting muddle of different plot points being threaded together left this ending feeling disjointed and unsatisfying. And then there was the filler—just so much of it. The “stars” provided too many convenient solutions near the end. Random side characters moved to center stage as the authors not-so-subtly tried to get us to read their spin off series...

What drew me to this series was the refreshing combination of academy with a unique magic system and a very strong (but not stupid or immature) sex-positive MC. The humor was the icing on the cake. I think they tried to maintain these elements throughout, but what started out fresh ended like a joke that had gone out of style years ago.

I’d say this series is still definitely worth picking up, and there were some fun moments in the last book, but out of the 5, it was my least favorite.

oooo my goodness, butter my biscuits, that was freaking fantastic. I couldn't write my review for two days, just to really let it sink in. But this book just really ties everything so well, it's a bittersweet moment to see the end 🥺I couldn't stop screaming, laughing, and crying at any point. When a book really touches your heart and feelings, you know it's good. Am i right, or am I RIGHT?!

First of all, I've said it before and I'll say it again. Leon is my ultimate boyfriend. I laughed basically every time he was present. His tantrums, his delusions, just the way he asserts himself cracks me up. If only he was real. He is the ultimate lion, and this girl wants to be his MINDY! Get out of my way or be removed PERMANENTLY...

Ryder, you deserve the world after all your suffering. He is such much more than lust and pain, and I love how they really develop that, and give him the family he needed. (He's a good boyfriend-in-law). The Scar to Leon's Mufasa(Simba)
Dante, I loved his sense of loyalty and family. His leadership and aim to improve his gang, made it possible for REAL CHANGE. And I love the bond that develops between him and Ryder. *Tears*
Gabriel, is the patient sweet boyfriend, who knows best. Honestly, I feel like he's the real adult in the group sometimes. He knows all, but he always makes people do what they want, and then he acts surprised. It's honestly too cute.
Elise, oh Elise, your beauty and strength transformed this group of boys into MEN. They finally were able to develop their emotional side and be able to make decisions that only real adults could understand. You were brave and strong and vulnerable which made me Love you with a capital L.
You're still a bad momma jamma.

Starting with the beginning:
Let's start off by saying that Elise is in the same spot that she was at, in the conclusion of the last book. This really brings the boys together to hunt anyone that is keeping her away from them. It was beautiful. All the walls that prevented them from really coming together and being a family were removed because of their love for her. It was all so sweet and honestly made me cry. They became a real band of brothers. And my poor Leon, was not a happy Leon, and can you imagine that? It was a crime.

But when they finally SPOILER
\/
\/
\/
Rescued Elise, Leon had a whole scrapbook to show her their adventures. It was too funny.

Caroline and Susanne had me at the edge of my seat so many times, I literally could not function, I thought someone was safe, and all of sudden. BOOm, bam. SPLAT. dreams obliterated. Why do you play with me?

I won't tell you who's safe, but prepare yourself, honestly at this point YOU SHOULD KNOW to do exactly that. Nothing is safe...

Intermixed into all these beautiful bonding family and bro moments were snippets of my favorite people... Rosa and Lance. (And honestly Leon's take on Lance's life is too funny, he's so brutal but also reminds of you of a little kid in his honesty)
The scene with Rosa and Ryder will make you tear up a bit, because of how they see a similar soul who has survived much pain.

Gabriel, oh Gabriel, this book gave me little snippets of the Zodiac Academy series, and oh boy, it just pulled at my heart strings... I literally screamed anytime I saw something with a prophecy, so I started trying to make sense of it all, and well I couldn't sleep.

OOO, and let's not forget the big bad villain. The KING.... also definitely predicted him. Won't say who, but squeal..

oh and the guy who they freed from the Black Cards, super important, won't say how... but I think it's strongly hinted in the Zodiac Academy..... hint hint.

Moments with stars were scream worthy. You will not be disappointed, and dude, honestly, it felt like eating the dessert at the end of the meal. The waiting was worth it.

This book series for me has been such a favorite because it's characters really show development, the villain is not 2D, but multifaceted, we see the relationships build and it's painted with humor, love and suffering. And honestly you aren't ever left questioning what happened because they make sure to finish up all those pesky questions you had or never even knew were on the brain...

To close, thank you Susanne and Caroline for this bittersweet moment, and please know I will be stalking your page like Eugene. Don't ever doubt it.
* By the wayyyyy, I need RJ's story please, pretty please, please with a cherry on top.

“No matter what happened now or throughout the rest of our lives, I knew this was it for all of us. We were destined to be together.
We were a family.
And I’d finally found my home.”

i'm fucking DONE. i skimmed (skipped) all the 500 epilogues this book had. no joke i didn't fucking care about their kids or what orders they were i just DONT CARE. fuck my life this took me a solid week to read. i mean wtf??????? i can read 3 books a day but this took me a WEEK. i've read 15 books while reading this book... just i have so much to say but i don't fucking remember what happened in this book. no wtf i actually don't remember. opps.

anyway if i have to read the words serpente, stronzo, simba, fratello, rydikins, little monster, scar, mufasa, and god knows how many other words i will go ... myself. like this book is 942 pages long but i swear its the same words repeated 1000 times. the word cock was mentioned 216 times let that sink in.

this whole series doesn't have a plot. its just 5 horny teenagers fucking in any place they could find. i mean i'm so over it.

leon's fucking adhd (he's not diagnosed but if its not adhd idk what that is) fucking killed me for all 5 books but here it just drove me to insanity. i couldn't read his pov without literally putting the book down for a day. i just couldn't handle him. leon's character change wasn't noticeable up until this book. idk if its just me but he became this annoying lil kid who couldnt sit still and would say the absolute embarrassing things. like how are you in a poly relationship but inviting strangers to come and fuck your girl? like i get that he's offering orion but he's BEGGING orion to join in and idk what.

idk i loved leon in the other books but he was WAY too much for me in here. he was all over the place trying to "lighten the mood" by saying shit he shouldn't say. he also got mad at everyone bc they had breakfast without him. just fucking childish and immature and i got tired of him. dante was kinda in the background throughout this whole book. he had two important (not really) things to do in this book and they were to fuck elise (i know) and fuck this dragon bitch because lionel said so. like even during the orgies he was still in the background...

gabby and ryder were the "face" of this book. they did most of the action and "plot" lines. basically, they were mentioned in almost every chapter. they did so much in this book that i forgot about everyone else. they didn't annoy me in any way and i actually really love their character development.

this book just gave me the worst reading slump like i don't even want to read anymore because of this shitshow. i did rate this 2 stars because i was committed and i got through it.

honestly if you DNF easily you won't make it past 30% its just fucking stupid go spoil it for yourself.

i know i wasn't paying attention but i thought i would be right a lil.... no no i was off by a lot.

also titan did all this because he lost his daughter. like bitch go grieve somewhere else man. i don't understand he's such a sissy how tf did he fool everyone wtf.

Character development: 🤓😉☺️😍🥰
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Elise Callisto - a vampire fae with the elemental power of air. She came to Aurora Academy to find the king that murdered her beloved brother Gareth and is now in love with the four kings of Aurora Academy. They are all working together against the king who they think murdered Gareth and is plotting to rule the fae world. His name is King, and he is the leader of the black cards, a cult using dark magic to steal power from fae they force to commit suicide.

The Heroes: Gabriel Nox - a harpy with two elemental powers and the strongest fae at Aurora Academy. He has wings and he renews his power via the morning sunlight. He wanted Elise for himself but has finally come to accept the rest of the guys. He also has the sight and can see into possible future events.
Dante Oscura - a storm dragon shifter and the leader of the Oscura gang. His uncle Felix had hooked up with King and the black cards and he’d been stealing the children of the gang, he recently stole and tortured his own daughter Rosalee who was under Dante’s protection.
Leon Night - a namean lion shifter with the fire elemental power. He is the Elysian mates with Elise but wanted her to have the other three guys as well as himself. He was responsible for helping them all to come together. He comes from a family of thieves and his brother Rory was arrested by the FIB when he got caught after a heist.
Ryder Draconis - a basilisk shifter with the elemental power of earth. He is the leader of the Lunar Brotherhood, who are a rival gang to the Oscura clan. He is dark and broody, and pain (his own and others) is what renews his power.

The Story: The gang gets into a whole heap of trouble in this book. King and his Black Card brethren are after them throughout the book. They are separated for parts of the book, and it seems that every time they get a little ahead of their problems, something else happens to threaten them. There are some big surprises and lots of danger. They also face trouble from their own gang members when it comes out that Ryder and Dante are both with Elise, and even more trouble from the head dragon shifter, Lionel Acrux who wants to use Dante for his own ends.

The best thing about this book (and the whole series) are the characters. Elise is probably the most boring character of all, though she is certainly tough. I love all her guys, who each have their own distinct personalities. Leon is often the comic relief, but you just have to love him and everything he does. Gareth is such a nice guy despite all the terrible things he had to do. Though everything he did was to save his sister, so you can’t really blame him for that. Rosalee and Rory were also great, and I have wanted them to end up together since a few books back, though she still has to grow up. The rat shifter Eugene came into his own in this book and I was happy about that. Ethan Shadowbrook was also a nice surprise as Ryder’s second.

The audiobook was told in multiple points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Troy Duran and Angelina Rocca. They have done a fantastic job on this series. Troy is great with different voices for the different male characters. The woman who voiced Elise was changed in this book, which I didn’t really like, but Angelina did a terrific job as well.

I have really enjoyed listening to this series, which was a long one. The stories and action were awesome, and the romance was steamy and always interesting. This audiobook was over 29 hours and there were a lot of intimate scenes, and action throughout which really kept things moving. I loved the humor mixed in and the ending was great, but I was surprised that a few things felt a bit unfinished even after the length of this one. Though they were fairly minor things.

Angst Rating : 7/10

Heat Rating : 7/10

Triggers Involved : Kidnapping

Plot Summary :
The Ruthless boys are back!! With Elise being in the clutches of the king, all the boys are losing their minds. He means to destroy her and use her and they can't let that happen. They are going to save her , no matter what the cost!

Elise is so lonely. She fears for what's about to happen to her but has faith in her boys. She knows that they will come for her and until then, she will wait for them, no matter how long.

Overall Opinion :
OMG , I have been going crazy waiting for this one! The ending of the last book killed me and I needed to know what happened so bad! I devoured this one as soon as it landed it on my kindle and what a ride it was. I cried, I laughed and omg, I am still not recovered in any way. It's just so tough to get over these characters!

Leon was perfect as usual. His bubbly attitude had me laughing so bad and he was the best character for me. Everything that man did was funny and he was the best and the cutest ever. He was selfless and I loved how much he loved Elise and how much he wanted everyone to be United. He would do anything for them all and it showed.

Ryder was my usual grumpy basilisk. So freaking hot and cold at the same time. I loved his scenes the most. He has a few innocent scenes that showed his cute character and moments beneath the cold exterior and I loved that a lot! I highlighted those scenes like crazy and it was amazing. He had a lot of character development in this one and that was the best part.

Gabriel was amazing as usual. He was the glue that held the boys and elise together. With his visions, I loved the way he tried to care for everyone and loved them so much . Then their were scenes of him and orion that had me swooning so bad and laughing at the same time. Those two are the best!

Dante was his usual self too! He was the most mature character according to me. That man is the best and I loved him and his whole family. They are the best herd and their scenes had me laughing so bad.

Another thing that I loved about this book was the side characters. Rosalie and Ethan were there too and I loved their scenes. The characters were perfect and I am planning to read the other series ASAP too! I just know they all have one hell of a tale and it's going to be the best.

I can't scream it enough so please, read this series!! The whole series is amazing and if you are a fan of fantasy reverse harem romance then there is no way you can miss this series.

The last 30% bumped this from 2* to 2.75* rounded up for GR. I don't know if it was that the pacing was off or what the authors opted to dedicate sooooooo many of the 900+ pages to but this did not really work for me 🤗
I'm all for a steamy read, but please find a balance so that your characters can do other things besides bounce from one hook up to the next without advancing the plot 🙈 So much of this book felt like telling vs showing and what we were being *shown* just wound up rather exhaustively repetitive to me...

It also prob doesn't bode well when I didn't miss Elise at the start of this and really wasn't all that bothered by her contributions as the story progressed - she was the worst culprit for telling not showing. For as much as she thought about the things they had to overcome and her quest to "avenge" Gareth...her actions screamed easily distracted & I not so lowkey lost patience with her 🤦‍♀️

I highly enjoyed all the angsty bro'bonding scenes far more than any of the combined bonding scenes 🤨
Ryder wound up surprising me by becoming a fav PoV, especially considering I wasn't at all interested in him in book1 🤭 His character growth across the series was the most fun to follow.
Leon was a treat as always altho his temper tantrums really were grating by the end.
Dante & Gabriel were almost disappointing considering I had picked up this series based off their appearances in ZA...the characters we read about in this series are very different from where we find them 5years later and the angsty emo/mob boss stuff didn't really spark much joy for my reading experience altho Rosalee & Ethan's appearances (separately, let's not acknowledge any hints to DP series while she's 14/15 & he's 19, K?!) and obvs all things Pitball + Eugene #Longbottoming were upsides 🙃

Eurgh - speaking of ZA one of the cameo/crossovers interactions was so OTT that altho it started out funny, by the end it was so beyond ridiculous that it kind of ruined the nebula ally bonding I was there for. Speaking of needlessly expounding on storylines...did we really need to continue revisiting 🎂?
Please tell me I am not alone out on this ledge...altho happy to go down swinging as really 🙄

Writing this review after reading Heartless Sky and enjoying all the Easter eggs sprinkled therein from this series made me happy I read it, but there was no comparison for me as regards addictive characters + storytelling...ZA wins hands down & twice on Sundays

I love this series so fucking much and I love both authors' talent just as much. Every single one of their books packs up a punch and delivers literally everything I don't even know I crave.

Some series I don't like as much as the others, but Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac is definitely top of both my RH and fantasy lists.
Yet I can't stand their way of ending their stories. The numerous jumps in time make me cringe and unhappy; I just hate how nothing is left to my imagination and how the characters' whole futures are mapped out.

But everything before the twenty-thousands epilogues is Amazing with a capital A. So worth the read and all the future re-reads! Elise and her guys will forever be one of my favorite complicated but adorable pride!

Ruthless boys of the Zodiac may not hold the same level as Zodiac Academy , but I am so glad I decided to read it anyway.

I loved seeing the background to a few characters (and other things I now can connect back to this series) that also pop up in ZA, especially Gabriel Nox and Dante Oscura. And it didn't exactly hurt that it was hilarious at times too! I loved The Lion King references and how they all became a family. 🥺

So if you want some more insight about Solaria, Aurora Academy, new or old characters (depending on which book you start), the Lunar Brotherhood vs The Oscura Clan and a reverse harem that actually was pretty good (this coming from someone who is not usually a fan of RH) - then this series is for you!

But tbh though, I am much more excited to start the other spinoff series about Rosalie Oscura and Darkmore Penitentiary (and some inmates in there that I am really curious to read more about).

This thick baby of almost 1000 pages gave me everything I wanted and some things I didn’t know I wanted as well.

I cried, I laughed my ass off, I swooned. My heart hurt at times and it felt full of happiness too. I stayed up until 4am reading the last part, unable to stop.

This series is friking amazing. I can’t recommend it enough. Now I can’t wait to read Zodiac Academy. Wish me luck, I heard that’s the series that truly hurts you lol

4.5⭐

I don't care that the plot is less than stellar, there's a lot of filler content in the whole series or that the character's behavior might seem childish and irritating at times, this is my favorite RH series so far.

These books were my constant companions the last few weeks, I feel so connected to each one of the characters and love them so much that now I don't know what I'm going to do with my late night reading time😭

Just the fact that I binged the whole series says a lot in itself.

(5/5) - UMMM IM SOBBING ?? HELLO ???? KDJSKJDKD yall pls i actually loved this series so much like the attachment i have to all the characters 🥺🥺🥺 we like this 🤞🏽 hehe.

this series as a whole is definitely a 5 star for me. its kinda hard for me to give ratings on a series where the beginning picks up right where the last book ended so i be diving directly into the next book and getting halfway theu without even reviewing the previous book. and by that point my memory is lost as far as what happened in which book like KDJSKFJ

anyway back to warrior fae THE LAST 10% OF THE BOOK WAS THE PERFECT ENDING UGH. i was cheesing the whole time and taking laps having the best time hehe. this book also had me SOOOOO emotional? idk if thats because these books are LONGGGG lol or just my connection to the characters but regardless this is definitely top 5 of most emotional ive been while reading a book/series. and i feel that about sums up how i feel abt this one 🙂‍↕️

also… can now confirm ryder is my favorite character in this entire series. i love that man down 🫶🏽 and i want to carry him around in my pocket… iykyk :)

This book had me on an emotional roller coaster, I literally could not stop crying at the end. This book really completes the series and just answered every single question I had and tied up all the loose ends.

Leon…. I still don’t know if I like him or not. At times he was enjoyable and funny and sweet but then there was other times where he was just annoying and childish honestly.

Ryder…. Sweet baby angel…. You deserve the world and so much more after everything you’ve gone through. His character development throughout this whole series was mind blowing! And the fact that now after everything that happened he can finally be himself in public and let his guard down and be apart of a family.

Dante ugh the most loyal and sweet and family oriented guy. The way he became such a great leader and helped his family by always thinking of them before anything is so cute I loved it. And Ryder and Dante’s friendship forming was so sweet!

Gabriel the sweetest and most patient guy truly the only adult in this book lol who actually thought rationally most of the time.

Elise…. I wanted to smack you so many times in this book but I also understand why you did what you did. The strength and transformation Elise went through to become the person she was at the end was such a beautiful journey. Especially her connection to all these men and how much she was able to help them while they were also able to help her.

Now… let me just say, the amount of heart attacks I was close to having throughout this book due to me thinking someone is safe and then the next moment they are gone???? And then the next moment they are back??? I was an emotional mess man.

Rosa and roary’s story has definitely peaked my interest and I’m actually really excited to hopefully read that series. Rosa and Ryder talking everything out and connecting had me balling my eyes out. They share so many similarities and connected so well they really needed each other in that moment.

I will have to say I was of the people that had no idea who king was going to be and let me tell you when I found out….. I was flabbergasted, completely and utterly speechless, a fish opening and closing their mouth in shock. I was not expecting that, though in hindsight maybe I should’ve expected that?

Anyways this book series was such a great and definitely a favorite for me with the character development and the relationships between everyone building through humor and love and challenges. I feel like I had all my questions and concerns answered with this ending

Now….. I need RJ’s story immediately.

Warrior Fae

Hmmm, okay so a few things about this book really bug me, issue 1, 2 and 3 were all wrapped up within about 20% of each other (reading on kindle) these problems throughout the series were all interrelated but all solved separately and in some stages just didn't make sense. There were parts of this book that were just slow and boring, way too much internal monologue. The other issue with this is, we already had a fairly good idea that some of the "potential" outcomes wouldn't happen because that particular character is in another book series that takes place after this series. I also found this to be the case with one of the characters Gabriel who had the sight who could just be so powerful in literally knowing basically everything and I honestly wished the stars didn't show him so much as it ruined that potential anxiety inducing moments. While the book was enjoyable in parts and the authors did everything they could to give readers the HEA they were after I feel there were parts not necessary to the story, time jumps not exactly explained and crucial moments where stakes could have been higher but ultimately fell a little flat because one character already knew what was going to happen. Overall enjoyable in parts but a little flat for me.

Ohmydamn guys! I freaking knew who the big bad villain was. I feel like I need a celebratory drink right now. Or maybe a cannoli? Either one would make me very happy because I freaking called it. So it's safe to assume that I did a little jiggle dance and screamed happiness when the big reveal happened. I'd like to say I'm sorry for scaring the shit out of my family and dogs but I don't regret a single second of it.

Other than that, I'm very happy that they all acknowledge the mating bond. I mean I called it happening back in book one but I'm glad that they all did it with some bloodshed. Their romance somehow created a ton of unnecessary drama and betrayal but I ate it all up. Some of the betrayal were way too obvious throughout the series. I mean Cindy Lou needs a new hobby stat because she needs to stop obsessing over a certain dragon that doesn't belong to her. As for Bryce and Scarlett.. you did it to yourselves and I don't feel bad for you.

I'm still not a fan of the dragon lord douche and I didn't like how he was trying to get his niece pregnant because it made me cringe. So freaking much. I hope to never see him again for the rest of my life or even in the spin-off series. Please - just fly to a new island and never come back.

In the end, I'm so glad that I dove into this series because it was chaotic AF. Loved all of it and can't wait to dive into the spin off!

Holy wow. This book was INSANELY GOOD! The stars really came out to play. I kid you not I gasped out loud so many times. Dante and Ryder! ahhhhhhhhh. I had a feeling this was coming but it was so beautiful. I loved how everything played out. This was filled with tons of action and unexpected twists. I was shocked by the secrets that were revealed and it made it so much better. It also quite sad and yet I loved it. I really enjoyed this. The reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because some parts did feel a little long but overall it was really enjoyable. You really get to feel all the emotions from anger to sadness and happiness. What a great series! I loved seeing the connections to the Zodiac Academy series as well. I highly recommend this!

This is a true master piece. A work of art.
I thought I hadh review in my head but oh boy, it won't do justice to the awesomeness and perfectness of this book. I have clear sentence in my head, but they aren't in the right order, by what should I begin, what should I say next? And furthermore, how can I can everything I have in one single review without forgetting pieces.

Let me tell you a few things about this book : This book was everything. I don't cry often for books but all I can say here is it's seems to become a standard with Caroline and Susanne books. I laugh so much my cheeks were hurting but I also cried enough to fill a jar or readers tears and if this tears are what gave us so many great books by our celestial authors we will have them coming for along time and I certainly provide them with more even if they tear my heart out of my chest, step on it, put it in a mixer with shard of glass and gravels and then give it back to me with a bottle of glue. You may say crying in a book is bad news when in fact it's a good thing. It's the sign that you care about the characters, the universe created in this books, you care so much that all your emotions are showing (the good emotions and the bad), it's the sign of a really great book, a book I will harass all my friends to read because I know they will love it.

This was once again a roller-coaster of emotions, it's not a smooth ride, you will need to buckle tight.

The guys in this were, oh my, I don't have words, the dynamic was just... everything I wanted.

Were all the questions answered.
Did we finally know who king is? A man? A woman? Or maybe a cat? Who knows? Well I do but you will need to read if you wanna know.

And last as someone who read the other series in Solaria, I loved how everything was linked together. Seeing them talk about situations that would unfurl in Zodiac Academy and Darkmore penitentiary and knowing how it happened, the outcome kinda felt like having the Sight.
I understand how Gabriel feel for some visions when he is like do this, do that, if you do that this will happen, it's how I felt with this convos.

Sorry the previous point wasn't the last, but I said before my thoughts weren't in order, I might think of things to add about this books as I write my review, what I wanted to say is mere hours after finishing reading I already want to re-read, I want to re-read ruthles boys, Zodiac and darkmore, I need my fix as I am sad this was the last one, i need my fix of this world and characters.

I won't lie, I'm devastated that this series is over. I absolutely loved it, way more than I had thought I would. The depth and growth of these characters was on point and the fast paced plot kept me guessing. It also had me laughing out loud to the point of waking my sleeping family. It had me on the verge of tears multiple times and gripping my kindle so hard on the edge of my seat. I can't rave about this enough!

Here it is, the book we have all been waiting for, it’s finally time to find out what the stars have in store for Elise and her Kings. We have had quite the ride so far but buckle up because it’s about to get bumpy and by bumpy I mean imagine driving along a cliff edge while a water elemental freezes the road, earth rumbles the ground, air sends a tornado at you while fire pelts you with fire balls. It’s going to be fine though. Sort of. Maybe. Yep 👍

Warrior Fae has brought together everything from the previous book setting off a storm to rival that of Dante with enough humor to outshine Leon. There are twists within the twists that not even Gabriel could have seen coming and the pain of its readers will be enough to feed Ryder for all eternity.
This book should come with a warning though- WARNING intense scenes, both jaw dropping and panty dropping. Tissues, chocolate/wine/ice cream, vibrator/spouse/nearest none related person required. Thank you for riding Caroline and Susannes trickster travels our stops today include terror valley, anxiety central and despair meadows before finally arriving at HEA station.

I almost had a heart attack every other page but this book brought me great joy in a way I will never be able to fully explain. Never before have I laughed hysterically, sobbed like a manic and gone back to chuckling again in a single page. There is a lot of heartbreak and terror throughout but also some breathtakingly beautiful scenes.

I’m sad to have reached the end of Elise’s story but can’t wait to see some of the characters pop up in Zodiac Academy and Darkmore Penitentiary.

I love these boys & Elise, but I think Zodiac Academy still has my heart. I enjoyed this series, but I feel like it was very character/spice driven and less about the plot. I need a little more plot to keep me engaged. I did love this series overall - I don’t think the Twisted Sisters can’t write anything I won’t love. Also now feel the urge to re-read ZA for a 3rd time to pick up all the RB Easter Eggs! I’ll miss Elise and her Kings 🥹
