I think I'm being stalked by the killer. The dreams are one thing, but I'm pretty sure I'm losing it because I'm not even sure they're dreams. They could be real, but if they are, my life is about to take a drastic turn.
Ever has spent most of her life with her nose in a book. As a college student at S.U.C.U, she wants nothing more than to stay focused and finish her degree. Of course, that would be easier if her life wasn't veering off the tracks. Between the weird dreams and a potential stalker, not to mention the hot-as-sin guy she keeps bumping into, her life may never be the same.
Talon is a born-vampire, a member of the Union City clan, and despite always being in control, he can't seem to get that Human off his mind. Ever . He has no desire for a relationship or a mate, for that matter, but he can't help but feel drawn to her. Her blood is enticing--flowers and rain--but he knows he must stay away from her or risk draining her to nothing more than an empty husk. Unfortunately, when the Vampire King's brother is spotted near SUCK U, a little name the Vampires gave the University since it has one of the densest underground populations of his kind in the western hemisphere, and goes after the very Human he can't stop thinking about, he has no choice but to get involved.
SUCK U is book 1 in a long-running series with more than one storyline. The first storyline is told from a dual-POV, Ever & Talon, and is set to be a trilogy. This first story is a progressive reverse-harem. Meaning, the FMC will add mates as the series progresses.
Adult language, steamy adult scenes, and themes of abuse, rape, and stalking, but while those may be disturbing to some, this book is meant to be a fun read.
Ever is a dedicated student at S.U.C.U, she wants to just stay focused and finish her degree. But she’s been having weird dreams.. and keeps bumping into hot men.. Talon is a born-vampire and after catching a strangers falling coffee he can't seem to get her off his mind.. but he knows he has to stay away.. for her sake. Unfortunately, when the Vampire King's rogue psycho brother is spotted near SUCK U, and goes after the very Human he can't stop thinking about, he has no choice but to get involved.
4⭐️ I love vampire books and when the opportunity to read this one popped up I jumped straight in!! If you too love vampire novels, give this a go!
I really enjoyed reading this one. The writing style made it really easy to understand and follow along with the story.
From page one we get sucked into the story. The minute the book starts theres something happening alread, that grabbed my focus right away bc I wanted to find out what was going on. There was a couple of plot twists i didn't see coming, there was some action, a lot of mystery and some romance. The book had a little bit of everything.
From the moment Talon and Ever saw each other they just couldn't stop thinking about one another. I really liked the way the story progresses in terms of the plot and the characters relationship. The author took her time making sure the characters got to know each other at least a little bit before the romance actually happened. With the plot it was a little bit slow to me BUT I liked that in a way cause it gave it time to develop.
The book does ends on a cliffhanger that left me shocked. I cant wait to read book 2 and continue reading their story.
the protagonist is too stupid to live she's absolutely vapid, there’s so much random slut shaming going on, and the guy is just over the top and unlikeable (he reminded me of edward cullen). even with the whole mate thing, i'm not convinced that they fell in love within a few days. honestly i was more interested in amon the whole time. also, why are they all blonde haired and blue eyed? and the premise and the title of this book made me think this would take place at school, but school is barely an afterthought after like 20% into the book. also why the hell is king drake, her surprise third mate, getting a bj from his blood/sex slave at the end of the book while thinking about her? talk about trashy

I do not give books a five heart rating unless they do something very specific to me…I need to be thinking about the plot and trying to work out the developments of the storyline WHEN I AM TRYING TO LIVE A NORMAL EXISTENCE! Washing the dishes - Thinking about the book, Driving the kids to school - Thinking about the book, Having a shower - Thinking about the book, Trying to work - Thinking about the book! Ellie, you have had this storyline taking up my every moment, my every thought for the last 3 days and I thank you!!
Suck U revolves around the life of Everleigh (or Ever) and her friend Claire, where the focus goes beyond college and delves into their extraordinary connection with the hidden vampire community. Ever finds herself entangled in the universe's grand scheme, destined to be linked with more than one vampire. This not only challenges her to make decisions guided by her heart, but also forces her to confront the conflicts within her own mind as she navigates this unique fate.

Their attraction is immediate and neither understand why they are drawn so strongly to each other. When the truth is revealed, they both have to make a decision that will impact them for the rest of their lives.

I don't even know how I stumbled across this book. It was a couple months ago and I'm think I saw it on Instagram but I saved it and never read it until this past weekend. Kind of wishing I'd read it before.
This book gave me Vampire Diaries/Vampire Academy Vibes, even though this isn't an academy book. It had well-developed characters, with lots of side characters that I hope get more screen time in the future. In fact, I liked a couple of the supporting characters almost as much if not more than some of the main. (Cough. Cough.) Claire and Bass. Maybe even Nessa.
This story follows Ever (love that name) and Talon, who are total strangers but the universe seems to be pushing them together, even though Ever is a Human and Talon a Vampire. I love mated series. And this book is done well. Sometimes in mated tales, I feel like they fall for each other too soon, like it's forced, but I didn't get that vibe with this one.
My only complaint really, is I realized too late this is a progressive RH, so the FMC only had one love interest in the first book and will add another in the second.
Overall an excellent read and I hope book 2 comes out soon.
This book has been on my radar for quite some time possibly because of the unfortunate title and cover. But I'm so glad I gave it a go.
As the title suggests, this series involves vampires. Of course they're hidden amongst the living. Our heroine stumbles upon their world accidentally and is immediately drawn in.
It's a slow burn reverse harem. I'm thinking she claims a mate in each book, but you get glimpses of who her mates will be. I like to guess who the MMCs in each reverse harem and we're definitely given false leads early in the beginning. (There are at least 3 men that work with our MMC that lead you to think they might be one. I don't think that was the author's intention though)
Two other mates are revealed in this book and I'd say one is less than ideal. We'll have to see what happens in the next book to witness any sort of development, if there is one between the FMC and this specific mate. Another mate tells his POV and he hasn't met her yet, technically.
If you like fated mates, stalkers, vampires, forced proximity, chosen one tropes, this one is for you.
Although this is based on the FMC going to college, there is not much of a focus on it.
I've been waiting for the chance to read this for a year, and I'm happy to report, it did not disappoint 👏
The Good: This book had everything my little ❤️ could possibly desire. Romance. A stalker. Fated Mates. Besties. I mean, Claire is hilarious 😂
The Great: Despite this being a fated mates trope, I didn't feel like I was reading the same old, same old for the millionth time. It was new & fresh. There's also a Vampire Diaries vibe that I loved, especially since the author says there will be numerous storylines in this series. I also really enjoyed the authors take on the types of Vampires 🧛♀️ no spoilers, but it's definitely a new take.
The Bad: This isn't a bad thing but...while this story is wrapped up nicely with a little bow, the epilogue starts the next book and it left me on a bit of a cliffhanger 😳 but also completely begging for book 2.
First 5 star I've given out in a while but well deserved 👏
Suck U is a perfect read for lovers of shows like Vampire Diaries, the Originals and Tru Blood. If you are a fan of Christine Feehan or Laura K. Hamilton I would give this one a try.
Suck U is a new adult vampire romance following Ever and Talon. After a chance encounter these two can't shake the attraction between them . Talon is everything you want in a Vampire MMC in and out of the bedroom. Ellie Aiden delivers a spicy slow burn with enemies to lovers and touch her and die vibes. These are my favorite tropes especially in a Paranormal Romance.
The author wrote these characters so well. There were so many moments that I could relate to Ever. The romance elements were the true star of this story but the plot delivered just as much enjoyment. Be warned the cliffhanger ending will have you craving the next installment in this series.
Please check for trigger warnings , there are some darker themes within this story
I got an arc for this one and it surprised me! It did give me Twilight/True blood vibes in a lot of ways, but it ultimately kept my attention. Ellie's writing style made it really easy to want to keep going!
Everleigh and Talon keep finding themselves in the same place, even when traveling to nearby towns. Meanwhile Everleigh has a legit stalker in an ancient royal exiled vampire. It's a good thing Talon is so drawn to her because he has to come to her rescue on more than one occasion.
Everleigh and Talon were pretty cute once they stopped denying their attraction. I got very frustrated when he ran off after feeling "the click."
I really enjoyed the side characters in this one. Bass, Claire, and Niko were awesome. Nessa, not so much.
If you're looking for vampires with spice, give this a try!

Suck U is book 1 in a long-running series with multiple storylines coming. The 1st story is part of a trilogy that follows Ever, a human, and Talon, a born Vampire. Yes, you read that right; I said BORN.
This book had a little bit of everything; romance, steam, adventure, mates, Vampires, and even a stalker. Not to mention a royal family that I hope we get more of in future books 🙏
The side characters are always the standout for me with Aiden's books. Claire is funny as hell, Bass is the best friend who I bet comes out of his shell, and Nessa is the meany we all love to hate. I can't wait to see who gets their own story. I'd even love to get the backstory on Niko. But Ace is by far my favorite.
I definitely recommend this book. and I'd put it somewhere around 4.75 Stars (rounded up for Rating purposes)
I really loved this book overall, despite there being a few disappointments. I'll start with the bad first.
*There was some development with groups, like the Enforcers, King's Guard, etc. that were mentioned early on, leaving me excited. Unfortunately, they were not developed in this first book the way I had hoped. *This is a Reverse-harem according to everything I've seen, but she only hooks up/develops a relationship with one guy in book 1
Now, the good...
*Claire, Bass, and Nessa were the best side characters. Well-developed. Claire and Bass are funny and loveable, while Nessa brings a whole other, darker personality to the story *The Epilogue was probably my favorite thing. It left me dying to start book 2 and introduced a new, exciting character.

This book is HIGHLY recommended. After reading this book it made me binge watch The Vampire Diaries again. Vampires = 👩🍳😘 I am So000 excited to continue with this series. Happy release day and thank you for sending me a copy of this amazing Arc for an honest review.
I think I'm in love. With King Drake who doesn't appear until the very end of book 1, unfortunately. Worse, book 2 isn't out yet.
This book left me chomping at the bit to get to book #2. I loved the drama and premise and felt the story progressed pretty well. It was a little short, but that just means I really enjoyed it.
This currently has a 4.5, 34 ratings, and 14 reviews. I have to be more mindful of this when choosing what to read. This book has a strong beginning with talks about vampire kings, enforcers, a stalker...but it then drags on and on, chapter after chapter, little to no action...just lots of teasing, lots of clubs, lots of rules. I can't say I recommend this book.
This is a fresh take on the vampire genre. Loved the characters and humor. although the spice moved the plot it was not overwhelming or tacky . I recommend this to anyone who likes vampire romance.
I love all of Ellie Aiden's books but this was my favorite so far. I love a good vampire story and this one had my interest right away. It left me wanting more and I can't wait to see what happens in book two.
This was a solid 3.5-4 star for me I was excited to read the next and then (spoilers) at the end of the book one of her mates has spicy relations with someone else so idk if I’ll be reading the 2nd book.
I wanted to like it and I did. This had all the vibes of the Vampire Diaries wrapped up with some Bridgerton. All the side characters were well developed and I started picking out the stories I wanted to hear next since I saw this is a long-running series. I can't wait for book 2 in the first storyline. Cannot wait!
