Re-read 2020: I still knew about the plottwist.. or maybe it was just that obvious what Whitney's plans were. This was pretty creepy, especially since dolls already terrify me. :P I wasn't a fan of Amy at all. What kind of friend are you that as soon as you move you just dump your best friend and care more about your new friends than your old friend. Bah. Terrible person. But I loved seeing Whitney and Katie together despite knowing that Whitney was not to be trusted. It was fun to see Whitney learn new words and new technology. I do wonder why the dad hasn't run away already or found a cure/fix... I wouldn't mind a book with Whitney again but this time someone can save everyone. And again, as I said in my review of 2014, I would have SO not come back to Whitney's house after all that happened + the dolls. NO thank you.
--------------------------------------
This was a very very creepy book. Especially that plot twist at the ending, oh my oh my.
I didn't always like Katie, I wish she was more outspoken and clearly let Whitney know about her dolls, or let her BFF (or should we say ex) know she doesn't like what happens between them. Instead she just goes along and does whatever everyone does. I also don't understand why she didn't stay away, I am sorry and all, but if there are dolls and something scary happens during night... I am never ever coming back to that house no matter how nice the person is. Though I probably would never have entered the house in the first place. Dolls *Shivers* Nope.
Whitney, I already had my suspicions about her. The way she treated her dolls, the way she treated her dad (seriously what the hell with that? Dad just does everything his daughter says. Though, we later find out why he does that and I feel sorry for him). I didn't like her. Not one bit.
Katie's best friend. Urgh, I disliked her even more. So rude and just dumping your best friend only a short time after getting to a new place? Was she ever a best friend? Or was she just pretending?
The plot was great and I really enjoyed it. It was really creepy and I had goosebumps at some parts.
I would really recommend this book to everyone looking for a creepy book.
Best Friends Forever is one of my favorites from the Creepover series. I’ve read this book two years ago and I’ve remembered that I finished it in a day! I’m a bit over aged for this book now but the story line is simple but unforgettable and OMG the ending it totally “Crept” me out. Get it?
Katie was sad that her best friend “Amy” had to leave her to another place. Soon a new girl called “Whitney” joins the school that seems nice. Katie was asked to go to her house multiple times. They had a sleepover but there was something strange… Whitney’s shelves are full of doll collections and at night Katie could hear someone calling her name. As the story continues Katie starts to notice that something was wrong….
I really like this book and I would recommend this to children aged 8-12 but if you’re older… It’s totally fine.
Did finished it in one sitting and.. oh my goshhh!! I swear it creeps me out for a Middle grade book this is actually worth it. And the vibes!! I was getting 🤌 it's like a perfect combination of the Addams family x Coraline.. y'all Whitney gave me goosebumps, I new it from the beginning that she was suspicious. Anyways 10/5🌟 absolutely would recommend. And now I cannot sleep.. help 😰😃
THIS BOOK WAS GREAT !!! I never thought all of Whitney's dolls were once real people and now since Katie's best friend moved away and now it's Katie's turn ... And she's getting a new best friend of she likes it or not ...

I really loved this book It was easy to read and it was pretty scary. The other books ive read from this author wernt very scary, but this one was pretty scary. it was about the last 20 pages became scary but after that, it was a really good book and I enjoyed it.
This book was good but not the best compared to the rest of the creepover books. It was cool and all but the ending thumbs down. I still have questions that were never answered. I loved the concept of the story but one question I still have is why did Amy start being so mean and not sign her text messages rightly? If you like to read about creepy dolls you should read this one.
Talk about a creepy middle grade book! It was actually very enjoyable and kept the tension until the end.
SPOILERS: However it did miss the explanation of how Whitney pulled this off and how seemingly no one seems to know about her doing this to children...? Also isn’t it pretty obvious when Whitney moves around like every 6 weeks? And wouldn’t Katie’s parents check Whitney’s house first thing when they found out that she was missing? Since that was the last place that Katie’s was seen at... But at least it keeps the reader thinking about what could have happened after the events in this book.

I loved this book! I had looked for this book for ever but the library didn’t have it. I went to my school library, and found it! I was super excited and finished it in school. I loved Whitney and Amy and Katie, and how their characters were set up and built. However, I didn’t like how the book was so predictable. I obviously new Whitney had turned all her “Best friends” into dolls, and Katie was next. I also didn’t like how Amy had totally ditched Katie for her Study Buddy, Kira. This book was awesome and scary all rolled in one! 🙀🙀🙀🙀😻😻😻😻😻😹😹😹😹👻👻👻👻😈😈😈👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏🤗🤗🤗🤗😱😱😱😱😨😨😨😨😯😯😯😯😯😯😮😮😮😮😮😮🤪🤪🤪🤪😜😜😜😜😋😋😋😛😛😛😝😝😝🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😘😘😘😗😗😉😉😉☺️☺️🙃🙃🙃🙂🙂🙂😇😇😇😊😊😊😀😃😄😄😁😆

The story is interesting and the characters engaging. Katie’s best friend since kindergarten, Amy, moves away and gets new friend. So does Katie, but the results aren‘t quite as good. The author is an adept storyteller so it flows well BUT it IS creepy. The creepy ending is why it probably should not be read by kids. Ages recommend on the back cover in the “Simon Spotlight” (Sime and Schuster) says 8 – 12 but perhaps that is too young.
This one was even creepier than the last! Though I figured out the plot pretty quickly on, it was a fantastic story for a kid's book. The character struggles were so real (beyond the creepy doll theme)!
Ahhh this one was probably one of my least favorite of the series. It may just be because I'm outside of the target audience age for this book but this one was so unbelievable.
The dolls scared me, but I loved the book. every detail from describing the girls room that was filled with dolls made a really nice image of what i was thinking while i was reading it on my head. Love the book, these series just keep on making me read more of their books.
Only the first book in this series that I’ve read but very promising. Horror elements with good writing and more developed characters or at least characters with more emotional depth than, say, a Goosebumps protagonist. The ending surprised me.

Then it al made sense all of the dolls were her best friends rom all over te world so she could be with them forever Katie would be a doll forever an she would hav to watch the next victim be turned into a doll.....i loved this book my fav scry book
I've gotten into the Creepover books recently for comfort reading, because I love the suspense, the spookiness, and the fear within them. The books are a step up from Goosebumps and usually I find they're much scarier (which still isn't that scary but enough to be entertaining).
This one, however, seemed to lack suspense. The book is so caught up in the normal drama of Amy moving away and Whitney not being Amy that there was almost no space left for proper foreshadowing. If it wasn't for the book jacket and the ending, this could have been a normal story instead of a spooky one. I have two more of the Creepovers currently checked out from the library, and I hope they trend more toward 'Ready for a Scare?' and 'You Can't Come In!' than the later books in the series. Half-ass horror isn't for me, even in kid's books.
A girl named Katie is really sad because her BFF went away. Then at school, a new pretty girl called Whitney comes and wants to be her BFF. She had visited to many places before.
Her BFF seems to have another BFF. Than, Whitney invited Katie to a sleepover. She have so much dolls on the shelfs, and they look real. At night, she heard someone calling her...............
I like this book because this book is really really scary, about Katie's friend Whitney and the dolls. I recommend this book to 8-or more years old kids. This book is really good! You should read it.
I knew the ending was coming; couldn't be any more obvious. But otherwise, I can't help but sympathize with Katie. In a situation where her best friend moves away, I'd probably be pissed off as well.
That sounded bad XD! Well you'll see exactly what Katie is so angry about in the book. Meanwhile, I'll give this book 4 stars!
This book was odd. I wouldn't recommend this because of the end. Whitney turns Katie into a doll, and all we end up knowing is that Whitney is going to turn another of her friends into a doll. Another thing I hated about the book is that Whitney turned her mother into a doll. I mean what kind of book for girls is that? Just because of that book I decided to stop reading more Creepover books.

It was really interesting what had happened to Katie because it connects to Whiteny's habbit. Which the dolls which she collects in every country as they move. And what are you going to eat if you are going to eat one kind of candy forever???
I liked the premise of this one. It flowed very nicely but I wish it had been a little more fleshed out. I would have liked to see more about the parents and how exactly the character gets the dolls.
