Hello Goodreads! + Advice on the interwebs

I am thrilled to now be on Goodreads as an author! Thank you to everyone who has already added BRIGHTLY BURNING to their to-read shelf. I've been overwhelmed by the positive reception!

I'll be blogging every so often here, mostly posting updates on the book/events/giveaways, etc. I'm already pretty active on other parts of the interwebs, specially when it comes to writing and publishing advice.

I send out a monthly newsletter that includes updates on my projects (including UpvoteYA podcast, Author Mentor Match & more), info on BRIGHTLY BURNING, and at it's core: writing & publishing advice. I've already covered querying basics, revision, and agent fit, and have much more planned.

To that end, I've also just launched a series on Wattpad called #HowToAuthor. I've compiled older advice from my (now defunct) website blog and newsletter issues, and am writing reams of new material to publish on Wattpad over the coming weeks, months and year (as I go through my debut year). I've already started publishing on Drafting & Revision, as well as Agents & Submission. I'll continue to post new parts to both of those, as well as start publishing the Book Deals & Marketing and Worst Case Scenarios installments. All told, I'll have at least 30K words of publishing advice to publish, if not more.

My aim is to offer practical advice but also transparent "real talk" about publishing. There is so much we don't talk about and I hope to elucidate things a bit.

Otherwise, I'm very active on Twitter and Instagram.

Yolanda Daniel I just wanted to comment that Alexa Donne's willingness to help upcoming authors is a truly genuine approach. I am in her debt for all the advice I have taken from her author youtube channel.
