M.D. Cooper Hi David, the next series is Sentience Wars: Solar War 1.

The first book in that series is Eve of Destruction.
M.D. Cooper Hi there, you can hit the series map (linked at the top of the books page on aeon14.com) or you can grab the reading guide, which is also linked there.

However, the easy answer is to start with Outsystem. Reading that will guide you through the series and the info at the back of the book will tell you what flows next.
M.D. Cooper Hey Brent, Amazon doesn't give us as many tools to run promotions outside of the US and UK, but I do run 99c sales on every single one of my books in Canada as well, I just have to do them a bit later on than the US/UK sales.

I'll have a 99c sale on this book in Canada/Australia/etc... coming in October. If you sign up for my newsletter at aeon14.com/signup, you'll get emails about them all :)
M.D. Cooper Hey Jack,

Star City is mentioned in the Perseus Gate Season 1 books (There are two omnibus editions you can get: The Trail Through the Stars, and The Path Amongst the Clouds). The fourth book in the standalones is titled "The Last Bastion of Star City".

The story where Tanis met extragalactic beings is in a book called Bob's Bar. There are some more scenarios where she meets them in the Aeon 14 universe, but those are not yet written (a few months out still).
M.D. Cooper Hi Wilco,

Shore Leave should be the only book available as paperback, everything else is in ebook as well. The way to get Shore Leave at present (until Sept 20) is to pick it up in the Galactic Genesis anthology. That anthology is 6 books for the price of 1 and has Shore Leave in it).
M.D. Cooper Hey John,

I'm doing my best to get them all narrated, but it takes some time to get narration done, so it's going to be behind for awhile. My main focus at present is main story line and the books most connected to it.

The list of books at http://www.aeon14.com/audiobooks is in reading order, but could use some more detail on that front. A few are not in place yet, but they'll be out in a few months, and missing them won't be the end of the world.

Here's the quick list:

Outsystem
A Path in the Darkness
Building Victoria
Destiny Lost
New Canaan
The Gate at the Grey Wolf Star
The World at the Edge of Space
The Dance on the Moons of Serenity
The Last Bastion of Star City (forthcoming)
The Toll Road Between the Stars (forthcoming)
The Final Stroll on Perseus's Arm (forthcoming)
Orion Rising
Close Proximity
Strike Vector
The Scipio Alliance
Collision Course

Then there's the Sentience Wars books, which take place 1000 years before these. It begins with Lyssa's Dream and the others are in production.

I'll also have another series, Rika's Marauders, that will be coming out in a few months too. They eventually merge in with the main storyline.
M.D. Cooper Hi Antonio, Rika Outcast is being narrated right now! OK, maybe not *right* now. But it'll be out in March at some point.

Rika's decision to remain as a cyborg is partially out of fear and a lack of self esteem. She tried to be a regular person (as much as she could) and was reviled. But when she went back to being a cyborg killing machine, people accepted her and she had value.

This has messed up her self image so that she thinks its what she's meant to do. Underneath she worries that if there's no one left for her to fight, then she has no more value.

Underlying that is how she feels (as do many people in similar situations) that she is different from the norm, and draws a distinction between "them" and "us". She does this to protect herself, but it also makes it so that she doesn't ever think she can be one of "them".

However, when she understands how modded people in the ISF are, she'll gain a new perspective, I suspect ;)
M.D. Cooper Hey P. C, you're right! Rika Redeemed is missing, it should be right before Rika Triumphant. The Woman Who Lost Everything should be right after The Woman Who Seized an Empire (the later is in the reading guide).

Here's an updated list. Note: the three Woman Who books can be read at any time after Destiny Lost. Ideally read them before Orion Rising, and read at least the first two before Attack on Thebes--if you're a completionist ;)

1. Destiny Rising
2. Building Victoria
3. Destiny Lost
4. Set the Galaxy on Fire
5. New Canaan
6. The Gate at the Grey Wolf Star
7. The World at the Edge of Space
8. The Dance on the Moons of Serenity
9. The Last Bastion of Star City
10. The Toll Road Between the Stars
11. The Final Stroll on Perseus’s Arm
12. The Woman Without a World
13. The Woman Who Seized an Empire
14. The Woman Who Lost Everything
15. Orion Rising
16. A Meeting of Minds and Bodies
17. Ignite the Stars
18. Close Proximity
19. Strike Vector
20. Rika Mechanized
21. Rika Outcast
22. The Scipio Alliance
23. Collision Course
24. Rika Redeemed
25. Rika Triumphant
26. Attack on Thebes
M.D. Cooper The story that was originally released as The Sol Dissolution was bundled into the Destiny Rising extended Edition of Outsystem and A Path in the Darkness.

It's a bit pricey, but if you join my mailing list at www.aeon14.com/signup, you'll get notified about sales every so often.
M.D. Cooper Hi P.C. there sure is. You can pick up the reading guide book where I outline good starting places and where to branch off: https://www.amazon.com/Aeon-14-Readin...
M.D. Cooper That would be fantastic, though a bit tough to do with all the skipping through time. Still, Netflix could probably do it justice :)
M.D. Cooper Absolutely! Tantor has picked up the whole series and we're kicking off the production of all four audio books in a few weeks. They estimate just a couple of months before the first comes out.
M.D. Cooper I either slog through it and get *something* down, or I skip ahead to something that is better formed in my mind and get that down.
M.D. Cooper Reading a story or a passage and getting into it as much as if it was someone else's work and then realizing, "hey! I wrote this!"
M.D. Cooper Write every day, even if it is just for 10 minutes. Do not go back and re-edit until the rough draft is done. If you write every day, you won't need to look back, because you'll remember what you had written yesterday.
M.D. Cooper The scientific aspects of my work come from reading a lot of tech and astronomy sites. I think about how technology will advance and the things we'll do in the future.

The characters come from reading books and watching my favorite shows. I have a lot of influences--too may to list, but for books, this series is heavily influenced by Elizabeth Moon, Tanya Huff, and Mike Shepherd. On the TV/Movies side, shows like Firefly, StarGate SG1, Star Trek Voyager may rank as top influences.

Book 4 will show the Firefly influence, an SG1 influence is the fact that the space force is based on Air Force structure, not Naval, and Voyager influenced by showing a strong female character (Captain Janeway) done right.

Day-to-day, I get inspired to keep going by the excitement from the day before. If I write every day, I will write the next day.
M.D. Cooper My current work in progress is the 4th book in the Intrepid Saga: Destiny Lost. The book will be released on Nov 1, 2016.

I've also spent some time on the 5th book in the series, tentatively named "Colony".
