Kaaron Warren I haven't read that one, but it sounds fascinating. I love books that look at the world from a different angle.
I'm reading Shadows & Tall Trees, a short story anthology. Talking about looking at the world from a different angle, each of these stories do that, in different ways. (I have a story in there, which is why I have a copy). A more straightforward but excellent read was Jesse Kellerman's The Brutal Art.
Kaaron Warren Waking up in the moment and knowing I have stories to work on. Having the ideas and being able to express them. Also the freedom 'being a writer' gives you. People expect you to be a bit whacky and odd, which is good!
Kaaron Warren My latest book is set in a Time Ball Tower, a setting inspired by the amazing Maunsell Sea Forts. The terror of attack, and the isolation of the forts, and the abandoment of them, all fascinated me.
