Wow some very bitter sensitive and judgmental clowns all over the forum getting their panties in a bunch all because I voiced my own personal fact.

Congratulations to 4 Time Grammy Album of the Year Winner Taylor Swift!!!

What was the last song that spent over 10 weeks at #1 and missed ROTY? Besides, that Morgan Wallen song, as we already know the controversy he spewed.

Y’all are still stuck on category placement. “I Remember Everything” is not “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” – a song that was big not only on Country, but also Rhythmic, Pop and Hip Hop/R&B. There is way bigger appeal with “A Bar Song” than “I Remember Everything,” and the former is probably closer to “Old Town Road” (regardless of its category placement) in terms of sheer popularity.

Old Town Road had big pop appeal. It won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. And it had a ver iconic music video. It won VMAs. Lil Nas X was way more visible than Shaboozey. He had another hit that proved he is not a one hit wonder. And Panini was also Grammy nominated. He got support from pop, rap and country. I just feel nobody outside country world really care about A Bar Song. Maybe the beyhive. And we forget country voters could choose other country veterans before a black newcomer. This song is really carried by radio at this point because in streaming it already lost the momentum.

“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is currently #7 on Spotify and is the best-selling song of the year. You’re understating that song’s popularity outside of radio. And for what it’s worth, radio helped “Old Town Road” a lot later in its run…

Yeah, “Old Town Road” won Pop Duo/Group Performance, but again, simply a case of category placement. Probably would have lost in the Country field. Either way, “A Bar Song (Song)” being a 15 week #1 (and could probably challenge OTR, or tie it) probably makes it closer to “Old Town Road” than “I Remember Everything.” Again, besides that Morgan Wallen song, how many 10+ week #1s missed ROTY? I’m sure there are some, but it’s probably not that many.

I think A Bar Song is the true dark horse in R/SOTY. If he gets big support by Country/Americana, he could surprise.

Absolutely. Especially since he does not come across as making the music because it’s trendy or for a new rebrand.

I wouldn’t put it past them to continue to show no support for Beyonce but throw support behind him for a song (not an album).

I do think both Bey and Shaboozey will lose in the Country field to their usual suspects. Voting being limited to a certain group makes this type of thing happen more often now than ever. It will be interesting to see how Shaboozey fares at CMAs.

Honey, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is totally happening in Record of the Year.  That song is undeniable.

I do think stating “so and so will get in cause of insert chart reason here” is dangerous. A Bar Song (Tipsy) is one of the best songs of the year, and would be very deserving of a ROTY nod. Whether or not that happens though has nothing to do with how many weeks it was at #1

Country can make it in but it needs to have pop crossover appeal, which “A Bar Song” has. “I Remember Everything” peaked #30 on pop radio while “A Bar Song” has been #1 for weeks.

Successfully manifested the Kieran Culkin emmy
