What is Descent in The Division 2?
Descent in The Division 2 is a completely new rouge-lite game mode that condenses the power-progression of the main game into a smaller, repeatable frame. This will give players the same feeling of growth as in the main game, but without having to start a whole new character.
The new game mode is somewhat similar to that of The Summit, where you are progressing through a more confined space than the open streets of D.C. or New York. However, unlike The Summit, the surprise of Descent lies within what you find inside each area instead of the random nature of the areas themselves.
Furthermore, as opposed to the main game there is no gear within Descent, with 'PowerUps' instead populating the rewards that you will accumulate. This means a much more flexible approach, where you can pick any gun and apply various talents free of the management that gear brings.
