Ubisoft made a small mistake this week by accidentally posting The Division Heartland onto the Ubisoft Store and then removing it.
Ubisoft have been relatively quiet about The Division Heartland so far, with the only official details we know about the game being that it's a free to play shooter set in the post-apocalyptic world of The Division. There have been numerous leaks about how the game will play over the last year, but news about its release has been sparse since it was quietly delayed in 2021. However, it seems Ubisoft have accidentally listed the game on their store before removing it, suggesting that an announcement may be coming soon.
The Division Heartland Leaked On Ubisoft Store
The Division Heartland was accidentally listed as "coming soon" on the Ubisoft Store before being removed shortly after (though it's still available in some territories), but a Twitter user named Unknown1Z1 managed to capture the full posting. While the game was already officially revealed previously, we've had no information for a while now about when it's set to release, but it being listed as "coming soon" suggests it may be closer than previously thought.
This leak also comes right before the Ubisoft Forward showcase, which is set to occur on September 10, meaning the game may be getting a full showing and release date there.
What Is The Division Heartland?
Per the leaked store page, we have some new official information about The Division Heartland. It's set to be a multiplayer PvEvP shooter in a similar vein to Escape From Tarkov, allowing up to 45 players to take part in Storm Operations against other players and an AI faction called the Vultures.
You'll be given the choice to play as one of six agents, and select from between three classes, which will decide the perks and skills you can take into a game, allowing you to carve out your own playstyle. In a given match, there are multiple goals to take part in, such as completing PvE missions, gathering new gear, activating alerts, and prepping for Excursion Operations.
It sounds like it will have many similarities to the mainline The Division series, although designed to be more suited for multiplayer, but we'll likely find out more during the Ubisoft Forward on September 10.
