Black Ops 6 has been branded with the tag that it’s “four years in the making”, and so original content has been pushed to the front of the queue.

16 brand-new maps will headline Black Ops 6 multiplayer, with only a poor man’s Nuketown boasting any resemblance of a remaster.

But as Treyarch has already lent a hand from MW3 and Sledgehammer Games to populate the post-launch content, fans are hoping that some remasters do come into play, but with some unorthodox choices.

Black Ops fans hope older maps get remastered

Treyarch has reimagined its favourite maps many times. The regular offenders of Raid, Standoff, Firing Range, Summit, Hijacked, and Jungle have all joined Nuketown in being remastered for different titles since their respective Black Ops 1 or 2 debuts.

But moving forward, fans don’t want to see these same maps arrive in Black Ops 6, and would prefer if some more unloved archives will be given a second chance.

Taking to Reddit, fans have been putting up their requests for some different remasters, and there are plenty of hidden gems in the list.

Excluding maps like Nuketown, Raid, Summit and Hijacked, what maps would yall like to see return?

Off the bat, Black Ops 1's list of maps populated the comments. Radiation and Grid featured in popular requests, while Hazard and Havana were favoured.

Black Ops 2's lesser-loved maps got support as well. Cove, Plaza, and Yemen were all called for.

Some futuristic maps were also mentioned, albeit with some tweaks. Fringe, Combine, Stronghold, and Seaside were all popular choices, knowing that wall-running wasn't too prevalent on them and a boots-on-the-ground adaptation wouldn't be too hard.

Breach and Hacienda are noted to be coming from Black Ops 4, having been found to be within the new Warzone map Avalon, which also got some love in the thread.

It turns out that Black Ops has a massive portfolio of good and popular maps to choose from when it comes to post-launch content, and any of these throwbacks will likely be good additions.
