CD Projekt RED has announced Cyberpunk 2077 expansion “Phantom Liberty.” It will launch in 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PC, and Stadia.
“Phantom Liberty” will introduce a new cast of characters, who protagonist V will come into contact with inside a new location within Night City. Hollywood star Keanu Reeves will also reprise his role as rebel rocker Johnny Silverhand.
“Johnny Silverhand is coming back and so am I,” Reeves said in a video message. “Get ready for ‘Phantom Liberty,’ the upcoming expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. It’s awesome to be back playing the role of Johnny and I hope you’re excited to see him rock it out once more in the dark future. Keep an eye out for more info and I’ll see you again in Night City.”
CD Projekt RED also shared more information about Cyberpunk 2077‘s “Edgerunners” update, or Patch 1.6, which introduces equippable items from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime to the game, including the jacket worn by anime protagonist David Martinez and the shotgun used by another character from the show. The update also adds various new features to the game including a clothing transmog system, cross-platform progression, playable Roach Race minigame arcade cabinets, and more. It will also be the last update supported by PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
