I only use the Polaroid app scanner, but I am very picky about the lighting conditions when I do so. Very easy to get shadows, glares, reflections, or colors that don’t turn out quite right

Most of the time I use my Epsom v800 but I’ll also use the Polaroid app if I’m pushed for time. The app makes the images a bit more contrasty than they are in real life though which is a pain for more delicate images.

I have an Epson v500. Old but still does the job, just need to be careful with the levels as the polaroid frame can throw it off.

For me the Polaroid app for speed. I also have an Epson 4490 photo with home made scan adapters but the Epson software is now very old.

@MelvynJ:

Check out the SilverFast 9 software, it is way better than the Epson software.

Epson V600. I just lay them straight on the glass. If you remove the clip-in cover from the lid it completely avoids Newtons rings.

Another Epson V600 user here. Since a couple of years ago I used the Impossible Holder to scan 4 pictures and keeping them slightly above the scanner glass. Than the adhesive lost power and now I simply place the foto on the scanner glass. Newton rings? Yes, sometimes but in my opinion the imperfection is part of the Polaroid game therefore I accept them.

If time is a problem I use the iphone app but reflections and lights make it not my first choice.

Been using a CanoScan LiDE 120 for almost 8 years. Flatbed, scanner only, excellent with the colors and contrast of Polaroid, I can fit six down at a time, rarely get Newton rings.

Meredith Wilson I also use Epson Scan V and I agree with your opinion. I only use the Polaroid app to connect with the cameras.
