6th London Flickr Group Photowalk - 29th October 2pm
fozelek says:
We’ll start off at Brompton Cemetery in West London, following a request from a previous photowalker. |
ZX9 - Keith H says:
Great, it sounds like a good route in a part of London that I don't know so well. I hope to be with you all again on this one, unfortunately I had to miss out on the Olympic Park walk due to a prior engagement.

I think you've come up with a great route. I've been meaning to get to Brompton Cemetery for ages. As for the date, people will even get an extra hour in bed next morning.....

Visiting cemeteries is right up my street so to speak. However, I'm actually going to be in the Brompton Catacombs on the fifth of November (SubBrit visit) so I may be overdoing the death theme here. |
|
Darrell Godliman says:
HoosierSands: A shame as it would've been great to meet you. Enjoy the Catacombs....... Having done the more obvious photowalk destinations now we'll be doing more of these 'slightly off the beaten track' walks next year. |

Planning to be there.

Hi all, just a reminder - one week to go before the Brompton Cemetery, Holland Park and Portobello Road market photowalk. Full details at the top of this thread. |

Darrell Godliman says:
I'll be there as I'm looking forward to seeing some bits of London I'm not familiar with. I'll also probably pop by the Frieze Sculptures in Regents Park in the morning as they're only there for a few more weeks ( viewer.mapme.com/aa44e7e0-a315-4131-85d2-5ab56fe64837 ). |

Great shame I can't make it Colin. Looks like a good route. Hope the weather is kind for you and I'll keep my eyes skinned for the 7th walk.

The intention is there but, it will be up to what my body dictates on the day. If I manage to join, more than likely I will split before completing the intended route.

Have a good one, I'll be nearby but unable to join you. I'll get there one day!

thanks for replying, hope to see you next time. |

Looks like it will be dry and unseasonally warm for the photowalk. Let's hope last week's storm hasn't removed all the leaves...

Colin, thanks so much for organising and thanks for letting me know. I’ll be there! 14:00 today! I’m trying to bring my daughter too.

Decided to test my recollection. I was at the Brompton Cemetery 11 ½ years ago:) |

Thank you all for a great afternoon, not a lot to show at the minutes as all the Brompton photos were taken on the film camera, here is one form Holland Park. |

Thanks to for organising another great photowalk. Another bad journey back - train cancelled due to lack of staff - but did not mar the day! |

Thanks to everyone that made it along yesterday for what turned out to be a great Autumn afternoon of photography. |

I think I'm currently free on the 3rd and 4th Dec. Having stumbled across parts of the Lowline before I think it would be a good option, not least as it would be less sunshne dependent than a lot of other options.
|
|
ZX9 - Keith H says:
I should be good for either day. |
|
Huw J says:
Thanks for organising the walk, had a great day, will try and post some pictures soon. |
|
ZX9 - Keith H says:
A couple more from Holland Park. |
|
tompagenet says:
Lowline sounds good - I used to work at Palestra (glass building opposite Southwark Tube station) and still do some days, so know bits of it and don't know others. Would enjoy. I'm free on 3rd Dec (sadly not 4th). |
