Darrell Godliman says:
In conjunction with fellow Moderator Fozelek I can now announce the next Photowalk will take place at 2pm on Sunday 10h July. |
Lynchey says:
As I missed the last walk count me in for this one.
|
|
Darrell Godliman says:
Lynchey: Your absence was noted so good to hear you'll be able to join us this time.
|

phillmackenzie says:
I will be there probably on my own
|

Sounds good to me. Looking forward already ;-)

Great to see the interest! |
|
Darrell Godliman says:
Looks like it should be but fingers crossed the weather next weekend is more photographer friendly than it is this weekend......

yinklink says:
I am hoping to make this date with a couple of friends.
|
|
Darrell Godliman says:
yinklink: Excellent, hope to see you then.

Have fun - I look forward to seeing the photos since I'll be missing it again (at least I'll be in Copenhagen, which is a photogenic place too!). Here's to the next one!

Geza (aka Wilsing) says:
I am interested - with my usual caveats.

Sorry I can't go this time! I'm singing in a choral concert near Banbury on the 9th, and my Dad will be visiting. Have fun again!

Nick Biswell says:
Seeing as I missed out on Photo24 this year, I'm thinking about joining this one
|
|
Darrell Godliman says:
Nick Biswell: No big prizes (or even little ones) but you'd be very welcome to join us for the afternoon.

Darrell Godliman says:
breakbeat: We're planning to end up at a Hackney Wick microbrewery for about 5pm so if you just have the one pint and then get the overground train back to Stratford then I'd think it would be 6pm. If you have two and then walk back to Stratford I'd think it would be 7pm.
|
|
breakbeat says:
ticket bought, see you there

Have fun folks, regretably I can't make this one due to prior a engagement in Hyde Park.

A week to go so I've just checked the forecast : looks like we should have a decent temperature with sunshine and clouds. We've had mixed luck with the weather for previous Photowalks so fingers crossed....... |

Can anyone come along?
|
|
Darrell Godliman says:
jimbowen0306: Yes, the idea is it's an informal social event, albeit one with a focus on photography (pun not fully intended.....). If you have partners, kids, friends, relatives, pets etc that fancy a relatively relaxed pace walk on a sunny Sunday afternoon they're welcome to come along.

Just to reassure you all bearing in mind the heat - |

Just to remind folks, from a post way above:- |

Oops that copy & paste streetview is clearly lost in translation. I hope this is the desired point (bottom of escalator, under the Stratford Place name on the building):- |

Hi all, was hoping to make this but having a tricky time. Fingers crossed that the next one comes when the waters are a bit calmer.

Geza (aka Wilsing) says:
As much as I intended to, I will not be joining you today, My grandson is coming for a Sunday lunch - a rare occasion nowadays - followed by watching the Wimbledon final together. He will always take priority. Wishing you happy shooting and looking forward to your posts.

Lynchey says:
I must apologise again cannot believe I am missing two in a row but work calls. Hope you guys have a good walk.

Thanks for the updates from people. At the meeting point now, or more accurately a few metres away in the shade…. Think it’s going to be a bit warm this afternoon.
|
|
fozelek says:
are you making it via another route?
|
|
Darrell Godliman says:
Jim Bowen we’re heading off towards the Orbit. Post here if you’re trying to catch up with us and we’ll sort something out.

Great walk today and a welcome pit stop on a hot day at the nice pub in Hackney Wick. Thanks Darrell and Colin for organising it. Here's the first contribution. Originally posted 29 months ago. (permalink) Croydon Clicker edited this topic 29 months ago. |

Thanks to everyone that made it on what was probably one of the hottest days of the year....... The next one will probably be early to mid September so things may be slightly cooler then. |

Not one from this trip, but I managed to dig out my photo of the pre-refurbishment Lord Napier from 2019.... NB I'd edited out the rude word in the graffiti - from "s***house to penthouse" to make it SFW. |

Yes, I cannot believe that a pub of this age originally had a flat roof - some historical research is in order! has beat me to a near identical posting, but I am working on it!
