Sly’s directorial debut, and it’s not bad at all. Of course, if you're expecting Fellini, turn elsewhere, but the story of the brothers in the famous Hell's Kitchen has a good atmosphere, solid performances and avoids the usual clichés. Sly may be a bit repetitive in relation to Rocky, but that's something you can live with. I believe Stallone wanted to make films like this, but the wheels of commerce got the better of him. The question is whether that was a good or a bad thing for us viewers. ()
