Recensie (1)
Well-known Italian trasher Umberto Lenzi evidently wanted to make a respectable giallo thriller and rub shoulders with Dario Argento. He put beautiful actresses and attractive actors in front of the camera, dressed them up in colourful costumes, shot them with a wide-angle camera and directed his own screenplay about a murder plot, the gradual uncovering of the killer and false leads. But Lenzi is NOT Argento and his film is not the slightest bit suspenseful, mysterious or atmospheric. What’s even worse is that it’s boring, with minimum build-up and a naïve final revelation. But the effort can be appreciated. In the context of Lenzi’s filmography, Eyeball is still an above-average work. ()
