As I already noted for the original version, I consider this remake to be more successful, although it remains equally unfinished in terms of set design. In this version, however, I definitely see a benefit in Miroslava Šafránková's natural and full-of-life creation. The trio of Kostka, Obermaier, and Dlouhý fits better into the update of the story, where the household of a widowed taxi driver is metaphorically transformed into a desert island. Pešek, Havelková, and Jelínek were too beholden to the lyrical, exaggerated vision of the second half of the 1950s. ()
For the first half of the 1970s - a period of normalized folly - and considering its source, this is a decently made television film for youth, supported by the sensitive direction of Karel Kachyňa and the acting talent of a young Miroslava Šafránková. Overall impression 55%. ()
Miroslava Šafránková is as impressive as her older sister and she truly owns the film Robinson Girl. It stands and falls by her, entertains and saddens… Nevertheless, it still seems pretty naive. ()
