You could hardly expect a hint of reality here, but few could have known that so often it would be so asylum city style. In any case it has its own guilty pleasure style (poisonous cloud!) and so, in comparison to the (super) hero leading duo, even Superman seems like a vulnerable, shamming loser. You just have to wonder why they toil through the whole building and why they don’t just jump of the window onto the concrete pavement below; after all the couple of dozen floors is nothing which couldn’t be sorted out by a nice fall-breaking roll. But seriously... No, the word seriously can’t be used in connection with this little work. So, not so seriously. If you feel like an action spectacular where the heroes dodge explosions in slow motion at the last possible millisecond (and there is more of that here than in all of Bay’s movies put together), look no further. In the light of the dialogs and the other nonsense in the movie, the obviously digital fire and smoke is worthy of just a trivial sigh. So, it’s all very silly, but surprisingly watchable. It’s just entertaining in a different way than the creators had intended. ()
