Sussie is 14. Her father is dead, her mother an alcoholic, and Sussie is sent from one foster-home to another. She provokes, quarrels and goes beyond the limit of what most people can stand. The whole of her delicately-made body is a single appeal for love. But nobody loves Sussie. She says: "I never stay in one place long, am always on the move.
