An isolated sanitarium deep in the West Virginia wilderness is deserted after an inbred family of hillbilly cannibals escape and take revenge on their captors. Decades later, a group of college students seek refuge in the now abandoned hospital after a blizzard derails their plans for a weekend winter break. But when the students encounter the medical ward's most frightening former patients, their only choice is to fight back... or die trying!

I’ve made a screenshot so future generations will see that Wrong Turn 4 was in the red for some time, otherwise they won’t believe it. (I will comment when I recover, Filmbooster never ceases to amaze me.) After the awful third part, I thought that Declan O’Brien had managed to kill this promising franchise, but it seems that he didn’t and Fox gave him another chance. The fourth one is surprisingly a little less bad than the previous one, but it’s still brown and stinks… When they’re chopping up the victims, it’s is quite watchable, but when the characters have some interaction, the whole thing is laughable. It’s awfully acted, awfully directed, it’s really beyond my comprehension how anyone can praise it. It’s pure subjectivism. ()
Oh well..what am I wasting my time on again? I have seen worse movies, but I would definitely classify Wrong Turn 4 in the list of the worst horror films without hesitation. The acting performances were scarier than the appearances of the disfigured villains, well, it's a pity to even talk about it. I think I could have played it better myself. Half of the script revolved around words like "Shit"! "Fuck"! and I don't know what else. Based on the cover "Wrong Turn 4 Bloody Beginnings," I was looking forward to something new, if the story would take place in the winter season and create a beautiful contrast between the nice surroundings and the walking monsters. I will never trust the first impression again. :-) I don't know why they made a prequel when it has nothing to do with the first and best part. I hope they don't intend to continue with that. ()
Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings is a terrible sequel that is sometimes nicely gory, but when you see the awful digital effects, it's not even enjoyable to watch. Not to mention that the characters and their behavior evoke the same feelings of disgust. Does a slasher really have to be made in a way that everyone is an idiot? Is it really not possible to create characters you can root for in a film that makes sense? ()
I started to watch this movie, saw the first scene and wondered what kind of bullshit was that. Then I went to grab a beer, returned slightly intoxicated and watched the whole film with expectations. Although I understand that it will make some fans of bloody slashers happy, what I saw really pissed me off. The only thing this extreme gore slaughter did for me was make me so sick that I almost threw up those pickled sausages and seven beers on the floor. The most disgusting scenes were the ones where they did a vivisection on someone. You don’t get to see more disgusting things in a movie than this. ()
