Sven is your run-of-the-mill sweeper (a.k.a. bounty hunter) - down on his luck, haunted by the perpetual grumbling of his stomach and looking to make enough cash just to get by. When a damsel in distress enlists his aid, Sven crosses paths with the worst possible luck - Black Cat (a.k.a. Train Heartnet). At odds now with the branded assassin, Sven seeks to save a young girl before the unlucky Number can carry out his mission. (texte officiel du distributeur)

Sometimes, even the usual ingredients don't guarantee a good result – even when everything looked perfect at the start. The charming Eva as a beautiful girl in trouble, the wisecracking bounty hunter Sven, or my favorite, the mysterious gunman Train – they all seemed like great storytellers, but that alone is far from enough. As long as the spotlight features only them, Saya, or Creed, everything is fine and, despite the slower pace, the series is still a pleasant break. But then a huge amount of uninteresting supporting characters start crowding the center of the story, and the onslaught doesn't stop until the very end. This damages the continuity of the plot and its impact, and unfortunately, Black Cat doesn't have time to recover. The one-dimensional, maniacal villain doesn't help the world of Chronos and the Sweepers at all, making the lukewarm finale almost a relief for me. This story held many secrets that deserved to be revealed (the extensive past of Chronos, the experience/vision of the injured Train), and so the series remains a bitterly disappointing one. ()
