A country family unbounds by the death of the head of family and they set off for a miners' town under construction, just like their forefathers, "to take the land". As an outpost, the eldest daughter, Anna is sent, who has a stormy past. The family which follows already has to fight a lot of prejudices. It turns out that Anna was fired from the girls' dormitory for her mean conduct and her drunkard "fiancé", Karvaly Pista was sacked from the mine. The youngest daughter Tücsök need to take things in hand: she finds a job and apartment for the members of the family, she begs for taking Karvaly Pista back to the mines. The miner, who deceived in Anna now realizes: Tücsök is the real one. (texte officiel du distributeur)
