Sinopsis(1)
Primeval is a rip-roaring, special effects-laden thriller in which the past, the present and the future collide. When evolutionary zoologist Nick Cutter discovers prehistoric creatures alive and well in the present day the natural world is turned on its head and humanity faces a threat to its very existence. Unexplained anomalies are ripping holes in the fabric of time, allowing creatures from the past, and the future, to roam the modern world. Suddenly the world we thought we understood has changed. Nothing is certain. What kinds of relationships emerge in this shared world of secrets and suspense? What sort of creature can you next expect to see? Where will the next anomaly appear and what on earth will come out of it? So many questions but only one thing is sure; in Primeval the past and the future are as real as the present and they're just an anomaly away. (texto oficial de la distribuidora)

I came across this series by chance one night on TV and was immediately intrigued. I've always been fascinated by prehistoric creatures, and there are plenty of them here. The truth is, of course, and everyone has probably noticed this, that the effects are second rate and there is no comparison with the BBC dinosaurs and Jurassic Park. But I still try not to miss an episode. The cast is diverse, with the underdog Connor standing out the most, saying something funny in there from time to time. I just love dinosaurs... even the visually imperfect ones. ()
This is a B-movie in terms of content and budget, but also decently made, with appropriate pacing, without glaring mistakes, and it is overall easily digestible. It's a naive sci-fi supplemented with certain elements in the style of The X-Files. Overall impression: 50%. The special effects that appear in the series in abundance are, due to the limited budget, acceptable, but certainly won't impress spoiled viewers. ()
