Tore

Watching the series, which I put down in one sitting due to its short running time, I had a lot of trouble sympathizing with the main character for a good part of the storyline - his coping with the death of a loved one was something I really didn't understand at times. Tore definitely has a compelling premise and deals with other interesting themes besides the loss of a loved one (finding oneself, experimenting with drugs, the fragility of family/friendship bonds), yet I felt that the actual execution and especially the portrayal of some of the characters was not entirely convincing. As far as supporting characters go, the ones that spoke to me the most were Shady Meat and Heidi. Given the conclusion of the sixth episode, I'm curious to see if they will come up with another series. (18.11.2023)
