Being a grass-root mainlander in All For The Winner, Stephen Chow steps out from his low-class image and becomes a smart SDU leader in this movie. Flavored with lots of humorous elements, this is claimed to be one of the classic comedies from the '90s. The story is about Star Chow, who used to be the leader of SDU, goes to a school to be an undercover for a gun-missing case. This plot simply isn't entirely original; after all, 21 Jump Street appeared four years earlier, but it's still entertaining, and Stephen Chow is just great among the students. He fits right in, he's funny and obviously enjoys his role, just like the other actors who bring the right humor to it. Yes, it's mostly comedy, but in this case, it is not a bad thing at all.
