The new film by Felix Chong and Alan Mak is a sequel in name only. The title merely emphasizes the return of the directing duo and the same star ensemble to yet another story about information espionage, wiretapping and dubious financial transactions. This time, mirroring the real world experience after the global financial crisis, the story deals with manipulation of financial markets and develops this motive into an intense action-packed thriller about ethics and retribution. The filmmakers employ a grittier energetic style, but again keep the main focus on the characters portrayed by Hong Kong’s leading actors. (Filmasia)
