I think screenwriters should be banned from emotional abuse (the physical isn't a problem :-D) towards effeminate Asian men. Like when Woo's eyes started turning red and tears were welling up, he was kind of hilarious and pathetic. Well, by the end, I was kind of "wishing" it on him, or rather, it was his own fault, plus it was getting annoying. It all flows nicely, the series flows nicely, sometimes all the running gets tiring, but still after a while it's quite easy to catch a second wind. I may be giving spoilers now, but really only a little and not important, but I think the kid was shoved in there by the writers to give it a bit of a shock the moment the viewer hears about it. The whole "2 years later" thing is kind of hokey. Anyway, I’m noticing that it's perhaps a trend in Asian soap operas not to see the lovers for a longer period of time. It's like they're testing their love or something! And the last episode... was a little harsh on my feelings, but luckily the feelings survived and made it to the finish line, after which they were nicely vented. But the last scene is just... now I don't know whether to be annoyed or laugh. What am I talking about? Watch – from beginning to end :-) Somewhat of a better 4 stars because I laughed a lot and could sympathize with the characters. (But that Seo-hyun was pretty selfish in the beginning, huh? She made me so mad!!!) ()
Throughout the first episodes I thought there were too many absurd situations. I spent a lot of time being annoyed at how the plot developed. Da-hae Lee is a likable actress though, and Dong-wook Lee is once again incredibly charismatic. I liked the overall cast of supporting characters as well. Most of all, though, I was struck by the perfectly constructed ending... I couldn't stop wiping my tears at that one. I must also praise the great music, the many funny situations and finally (!!!) beautiful kissing. I'm giving the fifth star mainly because of the ending. ()
