Quite a good movie, which requires some suspension of disbelief, but as everything is possible, why would this be an exception? Anyhow, I really like Scandinavian dramas so I didn’t hesitate to give The Slingshot a try. I does look a bit dated, but not that much. But I liked that the whole story was told from the point of view of a little boy. What I didn’t like as much was how the boy had to fight attacks from all directions. It’s not like the boyhood in the Czech movie Boys Will Be Boys, even if it may look like it at first glance. It’s all worse and far more brutal here. Well, the boy is still pretty cool. You wouldn’t tell what he’s going through just by looking at him. Maybe that’s why I rate the way I rate it. ()
