Laughing Matters

Maria is recently unemployed and feels a little lost in her life. She takes part in a stand-up class in an attempt to revitalize herself after failing as a writer. She is in a pub and sees a nasty man come up with raucous, male chauvinistic jokes. As a result of that, she chooses to work hard in her stand-up style. By getting back at him with her own critical voice. Maria ends up on a competition tour for beginners and here she meets the same nasty guy she met that one night.
