The Liefhebbers seem to be a loving family. Jan and Lea raised their four children based on the conviction they had to arm them against the blows that life deals; keep going, never give up, be strong. The result is that Jonathan, Sam, Kasper and Maria seem to be doing fairly well in their personal lives. But when the family is confronted with the fact that Jan is seriously ill, it turns out that true contact has not been self-evident for quite some time. (Nederlands Film Festival)

Just your typical family drama, but with a Dutch twist. Unfortunately, it’s also incredibly dull and lacks any excitement. Nothing here really stands out.
