Hello! Sandy Bell

Sandy lives with her father in a little country village. She becomes friends with Mark, who loves painting. They grow up together and their friendship becomes love. But Mark's parents are killed in a car accident, and Mark leaves the village with the ambition to become a true artist. It is then that Sandy's father dies of illness, and sends her to London to meet a friend of his, reporter for a newspaper, in the hope that he will be able to help find Sandy's mother. After a while, Sandy comes to enjoy the life of a reporter, and she travels throughout the country to find news, to find her mother, and to find Mark. (official distributor synopsis)
