I used to really like this movie, but as one ages, you see that it's just a simpler Hollywood spectacle. It starts quite harshly but then turns into an adventure comedy, losing the serious tone that appeared at the beginning. That aspect bothered me, and the fact that it takes place in Slovakia didn't help either.

This film remains fresh, entertaining, and funny. An easygoing affair, where the visual effects have aged only slightly and the main characters are still timeless and charismatic. A film with a clear message. It is slightly spoiled by a low rating, but nothing can be done about it. A legend in its time.

One of my most favourite films. A beautiful and entertaining adventure where you will have a great time and maybe even shed a tear at the end.

Great fantasy where the most likeable dragon ever literally shines. The ending is incredibly moving and it makes me very soft inside.
