Busby Berkeley, the creator, was simply one of the greatest figures in the musical genre of the entire film era. "Babes in Arms" is overall more of a positive film, although it does not completely avoid some more serious themes and tries to address them a little. Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland fit together perfectly and they are great to watch.
