Hello, Goodbye

Alain (Gerard Depardieu) is a successful doctor in his mid-fifties who has been married to Gisele (Fanny Ardant) most of his adult life. Looking for a change and eager to embrace their Jewish heritage, they decide to pull up stakes and move from Paris to Tel Aviv. But fate puts a damper on their enthusiasm when the apartment they rented is not at all what they expected, their baggage gets lost en route, Alain`s job falls through, and to add insult to injury, Gisele strikes up an uncomfortably close friendship with a handsome young rabbi (Lior Ashkenazi).
